Why The Numbers Matter

Let me see if I have this right. Although only 103,000 new jobs were generated in December, the unemployment rate is down because a large number of people have simply thrown their hands in the air and given up trying to find employment.

According to the grand pooh-bahs at the Bureau of Labor Statistics in the District of Criminals (D.C.), the unemployment rate fell to 9.4%

And, the whole construct will likely be “seasonally adjusted” in a few weeks. More

Dear Internal Revenue Service:

Enclosed you will find my 2007 tax return showing that I owe $3,407.00
in taxes.  Please note the attached article from the USA Today newspaper;
dated 12 November, wherein you will see the Pentagon (Department of Defense)
is paying $171.50 per hammer and NASA has paid $600.00 per toilet seat.
I am enclosing four (4) toilet seats (valued @ $2,400) and, six (6) hammers valued @ $1,029), which I secured at Home Depot, bringing my total remittance to $3,429.00.

Please apply the overpayment of $22.00 tothe “Presidential Election Fund,” as noted on my return. You can do this inexpensively by sending them one (1) 1.5″ Phillips Head screw (see aforementioned article from USA Today newspaper detailing how H.U.D. pays $22.00 each for 1.5″ Phillips Head Screws).  One screw is enclosed for your convenience.It has been a pleasure to pay my tax bill this year, and I look forward to paying it again next year.

The above letter was sent to me by a PPJ reader.  Although the letter is fictional, the facts in it are not, but this is where the deception takes place..  On the books it looks as if these amounts are actually paid for these items, when in fact, a very normal price is paid to the vendor and the excess is skimmed off, then used to pay for things like black ops, weapons development and other covert operations.  No one is allowed to know how much money is designated to Black Ops, or how much it actually receives in excess of legitimate funding via transactions like those listed in this letter.  While it may be outrageous to see such bloated prices paid for things like toilet seats, hammers and screwdrivers, its all smoke and mirrors.  Its just a case of creative manipulation of funding………that you aren’t supposed to know about.
