Self-Censorship: Where The Real Damage Is Being Done

1 Comment

“After my August Twitter suspension a #Resistance account publicly doxxed me, posting my home address, phone number and other information. I didn’t make a public ordeal out of it at the time because I obviously didn’t want to draw attention to it, but I did report it because I wanted it deleted. I was not expecting Twitter Support to reject my report, especially after they had me jump through a bunch of hoops to prove that I did in fact live where the doxxer was saying I lived, but they did.”

(CJ Opinion) — I was going to write another article today about a different topic, but I backed down because I didn’t think I could deliver the kind of fiery, forceful, unmitigated argument it would need to be without risking getting banned from social media and blogging platforms.

The article I was planning on writing, which you’ll just have to imagine now, would have been titled “ ‘Assange Can Leave Whenever He Wants!’ No, Idiot, He Can’t.” The feature image was going to be a screen shot of a blue-checkmarked empire loyalist named Greg Olear tweeting the infuriatingly dopey argument that Assange is free to just waltz out the embassy doors whenever he wants, so therefore he isn’t actually being imprisoned by an Orwellian power establishment for publishing authentic documents about powerful people. Never mind the fact that you can say exactly the same thing about literally anyone under political asylum; they are all free to leave the political asylum they’ve been granted at any time, and pointing this out is just describing the thing that political asylum is. Never mind the fact that a UN panel ruled that Assange is being arbitrarily detained by the threat of imprisonment. Never mind that the same US government which tortured Chelsea Manning is currently openly pursuing Assange’s arrest because of his publications, making the assertion that he’s “free to leave” the same as saying he’s “free” to jump off a cliff. People don’t want to believe that their government imprisons journalists, so whenever Assange is in the news you see this argument making the rounds.

I’ve been self-censoring more and more lately, especially since the latest round of coordinated cross-platform silencing of multiple alternative media outlets the other day. Back in August I had my Twitter account temporarily deleted when I said the world will be better off without John McCain and a bunch of #Resistance accounts mass reported me; Twitter cited “abusive behavior” as its justification. The only reason my account was restored was because there was a large objection from many high-profile journalists and activists who understand the dangers of internet censorship, and I’m not willing to gamble that I’d get that lucky should something similar happen again. Being able to disrupt establishment narratives on a high-traffic website like Twitter outweighs the benefits of speaking in an unmitigated way.

Anti-vaxx people are really Russian bots

PPJ’s Note:  Who didn’t see this coming?  Russia is now blamed for supposedly poisoning the public against vaccinations.  Never mind that we have hundreds of thousands of children permanently damaged by vaccines, that we have scientific evidence that vaccines cause more harm than any good they might do.  It couldn’t possibly be that the CDC profits greatly from buying, selling and promoting vaccines, that the HPV vaccine along with the MMR are so highly dangerous they are banned in France, Japan and Israel.   Dont even consider for a  moment that no vaccine safety testing has been done in more than 40 years!  Don’t think about Italy repealing mandatory vaccines as a result of massive harm and costs to public health……just think about the Russians!  Yeah!  That’s it!  Its the Russians!

PS:  Senator Pan who pushed mandatory vaccines thru in California has exempted his children from vaccinations. say what???

Jon Rappoport’s Blog

Well, well. The virulently pro-vax forces have just discovered their opponents are really, wait for it, Russian bots, launched to promote societal discord and polarize conflict.

That settles it. Nothing to see, move along. The arguments rejecting vaccine safety and efficacy were just bot-nonsense. No need to understand what they were saying. It was all a sham. Vaccines are wonderful. Everybody knows that.

On California Senator Richard Pan’s website—Pan sponsored the mandatory childhood vaccination bill in CA that became law—we find this:

“Dr. Richard Pan, a pediatrician and state senator representing the Sacramento region, responded to the study, Weaponized Health Communication: Twitter and Russian Trolls Amplify the Vaccine Debate, published in the American Journal of Public Health.”

[Senator Pan states] “This research provides evidence that foreign and domestic agents are manipulating social media through bots to discourage vaccination to promote their own agendas; Russian trolls for sowing political discord and commercial and malware distributors for marketing. In addition, the researchers concluded that a significant proportion of anti-vaccination messages are organized ‘astroturf.’ Manipulation of social media to promote anti-vaccine messages by outside agents poses a serious threat to the health and safety of Americans…”

The devious implication? There is no serious anti-vaccine research, it’s all bots and Russians.

I know at least a dozen serious independent vaccine researchers who have found huge holes in conventional vaccine mythology—but guess what? It turns out they’re non-human bots. Who knew I was sitting having coffee with a bot? Wow. Amazing what you learn when you listen to Authorities.

Now openly admitted, governments and militaries around the world employ armies
of keyboard warriors to spread propaganda and disrupt their online opposition.
Their goal? To shape public discourse around global events in a way favourable
to their standing military and geopolitical objectives. Their method?
The Weaponization of Social Media. This is The Corbett Report.

The dark side of social media: The Pentagon loves Facebook

Walk down the street these days and you’ll see half the people you encounter have their nose buried in their smart phones.

It’s not an accident.

It’s planned and encouraged – and it’s not for your benefit.

We helped break this story TEN years ago, and it’s only just reaching public consciousness now.

Long before social media, the US Army Corps of Engineers had their employees posing as “average citizens” parroting their press releases – as the bodies of people killed by the Corp’s ineptitude and corruption were still floating in the flooded streets of New Orleans.

DIGITAL KINGDOMS AND OUR FIGHT FOR FREEDOM

    Author,  Chuck Frank
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The idea of freedom has been one big part of the American Dream for as long as I can remember.  It is a word that has been embedded in our culture for over two centuries and it was the reason why so many immigrants have fled their own countries to the land of the free and the home of the brave.
 For the cause of freedom, American soldiers have fought abroad in many wars but also for the purpose of preserving unity, liberty, and individual rights for all.  Notice, I did not include justice because that word  is far too ambiguous.  What may be just to one person may not be just for another.
The times they are a changing.
Now taking the freedom factor a bit further, the framers of the U.S. Constitution insured the people’s freedoms by drafting the Bill of Rights which were the first 10 amendments to the Constitution and these tenets were generally meant to protect the common people, but not from those enemies abroad as much as it was to protect the people from their own government.  China and numerous countries do not have this protection.  Yet, this truth will not be found in ones elementary school textbook nor will it be found in any books that are
assigned by a professor in a university.
