Israel Invades: Takes lives, Destroys Sustaining Infrastructure

Recently Israel shelled a beach near two of Gaza City’s hotels. Twelve years ago, I dined with Gaza friends in one of those hotels overlooking that same beach. Israel’s shelling killed four Philistine boys instantly, four boys from the same family. Several others were wounded, and the incident was witnessed by two reporters who were staying in one of the hotels. The people killed and injured were guilty of nothing more than having an hour of fun on a hot day on that beach. Israel then publicly pronounced its act as “a tragedy.” This is Israel’s standard way to dismiss its most inhumane abuses of life, then it repeats the acts. The very next day, Israel invaded with tanks through Erez Gate into Gaza. This time there is every reason to believe that Israel’s agenda is to cause death by deprivation of the estimate 1.5 million Gaza gulag inmates, except those who can and will leave. This story is too painful to write, and I pray it will be proved to be wrong. But I am finding others who fear Israel has already started genocide and ethnic cleansing of Gaza.

Why does Hamas continue launching rockets when it is getting crushed by Israel?

Robert Hunter, a former senior adviser at the RAND Corporation, an adviser to the White House under several administrations and the Ambassador to NATO, gives surprising insights into Hamas. In the video below Hunter reveals that Israel did play a major role in the creation of Hamas decades ago to diminish the popularity of the PLO. (Note: unfortunately, Hunter was wrong about his prediction for a truce). More

I realize my views on this are not politically correct, but I refuse to sit silently as so many others do who hold the same views as I do, out of fear that those driven insane by religious mysticism and magical thinking and a perverse interpretation of scripture, will attack. And they will. And those attacks, composed of profane language, vicious verbal assaults, remarks so filthy that it shocks the mind, will all come from people , many of whom are “born again”, who are so-called “Christians” professing some kind of relationship with their God.  The most vile and horrendous remarks I have ever seen posted on public venues have come from individuals who claim a personal relationship with “God”.

Mark Dankof

News Release: Glenn/Dankof Show on The Ugly Truth: Show Post on the Internet on Wednesday, 23 June 2010: Gilad Atzmon

Lutheran clergyman and ex-Republican and Constitution Party political activist Mark Dankof, joins host Mark Glenn on The Ugly Truth for a conversation with Israeli-born, British jazz saxophonist Gilad Atzmon.

Born on June 9, 1963, Gilad Atzmon’s musical career has been matched by one as a political activist critical of Jewish identity, Judaism, and Zionism. A feature story by John Lewis in the British Guardian on Atzmon in March of 2009 chronicles the controversial musician’s life.  Widely read in the Arab world, Mr. Atzmon’s views were the subject recent major coverage in the Arab News. An excerpt from the latter piece states:

According to the famous Israeli-born Jazz musician, Gilad Atzmon, “The ideology that carried out execution-style killings on the Gaza aid flotilla the ‘Mavi Marmara’ is the same ideology that carried out the massacres at Deir Yassin, Qibya, Sabra and Shatilla, Qana, Gaza, Jenin and the murder of Rachel Corrie — more than that it is the same ideology that killed Christ.”

Listen to the interview here.

Mr. Atzmon’s album, Exile, was the BBC’s jazz album of the year in 2003.  The Amazon listing for the recording may be accessed here.  Ari Davidow’s review of Exile may be accessed here.

Join Mark Dankof and Mark Glenn on Fridays for news reviews and analysis at The Ugly Truth.

Freedom Flotilla: “Israel is Threatening to Attack Us”

Editor note:  this is an excellant article about the true conditions of the Palestinians and the attempted eradication of them, by Israel.  The Freedom Flotilla has been threatened with attacks by Israel as it attempts to bring food, necessities and construction materials to the communities devasted by the on-going Israeli attacks. This site also includes numerous videos and information you won’t find anywhere else….especially not on MSM(for morons).  Marti____

1. The quote in the title headline is from the video below featuring Huwaida Arraf, an American-born Christian woman of Palestinian heritage married to a Jew, Adam Shapiro, the  head of the International Solidarity Movement (ISM). Rachel Corrie was with the ISM when she was murdered.  Ms. Arraf  is talking about the Freedom Flotilla, a group of ships heading to Gaza to break the illegal Israeli blockade of Gaza’s shore. In addition, the Flotilla is not just carrying “humanitarian aid” – you know, shitty food that Jews occupying Palestine wouldn’t eat themselves, they are carrying construction materials so that Gaza can rebuild itself after the terrorist murderous Israeli invasion of Gaza about a year and a half ago.  Said invasion being a series of war crimes against the Palestinian people that was bravely supported by both houses of the Congress of the United States of America, a fact which all decent Americans are utterly ashamed of.

Here is Ms. Arraf talking about the Flotilla. There is no question in my mind that the Israelis are far more afraid of people like Huwaida Arraf and the 750 or so good folks on board the Freedom Flotilla than they have ever been of suicide bombers. READ MORE

gaza_deesI have to ask who it is Harry Reid claims he is speaking for?  Who is it whose will he claims to be doing?   Not one of these congressional royals bothered to ask [Americans] what they think.  Of course, they did check with the Israeli’s to make sure they voted to protect them.  Obviously these were the Americans Reid speaks of.

The Best Congress

Money Can Buy

The US House of Representatives has voted to endorse a resolution backing Israel in its offensive in Gaza, in which at least 900 Palestinians have been killed.

The body passed Friday’s resolution “recognizing Israel’s right to defend itself against attacks from Gaza” by 390 votes to five.

The measure also noted that the humanitarian situation in Gaza “is becoming more acute” but did not rebuke Israel.

Keith Ellison, the only Muslim member of US congress, was among the 22 members of the House who voted “present”, which means that they voted neither in favour or against the resolution.

“I cannot vote against this resolution because I believe every country in the world has the right to defend itself,” the Minnesota congressman said in a statement.

“At the same time I cannot vote for this resolution because it barely mentions the human suffering of the Palestinians in Gaza.”

Dennis Kucinich, a Democratic congressman for Ohio who voted against the bill said before the vote: “I’m hopeful that we do not support the inhumanity that has been repeatedly expressed by the Israeli army.”

“We must take a new direction in the Middle East, and that new direction must be mindful of the inhumane conditions in Gaza”.

US-Israel ties

Washington has been Israel’s closest ally since 1948, when Harry Truman, the former president, made the US the first country to recognize Israel.

The US has been repeatedly criticized by Arabs for its unstinting support of Israeli actions. The US frequently blocks United Nations resolutions critical of Israel and on Thursday abstained from a Security Council vote calling for a ceasefire in Gaza.

The House has passed similar measures in recent years by massive majorities.

In 2006, the House voted to condemn Hamas and Hezbollah for “unprovoked and reprehensible armed attacks against Israel” and supported Israel’s incursion into Lebanon.
In 2004, the body voted to support a statement by George Bush, the US president, that it was “unrealistic” to expect Israel to return completely to its pre-1967 borders.

The US senate had voted on Thursday to back its own resolution offering “unwavering commitment” to Israel.

That recognized “its right to act in self-defense to protect its citizens against acts of terrorism” and urged a ceasefire that would keep Palestinians from firing rockets at Israel.

Harry Reid, who leads the Democratic majority in the senate, said on Thursday following that vote: “Our resolution reflects the will of the state of Israel and the will of the American people.”
