OPINION: Part 2

__________________________________________________________

The Southwest is the area where Canadian and Mexican wolves mostly likely will meet and crossbreed. According to USFWS documents, the Mexican wolf’s inbreeding contributes to small litter sizes and low pup-survival rates. Cross-breeding with the non-native Canadian wolves would “solve” the Mexican wolf’s gene pool problem. Call it a “nonessential experimental Mexican wolf subspecies.” Or call it what it is—a bigger crossbred “Mexican” gray wolf.

Matt Cronin, a University of Alaska, Fairbanks and research professor of animal genetics, addressed USFWS officials at their Public Hearing Concerning Mexican Wolves in Arizona on December 3, 2013. He told the panel:

“. . . Mexican wolves went through a very large bottleneck. They don’t represent the original population. They came from a small Canis population. Assessing the subspecies is somewhat futile in that respect.

“. . . subspecies, in general, are basically a subjective category. They are not a hard scientifically blank category.

“. . . this phenomenon of naming species and subspecies has been termed by the broad scientific community as inflation, splitting things into groups with the intent of granting conservation, again. The entire scientific community outside of the wildlife is recognizing this. And it’s very important that we realize that subspecies as a scientific category is subjective. It’s not definitive. The scientific community agrees on it.

“ . . . I suggest you use the entire body of science and the recent discrediting of subspecies that have been listed and reconsider the science. . .”

THE WHITE HOUSE GUN GATE

Obama’s stealth attack on the second amendment! “We’re working on gun control under the radar. I don’t believe that people should be allowed to own guns,” Barry Obama stated in an interview with John Lott Jr.

“My first priority will be to reinstate the assault weapons ban as soon as I take office. Within 90 days, we will go after “kitchen table” dealers and work to end the gunCriminals Love Gun Control show and internet sales loopholes. In the first year, I intend to work with Congress on a national no carry law, 1 gun a month purchase limits and bans on all semi-automatic guns.” by Barack Obama at VPC Fund Raiser, 2007.

With our southern border with Mexico, now a virtual war zone and as the beheadings, murders, drug trafficking, human trafficking and overall violence escalates each day, the federal government has come up with a sure-fire plan on how to gain control of the situation.  They have moved ahead with the plans to integrate Canadian and US police to be used for border security, intelligence sharing, and of course your basic over the top government spying on absolutely everyone at, on or around the US- Canadian border.  Referred to as the expanded Homeland Security Perimeter, the North American Union is being putting in to place.

Yes, that’s right.  With our southern border exploding with violence, drug wars, illegal immigration and human trafficking, every effort is being made to secure the border with Canada. We got your troops, both Canadian and US on both sides of the border, your drones for aerial spying, your checkpoints, your RFID infrastructure, your real time physical surveillance, biometric scanners, and access to a massive data base of individuals compiled for no other reason than ……they can.

And now we can indiscriminately decide someone, anyone, everyone is a criminal, needs investigating, hunting down or is a terrorist and proceed to terrorize them, hold them indefinitely, torture them if we choose to, and generally destroy their lives because after all……it’s the only way the two governments can keep us [safe].

Has anyone asked how we are to keep ourselves safe from our own governments? More

The U.S. Government through our federal agents have encouraged the largest and most feared Mexican drug cartel ( Sinaloa) to traffic several tons of cocaine into the United States in exchange for information about Los Zetas and other rival cartels, according to U.S. federal court documents obtained by U.S. Border Fire Report.

The information is part of the defense of Vicente Zambada-Niebla, who was extradited to the United States to face drug-trafficking charges in Chicago. He is also a top lieutenant of drug kingpin Joaquin “Chapo” Guzman and the son of Ismael “Mayo” Zambada-Garcia, believed to be the brains behind the Sinaloa cartel.

According to the U.S. Attorney General, the Sinaloa Cartel is responsible for importing into the United States and distributing nearly 200 tons of cocaine and large amounts of heroin between 1990 and 2008. More

Mexican Drug Cartel soldiers shot in Arizona desert: Los Zetas officer says shoot to kill Americans in retaliation

Link to new article: UPDATE ON AZ SITUATION  Shooting War at the U.S. Mexican border.___

One of my informants whom I have called Juan in previous news reports, called me recently on the cell phone he provided me at our last meeting a month or so ago. He told me that his boss, a Los Zetas Mexican drug cartel officer, wanted to meet with me and give me some important information regarding the so called war on drugs raging on the border. A date and time was set up for this meeting at a public place.

At this encounter, the Mexican I met was clean shaven with a military style “high and tight” short hair cut, who looked to be about 35 years old or so, claiming to be an officer in the Los Zetas Mexican drug cartel organization. He told me straight out that he believed two of his men were shot and killed recently in the desert in Arizona by American vigilantes and he would be taking revenge. He first said he thought that his men where killed by opposing drug cartel member gangs; saying he and his men had killed several gang members recently whom they thought were responsible for those killings and other recent attacks in the area. That bloody confrontation took place just south of the Arizona border. The shootout  left 21 dead. More

Thousands of acres of the Sonoran Desert closed to Americans!

The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service has closed large portion of Southern Arizona in and around the Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge and all along the southern side of I-8 between Casa Grande and Gila Bend. This is 80 miles north of the Mexican border and its now off limits to American citizens!!

A reliable informant known to us as “Duck Hunter” has told the U.S. Border Fire Report that the Mexican Drug cartels now control large areas of Southern Arizona. According to the Pinal County Sheriff large areas in Southern Arizona are very dangerous and is off limits to U.S. citizens. Where is Congress and DHS in this new Mexican-American war that we seem to be losing?

According to the U.S. Fish & Wildlife this area is about 3500 acres in size. Our concern for public safety is paramount. The situation in this zone has reached a point where continued public use of the area is not prudent. The Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge has been adversely affected by border-related activities. The international border with Mexico has also become increasingly violent.

Brutality of Horse Slaughter Exposed

The Humane Society of the United States

Shocking images of extreme suffering released by USDA

The Humane Society of the United States

Horse with bloody eye

USDA

Documents recently released by the United States Department Agriculture (USDA) contain shocking images of the extreme suffering of horses transported to U.S.-based slaughter plants.

Animals’ Angels, a Maryland-based animal protection organization, obtained the photos as the result of a Freedom of Information Act request related to 2005 violations of the Commercial Transport of Equines to Slaughter Act at the former Bel-Tex horse slaughter plant in Kaufman, TX.

Graphic Injuries and Mistreatment

The photos were taken by USDA officials charged with monitoring the horses upon arrival at the slaughter plant. While some of the photos depict graphic injuries obviously suffered in transport to slaughter (eyeballs hanging off, bruised and bloodied faces, severely injured and missing legs), others show horses who were clearly mistreated by their owners prior to being purchased for and transported to slaughter.

“For far too long, the availability of horse slaughter has allowed unscrupulous horse owners and breeders to use slaughter auctions as a dumping ground for their “excess” horses. It is time for the horse industry to take responsibility for its horses—for their entire lives—instead of hiding behind a foreign owned industry that preys on our companion animals,” said Keith Dane, director of equine protection for The Humane Society of the United States.

In its 1996 Farm Bill, Congress gave the USDA authority to regulate the transport of horses to U.S. based, foreign-owned slaughter plants. The final rule, which was not published until 2001, included a phase out of the use of double-decker trailers to transport horses directly to slaughter.

However, a loophole in the law allows horses to be transported to any other destination, such as auctions, feed lots or intermediary points, on these cramped, dangerous trailers, meant for shorter neck species like cattle and pigs. When forced to travel on these trailers, horses cannot balance properly, causing them to suffer serious injuries, and sometimes death, before arriving at the slaughter plant. Many of the USDA photos depict injuries typical of horses forced to travel on double-decker trailers—severe head injuries, gaping hindquarter wounds, and leg injuries.

The brutal truth behind horse auctions and the journey to slaughter

The Humane Society of the United States

For many horses, the journey to slaughter begins at a local livestock auction. Show horses, camp and lesson horses, race horses, backyard companions, carriage horses, pregnant horses, even wild horses can be standing in a barn or pasture one day, and the next day find themselves loaded onto a trailer, headed for the weekly livestock auction.

Many horse owners bring their horses to these auctions with the expectation that the horse will find a good home. However, the pace of the auction and the often chaotic environment gives sellers little opportunity to show off their horse’s strong points, and it gives buyers little chance to assess whether a particular horse is a good fit for them. Sellers often do not realize that middlemen for foreign-owned slaughter plants—called killer buyers—frequent these auctions, looking for young, healthy horses who will bring a good price at the slaughter plant.

Purchased by Killer Buyers

When a horse is ridden or run loose into the auction ring, the auctioneer will quickly try to run up the bidding price. Often, killer buyers can be seen standing inside the auction ring, communicating directly with the auctioneer. At many auctions, would-be buyers include not only families looking for riding horses, but also horse rescue organizations trying to outbid killer buyers for horses that they know they can rehabilitate and adopt into loving homes.

While the auction environment is stressful, confusing and dangerous for horses, once they are purchased by killer buyers, their suffering intensifies. Driven by profit, the killer buyer will cram as many horses as possible onto a livestock trailer for the long journey to a feedlot or foreign owned slaughter plant. As in the auction pens, no regard is given for the age, sex, breed or temperament of the horses. In the crowded, cramped confines of the trailer, fighting, serious injury and even death are frequent occurrences. Once the horses are loaded onto trucks, they may remain there for days at a time, with no food, rest or water.

Transport to Slaughter

While some state laws prohibit the transport of horses on double decker trailers (designed for shorter-necked species such as cattle and pigs), current federal regulations allow horses to be transported on these trucks to any destination except directly to a slaughter plant. On these trailers, horses are forced into a stooped, unnatural position, unable to maintain their balance.

Startling USDA documents obtained by the nonprofit investigative organization Animals’ Angels reveal horses arriving at U.S.-based slaughter plants with horrific injuries suffered in transport. Graphic photos depict horses with missing and dangling eyes and legs, severe head and back injuries—even horses dead on arrival. In recent years, there have been several horrific accidents involving horses being transported to slaughter on double-decker trailers.

Even in regular trailers, long distance travel without food, water, or rest is a recipe for disaster. Horses who fall down or are injured en route are considered “the cost of doing business.” Even under the transport regulations, horses who are heavily pregnant, missing an eye or otherwise injured can be legally hauled for more than 24 hours at a time.

Federal officials said the team of shooters were tipped off that people attending the birthday party were members of a rival gang known as Artistas Asesinos (Artists Assassins), who reportedly work for the Joaquín “Chapo” Guzmán drug cartel from Sinaloa     El Paso/ Juárez Metroplex

Relatives of the 16 victims killed in a birthday party massacre in Juárez recently contacted an attorney in the United States seeking asylum.
El Paso Immigration lawyer Carlos Spector told reporters that survivors of the Juarez birthday party massacre and members of their families come to El Paso and met with him and “are exploring their options, including seeking asylum.”

He said a well-founded fear of persecution would be a good reason for them to seek asylum because family members have begun to criticize the government of Mexico and Juárez. More

Ramirez was killed even though his father had paid $40,000 out of a $100,000 dollars ransom demand. But court documents obtained by Action 4 News show that Ramirez was not the only victim.”

One of the most dangerous Mexican Drug Cartels (MDC’s) known as the Gulf Cartel orders kidnappings and murders of Americans. What most Americans do not know about is that Americans have been kidnapped and murdered on both sides of the Mexican U.S. Border by Mexican Drug Cartel orders. Case in point the feds arrested suspected cartel kidnapping murderous gang members who are accused of taking American victims from Texas to Mexico where they were tortured, held for ransom and in this case — killed. The trial for alleged kidnapping ring member Luis Alberto Avila-Hernandez started before U.S. District Court Judge Randy Crane in McAllen Texas last week with out much fanfare or main stream media attention.

In still other cases the MDC’s have reached deep into the United States to kill Americans. MDC’s known member Jose Daniel Gonzalez was murdered on American soil in El Paso Texas. Gonzalez according to law enforcement was acting as an U.S. Government informant feeding important information about several Mexican Drug Cartel families to the feds. More

Remembering La Gloria: New television documentary traces origins of the H1N1 pandemic back to pig farms in Mexico

by GRAIN

This past November people from all over Mexico gathered in the Valley of Perote, where the village of La Gloria is located, for the fifth Asamblea Nacional de Afectados Ambientales [National Assembly of Environmentally Affected].

It is a large, periodical gathering of a network of communities and organisations struggling against environmental devastation in Mexico. The location for this most recent gathering was chosen in recognition of the importance of the local struggles against the large pig farms in the area, which had gained national and worldwide attention when the first human cases of pandemic H1N1 swine flu were traced back to La Gloria in April 2009.

This was the second Asamblea for the people of La Gloria and the first for an alliance of communities in the Valley of Perote who have now joined La Gloria in resisting factory farming. Out of the swine flu crisis, the struggle against factory farming has grown stronger, moving from isolated local resistance to a major component of a national movement.

A new documentary on the H1N1 pandemic and factory farming, based on the experiences of La Gloria and the neighbouring communities, now brings this struggle to an international audience and puts factory farming back on centre stage in the story of the H1N1 pandemic. READ MORE (Includes Video)
