“But two of the highest-ranking officials who were subjects of the investigations will apparently escape penalty. Both retired during the investigation, rendering them safe from any administrative punishment, and the Justice Department has declined to prosecute them on the charges suggested by the inspector general.”  Their current locations and occupations cannot be verified at this time. “

Guess where some of the Department of Interior’s personnel are now (after running wild horses off their federally protected Herd Management Areas)?

Ken Salazar

– Secretary of the Department of Interior, 2009 – February, 2013

In June, 2013, it was announced that Ken Salazar became a partner in the law firm WilmerHale in Denver.  WilmerHale represented BP after the 2010 Deepwater Horizon spill in the Gulf of Mexico.  (This huge environmental disaster happened under Salazar’s watch as Secretary of the Interior.)  What’s really funny is a quote by Salazar in the Denver Post:

“I said in 2010 I will put my boot on the neck of BP,” Salazar said. “I will be completely segregated from revenues that come in from BP. I am not going to represent BP, and I’m not going to make any money from BP now or ever.”

When asked how much money he is being paid as partner, Salazar said, “It’s a very good package.

Wilmer Hale has also represented Monsanto.

Ron Wenker

Director of Bureau of Land Mangament (BLM) in Nevada and was even the Director of the entire BLM for awhile!

WenkerRon Wenker was arrested in 2012 for sexually abusing a girl (a relative) from the time she was 8 years old until she was 13 years old, when he was finally caught by the girl’s brother.

So, the man who led the Nevada BLM and even led the ENTIRE BLM for a short while, was quoted on RGJ.com as making the following statements to detectives:

“Wenker said inappropriate touching escalated to oral sex. He said his behavior was “very dumb” and “illegal.”

“Ronald added that he has a deep emotional bond with (the relative) and that he thought she was enjoying the touching as much as he was,” detectives wrote of Wenker’s interview.

“…Ronald added that he isn’t a pedophile and that he had a deep, emotional attachment and love for his (relative) that evolved into a sexual relationship,” the detectives continued. “Ronald stated that he had been struggling with the urge to have sexual contact with (the relative) over the years, but he never sought any help or counseling with the issue. Ronald stated that he was telling himself ‘no more’ but he slipped …”

Think about it.  This was happening during the time Ron Wenker was at the pinnacle of major BLM decision making and this is an example of his reasoning, judgment, and (lack of) ethics.

In May, 2013, Wenker was sentenced to three life terms after pleading guilty to Sexual Assault and Lewdness with a Minor Under the Age of 14.  He will be eligible for parole in 30 years.

Dependence on foreign oil and other oil industry hoaxes and scams

While we struggle as a nation to stay on our feet despite the mismanagement of our national debt and the number of people sliding into poverty as a result of fascism, one of the greatest scams of all times has unfolded right before our very eyes.  This scam only slightly more disgusting than the global warming/climate change/man-made climate change, or whatever the current and ever changing buzzword is this week to describe “weather” patterns.  Now we have “dependence on foreign oil”….Yep! That’s the one!

One of the greatest all-time scams perpetrated by the oil cartels and our government is the idea that we do not produce enough gas and oil products to make us energy independent.  The fact is, we do and we always have.

According to various reports, the export of fuel in 2011 from U.S. refiners topped the markets at 117 million gallons per day of gasoline, diesel, jet fuel and other petroleum products, up from 40 million gallons per day a decade earlier.  For the first time in our history gas and oil EXPORTS were the top of the export list although they have been in the top ten exports for years!

Wait a minute!  I thought we needed to drill more!  I thought we didn’t have enough gas and oil produced domestically for us to be independent from foreign oil imports!  But we got 117 million gallons of refined fuels to ship out to other countries every single day of the week?  365 days a year?  More

Smart Meters: PG&E Blinks After Lawsuit Is Filed

 By Cassandra Anderson

EMF Consultant & Regulatory Advisor David Wilner of Novato California filed a lawsuit against utility provider PG&E concerning SmartMeters that have been deployed to over 8 million homes, at a cost of $2.2 billion.  PG&E contends that SmartMeters are safe, yet they have asked the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) to give customers an opt-out choice of radio-free SmartMeters or returning to analog meters.  The CPUC’s decision is still pending.

It is hard to imagine how PG&E could defend itself against the following causes of action in Wilner’s lawsuit:

•  SmartMeters emit radio frequency (RF) radiation which is a health danger.

•  PG&E said that their SmartMeters emit only 1 watt of RF radiation, but they really emit more than 2 watts, so the radiation cloud in the entire network area is more than 16 million watts of RF pulsed radiation!  Wilner’s lawsuit seeks to reduce the radiation down to PG&E’s stated level of 1 watt. Feb 3, 2010 … A natural gas line installed through a sewer line caused the blast that charred a St. Paul home, according to state investigators.

Feb 24, 2010 … A natural gas explosion blew apart a home located near West 50th Street

Unfortunately, this is a story repeated too many times during every heating season.

If a foreign power mandated that natural gas be piped into virtually every home in the northern half of the contiguous United States, we would be in the streets with torches and pitchforks.

NATURAL GAS IS NOT A SAFE HEATING FUEL. When I’ve had a choice, and certainly when I’ve built my own home, my instructions were to cap the natural gas out in the street, as far away from my lodgings as they could get.

Wake up, fellow citizens. Get some realistic controls over this heating fuel, especially in the “freeze-thaw” parts of our country, or run these captains of corporations off to jail and out of business.

Cap and Trade: A Disaster for America

On June 26th, the House of Representatives passed the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009 by a vote of 219 to 212. The bill, also known as “Cap and Trade” legislation, should more appropriately be called “Cap and Tax” legislation because the federal government is trying to “CAP” Americans’ Freedoms and then “TAX” the necessities of living like gas, food and even heating oil. This bill, like so many other pieces of major federal legislation in recent years, was rammed through congress by the Democratic leadership without even giving the members the time to read it, let alone understand it, all in violation of their now worthless promise to create a more transparent legislative process. The Democrats added 300 pages of amendments to the legislation at 3:00AM on the day of the vote, giving the members of congress less than 12 hours to read the whole 1,200 page bill. Rep. Joe Barton asked repeatedly during the debate on Friday afternoon if there was even a copy of the bill anywhere in the House chamber and Democratic Rep. Ellen Tauscher, who was sitting in the speaker’s chair, repeatedly avoided the question. No full copy of the legislation was ever produced. What was the rush and why were the American people and their elected representatives denied the ability to read the bill before it was voted on?  How does this help the American people? More
