Who is afraid of ……..

The rumors, innuendo’s and probably a fair amount of good information is circulating about Obama.  Republicans are working furiously to make him into some kind of boogey man.  Be afraid! Be very afraid!  If Obama gets re-elected you never know what will happen.

Yes, actually we do.  The same thing that will happen if Romney is elected.

Either one will:

  • continue to deconstruct the United States,
  • sign away our sovereignty with free trade agreements
  • sell more of our infrastructure off to foreign interests
  • lie us into more wars
  • continue the building of the police state
  • condone the unwarranted spying on and surveillance of Americans
  • continue to push Agenda 21 to end property rights
  • use the phoney “global warming” crap to increase taxes
  • take all water rights except those granted to corporations More

My morning coffee and subsequent conversations with the guys about world affairs eventually came round to the recent primaries and the fact that it appears the fringe lunatics on the right, those who spout scripture at the drop of a hat, those who have immersed themselves in mad-made dogmas that they claim to be words from God, are ruling the political asylum…at least in South Carolina.  Even Georgia looks to be set to launch serial philanderer,

The Ten Amendments: An open letter from God to Republicans

consummate liar, pathologically immoral and unethical, Newty Gingrich one step closer to the GOP nomination.  To see this bloated, flaccid miserable man set up as the golden boy for the party that claims a higher morality and Christian family values, is an affront to anyone of true faith.  This could not be more indicative of the true amoral character of the GOP.  In fact, the only way this could be worse is if Newty was married to or philandering with “Man” Coulter.

So …….what happened to all the God talk?  What happened to doing God’s work?  What happened to speaking with/to God and looking for messages only your heart can hear?  How is it that the Party of God is pulling out all the stops to nominate one of the most morally repugnant, notoriously unethical and personally vacant individuals to (dis)grace the political stage?  More

North Carolina SB 141 NIB : The Right To Conceal Carry For Special People.

Left: Citizen Right: Government Employee

Arrogance abounds in the halls of North Carolina Legislature. All citizens are special, but according to SB 141(pdf) – some are “more special” than others

State lawmakers last week introduced a bill that would allow North Carolina district attorneys, assistant DAs and investigators to carry concealed weapons while on official business. Sen. Debbie Clary, R-Cleveland, said some prosecutors fear falling victim to violence.

“They want the right to protect themselves,” said Clary, a co-sponsor of the bill. “They have a very dangerous job just as all of our law enforcement does.”

Partial Text:

A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT ANY DISTRICT ATTORNEY, ASSISTANT DISTRICT
ATTORNEY, OR INVESTIGATOR EMPLOYED BY THE OFFICE OF A DISTRICT
ATTORNEY WHO EITHER HAS A CONCEALED HANDGUN PERMIT THAT IS
VALID IN NORTH CAROLINA OR WHO HAS BASIC LAW ENFORCEMENT
TRAINING CERTIFICATION IN NORTH CAROLINA IS EXEMPT FROM THE
GENERAL PROHIBITION AGAINST CARRYING A CONCEALED WEAPON AND
FROM THE PROHIBITIONS AGAINST CARRYING A WEAPON ON CERTAIN
PREMISES OR IN CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES.

Here is an interesting question to ask the Sponsor(s) of SB 141 – why can’t Defense Attorneys be granted this special status along with Government Employees? More

This article was written originally during the Bush2 Admin.  It is more relevant now than ever.

“A true American realizes and believes that government is a necessary evil which left unchecked will become our master and not our servant.  He or she also knows that a political party is nothing more than a special interest group whose primary motivation is self-perpetuation.”

The thing most feared by our Founding Fathers was the gullibility of the masses whereby a demigod or group of demigods cater to and capitalize upon commonly held misconceptions and fears and lead the Nation down a path that is not in our best interest.  The end result being that the actions taken are of benefit only to the ruling elite at our expense.  In the United States of America today, this fear of our Founding Fathers has been realized.  Our government no longer abides by the most important and key provisions of our Constitution and only pays lip service to what remains to make Joe Blow citizen think he or she is free and living a democratic society. The problem faced by those who see through the hypocrisy is that most Americans are not aware that a problem exists.  The reasons for this are that they lack the intellectual capacity to figure things our for themselves, they fail to understand that our own government can be our biggest threat and worst enemy, and because things have degenerated so far in our society that the economic well-being of far too many citizens and institutions are dependent upon government largess and subsidies.  In other words, our government has deteriorated to the point where it bribes us with our own money and as a result, Americans view Uncle Sam as a benevolent sugar daddy irrespective of constitutional concerns and whatever wrongful and deplorable activities the government is up to behind our backs. How Does a Corporation Speak?

By William A. Cohn

The Supreme Court’s 5 to 4 ruling in Citizens United v. FEC giving corporations greater rights to use shareholder money to influence elections is radical, already impacting the November U.S. midterm elections and politics in general. Yet it is only the latest of many expansions of corporate rights over the past 150 years. Let’s step back to consider the most recent fallacy made by the high court in equating corporations with natural persons and citizens. More
