With our southern border with Mexico, now a virtual war zone and as the beheadings, murders, drug trafficking, human trafficking and overall violence escalates each day, the federal government has come up with a sure-fire plan on how to gain control of the situation.  They have moved ahead with the plans to integrate Canadian and US police to be used for border security, intelligence sharing, and of course your basic over the top government spying on absolutely everyone at, on or around the US- Canadian border.  Referred to as the expanded Homeland Security Perimeter, the North American Union is being putting in to place.

Yes, that’s right.  With our southern border exploding with violence, drug wars, illegal immigration and human trafficking, every effort is being made to secure the border with Canada. We got your troops, both Canadian and US on both sides of the border, your drones for aerial spying, your checkpoints, your RFID infrastructure, your real time physical surveillance, biometric scanners, and access to a massive data base of individuals compiled for no other reason than ……they can.

And now we can indiscriminately decide someone, anyone, everyone is a criminal, needs investigating, hunting down or is a terrorist and proceed to terrorize them, hold them indefinitely, torture them if we choose to, and generally destroy their lives because after all……it’s the only way the two governments can keep us [safe].

Has anyone asked how we are to keep ourselves safe from our own governments? More

This has nothing to do with security, crimes or anything else of that nature.  It is a snitch set up.  This is community training.  This is conditioning to get people comfortable with the idea of reporting on their neighbors; a concept repugnant to most free societies, but one very common to police states.

Homeland Security, that bastion of police state warriors has set up housekeeping in the once great state of Oklahoma.  Their new website “Red Dirt Ready” would be more aptly titled “Sniffin’ Dirt”.  The site, all plumped up with militant looking people, some who are, I suppose, supposed to represent first responders and medical personnel, encourages Oklahoman’s to be ready for an emergency!  Why!  You can even win yourself an emergency survival kit!  Oh!  And you can snitch on your neighbors too!

In the upper right hand corner of the header is a “Report Activity” button.  I just had to check it out.  I quickly deduced that native Oklahomans must be somewhat dimwitted or at least Homeland Security and the FBI think they are.

Government Gone Mad in a Total Surveillance Society

I’ve heard it all- the cries, the pleas, the whines, the double speak and the lies. “We need the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to protect us from terrorists.” “We must have Real ID to protect us from illegal immigration.” “We must have E-Verify to protect American jobs.” “Traffic light cameras are necessary to make the streets safer.” “Security cameras on street corners make our neighborhoods safer.” “I’m glad the TSA is there at the airport – I feel so much safer getting on an airplane.” And my favorite lie of them all – “If you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear.” More

McCotter: “Sovereign Wealth Funds Diminish Economic Liberty”

This is not protectionism of anything except Americans’ liberty, prosperity, sovereignty, and security.”

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Thaddeus McCotter (R-MI-11), House Republican Policy Chairman, recently spoke on the House floor about the threat of sovereign wealth funds  The text of McCotter’s remarks are below:

“Mr. Speaker, I would like today to discuss an issue that is on the horizon that could very well affect the economic freedom of Americans, especially their family’s prosperity and happiness. It is an issue that I would also like to thank the chairman of the Financial Services Committee, Representative Frank, and the ranking member of the subcommittee, Representative Kanjorski, for bringing forward.

“The issue I am talking about is the issue of sovereign wealth funds. Many people will question what is a sovereign wealth fund? The answer is very simple. A sovereign wealth fund is a fund that is controlled by a foreign government that then invests into the private market of the United States.

“Many people, especially those within my own party, disturbingly think sovereign wealth funds are a wonderful way to inject capital into the United States. The reality is these are very dangerous instrumentalities of foreign nations and would allow for the potential interference of these foreign nations in our domestic affairs, and not only within our economic sphere.

“One of the reasons I joined the Republican Party was because I oppose socialism, communism; and I wanted to advance the cause of liberty. A sovereign wealth fund denies all of those. Again, a sovereign wealth fund is controlled by a government. Those who recall economics can understand that when a government buys an asset from the private sector, when the government owns it, the product or service has been “nationalized.” This is the root of socialism. Government buys something in the private sector, socialism gets bigger, free markets and free enterprise and free people get diminished. This is the root problem of a sovereign wealth fund. It will diminish the economic liberty of individuals in the face of governments that are trying to control free enterprise.

“We should not have this occurring in the United States of America, the bastion of free enterprise conducted by free people.

“The second problem I have with sovereign wealth funds grows from the first: a foreign country controls this fund. This is not protectionism of anything except Americans’ liberty, prosperity, sovereignty, and security.

“The Communist Chinese have one of the largest sovereign wealth funds in the world. As they continue to tell us, although few people seem to understand that they are serious, they remain communists. The communist sovereign wealth fund from China comes in and buys private assets in the United States. Those government assets are now socialized; and, again, your freedom, liberty, prosperity, and security are diminished and there is a huge problem with this in the hands of the Communist Chinese.

“In addition, whereas in the free market private investment funds have to raise capital voluntarily from individuals and then make rational decisions based upon the profit motive, a sovereign government’s wealth fund is allowed to take and spend and invest. They spend and invest that which they take from their people. They have no accountability to these citizens, and they can invest for a political motive.

“These entities of sovereign wealth funds are antithetical to private sector free market investment. And, again, when they are forced to operate on a private sector profit motive, the sovereign wealth fund can operate on a political motive, which may or may not be in the long-term interests of the people of the United States.

“So for two reasons I would like to go on record immediately in my opposition to sovereign wealth funds in any nation’s hands being invested in the United States and socializing our private sector assets. And I would like to also especially emphasize my abject contempt for nations that are opposed to the United States’ continued existence as a bastion of liberty being able to buy up influence within the United States based upon a solely political motive, and that political motive is not in the people’s best interests.

“So to my fellow Republicans I would ask them to remember why they are Republicans, to remember that we have the duty to advance the economic liberty of Americans and to protect and preserve their liberty and prosperity and security, and ask them to reassess these sovereign wealth funds. Because no matter how much money they inject into our economy to socialize private sector assets, the cost we are going to pay to the long-term vitality of our free people is too high a price to tender to the very enemies of our existence.

– These remarks were delivered on Thursday, March 6, 2008 on the floor of the U.S. Capitol.

National Survey Reveals Strong Opposition To North American Union

While President Bush and his counterparts in Mexico and Canada continue to deny that the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) is the beginning of a North American Union, Americans around the nation are expressing their growing opposition to the scheme.

The American Policy Center, (APC) a grassroots activist organization located in suburban Washington, DC has just concluded a survey of one million American households. The survey, titled Do Americans Support a North American Union asked a series of questions concerning the SPP and the Trans Texas Corridor (TTC). The survey package also included a four-page report prepared by APC entitled NAU Fact Sheet”, providing details about the SPP, the TTC and how these programs are being implemented quietly, behind closed door meetings like the one just completed in New Orleans.

It is important to note that APC did not select households that might represent specific ideological positions. The chosen households represented neither conservative nor liberal positions. Instead the recipients were a wide verity of Americans who live in the direct path of the proposed Trans Texas/NAFTA Corridor, from Texas to Minnesota.

The questions on the survey were:

1. Have you heard of the Security and Prosperity Partnership?

58% of those responding said they had NOT heard of the SPP.

2. Do you think private corporations should have the power to enforce trade policy that may adversely affect our national sovereignty and independence?

This question relates directly to the establishment of Public/Private Partnerships between private corporations and government which grant no-compete clauses and Comprehensive Development Agreements (CDA) which provide guarantees by government to the corporations on investment returns. As such, projects like the TTC are not free enterprise but rather government-sanctioned monopolies. As APC explained this process in the survey, fully 95% of the recipients OPPOSED such policy.

3. Chapter 11 of the NAFTA Agreement states that, disputes over NAFTA-related issues will be heard in NAFTA courts superseding U.S. local, state and federal courts, including the Supreme Court. Question three asked,

Do you think this would be a threat to U.S. Sovereignty?

91% responded YES.

4. The SPP calls for expanding the U.S. security perimeter to include the borders of Canada and Mexico. Question 4 asked,

Do you think it would strengthen U.S. Security to expand our borders to the outer borders of Canada and Mexico?

87% of responders answered NO.

5. Do you think it will strengthen U.S. Border security to allow trucks from Mexico and Canada to travel, free of inspection, up a corridor which has been built and controlled by foreign corporations into the heartland of the United States?

Texas Department of Transportation has already signed a 50 year agreement with a Spanish company named Cintra to build the TTC. In September of 2007 the Bush Administration started a pilot project to allow Mexican trucks to cross the U.S. border without inspections and are free to travel inside the United States. Meanwhile, the Senate passed the 2008 omnibus spending bill that was clearly written and designed to put the breaks on the current pilot program, according to sponsor Senator Bryon Dorgan. Yet, the Bush Administration, under the leadership of Transportation Secretary Mary Peters, continues the program, now in violation of federal law.

95% of responders to the APC survey OPPOSED the Mexican truck project.

6. Would you support efforts to replace the U.S. dollar with a common North American currency some call the “Amero?” Though denied by the Bush Administration, there has been much discussion in economic and academic circles about the creation of a North American currency much like the Euro. In October, 2007, during an appearance on the Larry King Show on CNN, former Mexican President Vicente Fox answered in the affirmative when King asked him about the creation of a united currency. In the May/June issue of the Council on Foreign Relations magazine Foreign Affairs, in an article entitled “The End of National Currency” economist Benn Steil said the dollar is a temporary currency.

92% of survey responders said NO, they would not support such a common North American currency.

7. Do you believe there should be public hearings and debate on this policy before it is allowed to move forward?

To date, there has been no congressional legislation, no congressional hearings and no congressional oversight concerning the establishment or operation of the SPP. No federal money has been officially allocated by Congress. No official authority has been provided for the creation of the SPP. Obviously, Americans feel it is wrong to make such significant changes in our national policy without open debate as 95% of survey respondents said YES, there should be debate and discussion.

8. Should the Bush Administration be allowed to move forward with its plans to crate a North American Community without Congressional approval? Again, the American people have shown they understand that it is Congress which decides such policy as they responded with a resounding 97% NO to this question.

9. Do you believe the United States should be harmonized or merged into a union with Mexico and Canada? The words most often used by the Administration concerning the SPP are, harmonize and integrate. The United States is a representative Republic; Mexico is a socialist government; and Canada is part of the British Crown. There are no grounds for harmonization unless drastic changes are made to the US judicial and financial system. 88% of survey responders said NO to harmonization with Mexico and Canada.

10. Finally, responders were asked to provide their own comments and thoughts on the SPP. The word most often used was Treason. Another said, I want no part of the social health care of Canada and I do not want to incorporate Mexico’s turmoil and poverty into our United States.  Many others said, I want secure borders, not easy traffic between the US, Canada and Mexico. Said another, Bush’s actions formulate a horrifying destruction of our proud nation. Stronger language was used by many more responders. Clearly Americans, once they learn about the SPP are strongly opposed.

However, once again this week (April 21-22) in yet another closed door SPP meeting in New Orleans, President Bush and his fellow heads of state from Mexico and Canada continue to deny the SPP is anything more than a dialogue among the three nations.

Yet, said Tom DeWeese, president of the American Policy Center, the Texas Department of Transportation signs an agreement with the Spanish company Cintra, containing no-compete clauses and guaranteed returns; as the Kansas City council loans $2.5 million to build the inland truck port called KC Smart Port; as the twenty SPP working groups continue to write policy; as the Mexican trucks roll over our borders; as high level meetings go on the Bush Administration dares to deny that ANYTHING is happening. Why? The responses to APC’s survey show why. When Americans understand the truth, they say NO in resounding numbers. Concluded DeWeese, clearly the American people are overwhelmingly opposed to the harmonization of North America. We just want our country — strong, independent and secure.

UNESCO….An experiment in global education has vague answers and even less authority.

The Question:

After viewing the vast amount of plans for education on your website I have an honest question for UNESCO about UNESCO policies and procedures.

I am of the understanding that the UN and UNESCO and all the other UN agencies are merely a place where countries meet to talk.

I am of the understanding they are not any kind of government in and of themselves. Therefore, I am wondering how UNESCO see themselves as the authority by which our educational standards are set and mandated in for example, the USA, which is a free country?

In other words, what gives UNESCO the authority to control the curriculum of our US schools? My guess would be that UNESCO has NO authority to be influencing the USA schools and that teachers should not do things they know are wrong and are detrimental to a child’s mental health and learning.

Thank You.

The Answer:

UNESCO’s role is advisory. The plans and policies you can see on UNESCO’s website are collected and made public as part of UNESCO’s knowledge-sharing role. UNESCO functions as a laboratory of ideas and a standard- setter to forge universal agreements on emerging ethical issues.

The Organization also serves as a clearinghouse – for the dissemination and sharing of information and knowledge – while helping Member States to build their human and institutional capacities in diverse fields. In short, UNESCO promotes international co-operation among its Member States in the fields of education, science, culture and communication.

More specifically in the case of education UNESCO has a mandate to coordinate international partners, and monitor progress in countries and regions towards the implementation of six  internationally agreed goals to achieve education for all by 2015.  To do that it prepares the annual EFA Global Monitoring Report.

www.efareport.unesco.org

In the case of curriculum development UNESCO’s International Bureau of Education (IBE) provides technical assistance to countries. This service is provided upon request.

http://www.ibe.unesco.org/curriculum_dev.htm

For the question of teachers UNESCO alerts the world to the most serious issue facing the teaching profession today: the acute or impending shortage of qualified teachers. The growing demand for teachers caused by Education for All, combined with an aging

teacher population in developed countries, will create shortages of at least 15 million teachers in the next decade.

UNESCO also encourages Governments to use two international norms:

The 1966 ILO/UNESCO Recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers and the 1997 UNESCO Recommendation concerning the Status of Higher-Education Teaching Personnel. They provide guidelines on how educational authorities, communities and teachers’ associations can improve teacher recruitment, training, working conditions, academic freedom, and security employment (including tenure).

I hope this helps

UNESCO is the driving force behind NCLB and a standardized global education that results in illiterate and uneducated students.  Another creation of the United Nations that has crept into our system with the intent to dumb down our young people.  Knowledge is power and UNESCO is determined that todays students have neither knowledge or power.
