REAL ID hidden in immigration reform bill

His administration has been caught red-handed spying on Associated Press reporters.

The IRS is just now admitting to spying on Tea Party and conservative groups — and accused of exacting political revenge on others.

Now you and I see, buried deep within the 800-plus pages of the so-called “Immigration Reform” Bill, a new biometric National ID scheme to open the door to more government intrusion the lives of every American . . .

You and I are supposed to believe neither the Obama administration nor career Washington, D.C. bureaucrats will abuse the massive new powers they crave.

But if recent history teaches us anything, it’s that they will.

That’s why I’m counting on you to

fill out your No National ID Petition IMMEDIATELY.

You see, President Obama and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid have already announced “Immigration Reform” could be brought to the U.S. Senate floor in just a matter of weeks.

As I’ve said, without border security, any deal is dead on arrival.

But another — and perhaps even more dangerous — deal-breaker is the institution of a new National ID card.

Under the National ID scheme, the Department of Homeland Security would create a massive new photo database to include names, ages, and Social Security numbers of every single American.

The database would be tied to a biometric National ID card to include information like fingerprints and facial and retinal scans. More

Freedom’s Phoenix – Now that, under SB1070, all restrictions and prohibitions have been lifted and the state freely exchanges any and all license data of law abiding citizens with the feds, the feds – under Pearce’s leadership within the state – can implement the next part of the plan: no one gets birth certificates unless/until they validate their national id.

Remember, national id is data, not physical.  Once the feds have the data, all other national id pieces of the puzzle can be rolled out until every normal societal interaction can no longer take place without prior government “clearance”, in otherwords until your national id gets checked and cleared.

The next piece of the puzzle to rollout is to prohibit issuance of ANY birth certificate unless and until the parent(s) of the newborns get prior clearance (that they are citizenns) from the US Department of Homeland Security

Arizona: Immigration status will be used to ram through a national ID

Sonoran Alliance – A controversy seems to have come up among conservatives and pro-liberty activists in Arizona regarding Senator Pearce’s anti-illegal immigration bill, SB1070.

I received this nastygram on my windshield at last Thursday’s big teaparty in Tempe.

So, Naturally, I looked into it.

I found that this amendment had been added to Russell Pearce’s anti-illegal immigration bill, SB1070.

“D.  Nothing in this act shall implement or shall be construed or interpreted to implement or establish the REAL ID act of 2005 (P.L. 109-13, division B; 119 Stat. 302) including the use of a radio frequency identification chip.”

However, I also found that this group, the Arizona Campaign for Liberty, is unconcerned about any REAL ID ramifications and specifically pointed out another  section of the bill: E. E1 and E2, in SB1070, which states:

    E. Except as provided in federal law, officials or agencies of this state and counties, cities, towns and other political subdivisions of this state may not be prohibited or in any way be restricted from sending, receiving or maintaining information relating to the immigration status, lawful or unlawful, of any individual or exchanging that information with any other federal, state or local governmental entity for the following official purposes: More

National ID: Who Will Resist?

National ID: Who Will Resist?
by Timothy Baldwin, Esq.

“By resisting, I mean the state representatives passing laws, the governor entering orders and the courts rendering judgments, preventing the federal government from attempting to tax their people for that federal power and from implementing their procedures upon the people of that state. I mean actually and physically resisting the federal government from occupying the state’s territory to execute those unlawful actions.”

U.S. Senators Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) and Lindsey Graham (R., S.C.) introduced a bill which would require all persons in the United States

(“U.S.”) seeking to be employed to obtain a government-issued biometric National Identification card.(FN1) Not so surprisingly, this measure has come in the name of “protecting America” against illegal immigrants working in the U.S. unlawfully. Thus, “[t]o ensure that only people legally in the U.S. can work here, the bill will propose a biometric I.D. for EVERY AMERICAN before anybody can get a job.” (FN2) This is yet another method by which the federal government continually institutes practices and principles contrary to what a Free Confederated Republic should be and contrary to principles of limited government, self-government, natural rights, and true constitutional intent and meaning. Judge Andrew Napolitano rightfully calls this legislation a “monstrosity” and predicts that this bill will not pass. (FN3) Perhaps Judge Napolitano is correct, but we should consider what the people of the U.S. once rejected but now embrace. More

The REAL ID Act has punished innocent Americans with red tape, higher fees, and lost privacy. Some in Congress want to add to these burdens.Let’s stop them! Please tell Congress to repeal REAL ID and oppose any further attempts at creating a national ID card.

You may borrow from or copy this letter . . .

What is the purpose of REAL ID?

* to prevent terrorists from boarding planes, even though there are an infinite number of other ways to engage in terrorism
* to prevent illegal immigrants from getting driver’s licenses – which only increases the likelihood they will drive without ever being tested, creating more dangerous roads

Why should either (misguided) goal interfere with an American citizen’s attempt to renew a driver’s license?

REAL ID is working exactly as I thought it would. It punishes innocent Americans like me with red tape and higher fees by forcing us to “prove” we’re not terrorists or illegal immigrants. More

I’ve heard it all- the cries, the pleas, the whines, the double speak and the lies. “We need the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to protect us from terrorists.” “We must have Real ID to protect us from illegal immigration.” “We must have E-Verify to protect American jobs.” “Traffic light cameras are necessary to make the streets safer.” “Security cameras on street corners make our neighborhoods safer.” “I’m glad the TSA is there at the airport – I feel so much safer getting on an airplane.” And my favorite lie of them all – “If you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear.” More
