WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE AFTER ALL OF THE CHILDREN ARE GROWN?

It was another truly joyous day in the classroom when I was teaching 6th graders. I had been part of the teacher’s credential program which was aligned with the university system that oversaw student teaching standards in California. All seemed to be well until the Master teacher of the classroom decided that I wasn’t adapting quite well enough to her classic B.F. Skinner, “behavior mod” system meant for the children. The University Education Department, a fly by night, Marxist regime, climbed aboard the Master teacher’s cause and removed me from the classroom. Thus, was the end of my dream to be an elementary school teacher, even though I went through an arbitration process to resolve it.

Certain states in America are not looking for teachers who are more out of the box. They are looking for teachers who agree and promote a tailored agenda which is biased, emotionless, insensitive, heartless and, regimented. Yet, this is just one issue that adds to America’s failing school system.

Textbooks are loaded with political correctness and fake theories, much like the mainstream news and this indoctrination remains part of the curriculum, coming from an out of control government that exceeds the desires of “we the people”, all the while, subverting the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The American people are just not involved in approving textbooks for the schools at the state level.

And the people in Red China are also in the same boat. America, you are being steam rolled by your own state governments and policies such as California’s FAIR Education Act–also referred to as the SB 48, LGBT History Bill.

The “social justice” movement is just one big can of worms that is part of indoctrinating innocent children at an early age. This agenda also pits certain groups against whites and other races as well. Sure, we know “black lives matter” but so do Native Americans matter, and even the Germans, Italians, Chinese, Jews and the Japanese, yet, textbooks and teachers are now sadly polarizing the races and taking other issues beyond the stars, while taxpayers are paying for all of it, including retirements!

The LBGT movement does not belong in a school textbook nor in a lecture, and publishers will give any school what they want in order to sell thousands of copies of their books. This is part of the reason why the school system is in such dire straits. And those persons who are providing this type of curriculum at the state levels, care not for families and America’s traditional culture which is being destroyed in the process. Schools are supposed to be for learning valuable lessons that can be carried on though adulthood to where a person will be able to navigate through their own society, freely, comfortably, securely, economically, and finally build strong families. Yet, our school system is not providing a secure foundation that will enable our children and those adults in higher education to actually find their way because, traditional core values that are essential in making important choices
are disappearing at light speed.

Watch Free: THE WAR ON KIDS is a documentary that shows how American public schools continue to become more dangerously authoritarian. In addition to failing in their mission to educate effectively, they erode the country’s democratic foundation and often resemble prisons.

It is no secret that failing American schools, as a whole, has been influenced for decades by the hard progressive left and what exactly was the fruit that came from this diseased tree?

Let’s take a look.

One source in 2015, the Washington Post, tells us the following with regard to students.

“Surely one reason why so many Americans lack writing skills is that, for decades, most U.S. schools failed to teach them. Back in 2011, a nationwide test found that only 24 percent of the students in 8th and 12th grades were proficient in writing, and just 3 percent were advanced…The Education Trust recently studied more than 1,200 middle school writing assignments to see whether they aligned with the Common Core standard and faulted them in part because they didn’t require students to write at length.”  We are talking short and medium essays.

Kinan’s Response:

Both candidates have acted inappropriately and both have history.

Private sector history and public sector history are different.

Trump’s alleged history has had no impact on the nation and the world.

Clinton has three decades of public service with little to show America what has been accomplished for America and Americans.

Essentially the government no longer represents the American taxpayers. Is the status quo what America needs or wants?

On one issue alone, “immigration”, the choice should be clear. More

THE MESSAGE OF THE VOTERS

“These concepts and ideas are fundamental to the essence of the United States of America. The voters said we want these fundamentals restored; we do not wish to be fundamentally transformed to a totalitarian Marxist state as Obama and the Marxist/Progressives promised and are doing. Did the Republican Party hear?

_________________________________________________

We were told by Obama that even though he was not on the ballot, his policies were. Yes, they were and the message of the election was loud and clear; America does not like the Marxist policies of the Obama regime. Even though the message was clear, the question is did the leaders of the Republican Party hear and understand the message. We already know Obama did not hear, did not understand, or chose to ignore the message.

What really was the message? It was very simple. The American voter said now that we see how this fundamental transformation that was promised looks, we do not like it. The American voter said we prefer the type of government and society our founders established. They established three basic principles that are excellent for a prosperous, free, and great country and we want these reestablished.

The three basic concepts the founders instituted had never been tried before the founders said we think this type of government and country will allow individual citizens to flourish and prosper and by being individuals they will establish a great and powerful nation. How correct the founders were. Unfortunately, others came along and said what the founders had established needed to be fundamentally transformed. They said what the founders did created a selfish and greedy people who refused to conform to the concept of subjugation to a government and community, as opposed to being a unique and non-conforming individual; the very essence of American greatness. Ron Paul’s ‘Restore America Plan’ Smashes Federal Tyranny

May 30, 2012

Ron Paul’s Restore America Plan is a 12-page budget that cuts $1 trillion in spending the first year and balances the budget by the 3rd year.  Paul proposes eliminating 5 federal executive agencies that include the following departments: Commerce, Education, Energy, Housing and Urban Development and the Interior. The video below explains why it would be a tremendous benefit to get rid of the Department of Interior.

The Department of the Interior has over 70,000 employees and receives more than $12 billion in taxpayer funds.

Federally Owned Land

The Department of the Interior (DOI) is unconstitutional because control over land, water, resources and wildlife are not mentioned as an enumerated power in Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution.  Additionally, the federal government’s ownership of nearly 30% of US land, primarily in the Western states, is an affront to the Equal Footing Doctrine.

When the federal government exerts power that is not specifically given to the feds in the Constitution, it is a violation of the Tenth Amendment and states’ rights.

The Department of the Interior (DOI) has closed enormous swaths of land to development, resulting in economic devastation because most wealth is created from land.  Under Paul’s plan, the States would regain control over their land.

Here are a few examples of how the DOI has abused its power over federal land: More

OPINION

I stumbled across a footnote for the Great Atlantis Search in an old Arizona Highways article (Circa 1940s)—“Ancient Manuscripts on American Stone” by William Coxon—one afternoon while looking for something to read in a waiting room in Houston, Texas.

Coxon, a photographer and archaeologist who died in Arizona in 1963, traveled to Mexico in the late Thirties and stopped by the Mazatlan tourist information center to gather information for a presentation for the locals when he returned home. While there, he encountered Don Manuel, an archaeologist and Aztec who researched ancient history; his in particular. Finding out Coxon was from Arizona, he asked him to take some pictures of certain petroglyphs there when he got home and send them to him and, if he would come by his office the following day, they would talk about it.

Coxon wrote he wasn’t sure what petroglyphs Don Manuel was talking about, and so borrowed some information at the hotel where he was staying. The next day he met with Manuel and told him he was sure there were no petroglyphs in Arizona. It was then Manuel relayed to him his Aztec legend:

“. . . according to the legends of my ancestors, the Nahuatl tribes came to this continent from Atlantis, and crossed overland to the Valley of the Great Salt Lake. Later, they migrated from there to the Valley of the River Gila, and established their first capital. After living there several centuries, they migrated onto the Mexican Plateau. You will find their petroglyphs in Arizona.”

When Coxon returned to his hometown, he made a talk to the Rotary about his trip, spoke of his encounter with Don Manuel, and asked that if anyone had seen petroglyphs of this nature to let him know after the meeting. To his surprise, several men approached and told him where he could find them.

Thoughts for this morning: The challenges to reasoning for ourselves

I was reflecting on a clip tilted:  Most Americans brainless and obedient

It may be hard to believe that the roots of our modern education was in addressing the problem of soldiers thinking for themselves on the battlefield, but this seems that is the case.

About 10 years ago I listened to a fascinating interview with John Gatto in which he described the circumstances that led up the ‘Prussian model of education’…

The Prussian Army had lost a major battle to Napoleon and the generals were called on the carpet to answer to the Prussian aristocracy.

The Generals blamed their defeat on the soldiers thinking for themselves on the battlefield.

The solution proposed was to have the behavioral scientist and the military scientist get together and revise the education system to create a more obedient soldier.

They came up with the idea that moving the youth between cubicles every hour, separated by bells – and the rewarding of students to memorize and regurgitate fragmented, isolated information (testing) – would solve the problem.   More

Stave off Globalism: Reinvigorate Constitutional Principles

“We know how we got into this situation; we forgot to stay alert and hew to the values of our predecessors. Now we must ask how these trends can be reversed.  How can we rid the Unites States of globalism?”

 Michael Shaw
1-12-11

America was founded on certain principles: those of individual liberty and responsibility, a small federal government, and sovereign states that would protect their citizens’ unalienable rights.  Over time many Americans got so involved in living their seemingly free lives they neglected oversight of what was happening to their country. Those who loved American ideals lived them and those who did not were busy working both from within and without the government to eradicate these principles from the American consciousness.

This dumbing down of America was planned and it took place over many decades as Charlotte Iserbyt explains in her Deliberate Dumbing Down of America expose. Controlled media and public education infused the populace with attitudes, values and beliefs that enabled the power thrust of globalists to grow. Thus the greatest political experiment in the history of the world has morphed into what we now call “globalism”.   More

How Many More – The Theory

As I have stated many times in the past “Education” is a very strong tool, and I believe it is just that, educating the public and our Legislators, that will bring the demise of H. 4321 presented by House Members Ortiz and Gutierrez and/or S. 3932 presented by Menendez.

But, one of the provisions not being discussed, that will have devastating effects to our nations sovereignty, safety, sustainability, population concerns and almost every aspect of citizenship is “The Family Unification Plan” referred to as Promoting Family Unity.

Let me say first and foremost, there should be absolutely no discussion of a Comprehensive Immigration Reform (CIR) until our borders and ports are secured, primarily our southern border with military and/or a wall. We will not be fooled by the empty promises and lies, once again. I also believe these bills further erode the “Rule of Law” via amnesty. More

Was it the Roman or Greek senate that was debating when the barbarians began to filter in and sit down beside them while their debates were in progress?

Think modern day barbarians behind the curtain who’ve already taken over  the senate, house, and Washington; who already sit in key government positions and walk the halls of congress; who select candidates for voters to argue over; who provide faux elections for national offices.

Third party?  Perot was as close as we’ll get and the elite forced him to drop out when he bolted the starting gate in 1992 ahead in the three-way presidential race with thirty nine percent  (G. H.W. Bush had 31% and Clinton 25%.) Later, when they told Perot he could come back in the race, he still garnered almost twenty percent of the vote. (He’d been asked to run to bleed votes away from GHWB to insure Clinton’s election; who they’d determined would be America’s next president.)

Perot’s fast start scared the boys behind the curtain spitless in that he probably would have won the election had he been allowed to run an uninterrupted race; given voter disgust with Washington.  It’s worse today and Oz won’t allow another independent run at the presidency, in my opinion.

The boys behind the curtain also place illusions in our heads. Or did in the days before the Internet. Which is easy to do when you control all the information, money, and main stream propaganda outlets.  More

UNESCO….An experiment in global education has vague answers and even less authority.

The Question:

After viewing the vast amount of plans for education on your website I have an honest question for UNESCO about UNESCO policies and procedures.

I am of the understanding that the UN and UNESCO and all the other UN agencies are merely a place where countries meet to talk.

I am of the understanding they are not any kind of government in and of themselves. Therefore, I am wondering how UNESCO see themselves as the authority by which our educational standards are set and mandated in for example, the USA, which is a free country?

In other words, what gives UNESCO the authority to control the curriculum of our US schools? My guess would be that UNESCO has NO authority to be influencing the USA schools and that teachers should not do things they know are wrong and are detrimental to a child’s mental health and learning.

Thank You.

Interested Party

The Answer:

UNESCO’s role is advisory. The plans and policies you can see on UNESCO’s website are collected and made public as part of UNESCO’s knowledge-sharing role. UNESCO functions as a laboratory of ideas and a standard- setter to forge universal agreements on emerging ethical issues.

The Organization also serves as a clearinghouse – for the dissemination and sharing of information and knowledge – while helping Member States to build their human and institutional capacities in diverse fields. In short, UNESCO promotes international co-operation among its Member States in the fields of education, science, culture and communication.

More specifically in the case of education UNESCO has a mandate to coordinate international partners, and monitor progress in countries and regions towards the implementation of six  internationally agreed goals to achieve education for all by 2015.  To do that it prepares the annual EFA Global Monitoring Report.

www.efareport.unesco.org

In the case of curriculum development UNESCO’s International Bureau of Education (IBE) provides technical assistance to countries. This service is provided upon request.

http://www.ibe.unesco.org/curriculum_dev.htm

For the question of teachers UNESCO alerts the world to the most serious issue facing the teaching profession today: the acute or impending shortage of qualified teachers. The growing demand for teachers caused by Education for All, combined with an aging

teacher population in developed countries, will create shortages of at least 15 million teachers in the next decade.

UNESCO also encourages Governments to use two international norms:

The 1966 ILO/UNESCO Recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers and the 1997 UNESCO Recommendation concerning the Status of Higher-Education Teaching Personnel. They provide guidelines on how educational authorities, communities and teachers’ associations can improve teacher recruitment, training, working conditions, academic freedom, and security employment (including tenure).

I hope this helps

California Declares War on Homeschoolers

Homeschoolers are threatened with legal action and the confiscation of their children by the state if they do not comply with California’s educational policy. Is this really for the good of the children and to make sure they are getting a good education?

Justice H. Walter Croskey stated:

A primary purpose of the educational system is to train school children in good citizenship, patriotism and loyalty to the state and the nation as a means of protecting the public welfare.

In other words, a primary purpose of the educational system is to disseminate state-sponsored propaganda.

According to an article by Bob Egelko and Jill Tucker titled

Homeschoolers’ setback sends shock waves through state

The Second District Court of Appeal ruled that California law requires parents to send their children to full-time public or private schools or have them taught by credentialed tutors at home.

Either send your child to public school for the proper indoctrination, or pay for a state-credentialed tutor who has been licensed in the proper methods of indoctrination to state policies, or be criminally prosecuted.

“California courts have held that … parents do not have a constitutional right to homeschool their children,” Justice H. Walter Croskey said in the 3-0 ruling issued on Feb. 28. “Parents can be criminally prosecuted for failing to comply,” Croskey said.

The appellate court ruling has set a precedent that can now be used to go after homeschoolers. “With this case law, anyone in California who is homeschooling without a teaching credential is subject to prosecution for truancy violation, which could require community service, heavy fines and possibly removal of their children under allegations of educational neglect,” Brad Dacus, president of the Pacific Justice Institute said.

The term “educational neglect” lends one to believe that this ruling is concerned with the actual educational quality that students may or may not receive from non-credentialed parents. This couldn’t be further from the truth.

Leslie Heimov, executive director of the Children’s Law Center of Los Angeles, said her organization’s chief concern was not the quality of the children’s education, but their “being in a place daily where they would be observed by people who had a duty to ensure their ongoing safety.”

The state could care less about the quality of education. The main thrust is to have children “in a place daily where they would be observed by people who had a duty to ensure their ongoing safety” and to receive proper indoctrination “in good citizenship, patriotism and loyalty to the state and the nation as a means of protecting the public welfare.”

In California, the state has effectively taken over the rights of parents to “protect” and “educate” their children. Children are the property of the state as soon as the mother gives birth. The state assumes responsibility for their protection, care, and guidance. If parents do not comply with the state’s mandate, they no longer have the privilege of housing their own children, and are discarded as unfit caretakers of the state’s property.

Homeschoolers’ setback sends shock waves through state

Friday, March 7, 2008

(03-07) 04:00 PST LOS ANGELESA California appeals court ruling clamping down on homeschooling by parents without teaching credentials sent shock waves across the state this week, leaving an estimated 166,000 children as possible truants and their parents at risk of prosecution. The homeschooling movement never saw the case coming.“At first, there was a sense of, ‘No way,’ ” said homeschool parent Loren Mavromati, a resident of Redondo Beach (Los Angeles County) who is active with a homeschool association. “Then there was a little bit of fear. I think it has moved now into indignation.”The ruling arose from a child welfare dispute between the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services and Philip and Mary Long of Lynwood, who have been homeschooling their eight children. Mary Long is their teacher, but holds no teaching credential. The parents said they also enrolled their children in Sunland Christian School, a private religious academy in Sylmar (Los Angeles County), which considers the Long children part of its independent study program and visits the home about four times a year. The Second District Court of Appeal ruled that California law requires parents to send their children to full-time public or private schools or have them taught by credentialed tutors at home.

Some homeschoolers are affiliated with private or charter schools, like the Longs, but others fly under the radar completely. Many homeschooling families avoid truancy laws by registering with the state as a private school and then enroll only their own children.

Yet the appeals court said state law has been clear since at least 1953, when another appellate court rejected a challenge by homeschooling parents to California’s compulsory education statutes. Those statutes require children ages 6 to 18 to attend a full-time day school, either public or private, or to be instructed by a tutor who holds a state credential for the child’s grade level.

“California courts have held that … parents do not have a constitutional right to homeschool their children,” Justice H. Walter Croskey said in the 3-0 ruling issued on Feb. 28. “Parents have a legal duty to see to their children’s schooling under the provisions of these laws.”

Parents can be criminally prosecuted for failing to comply, Croskey said.

“A primary purpose of the educational system is to train school children in good citizenship, patriotism and loyalty to the state and the nation as a means of protecting the public welfare,” the judge wrote, quoting from a 1961 case on a similar issue.

Union pleased with ruling

The ruling was applauded by a director for the state’s largest teachers union.

“We’re happy,” said Lloyd Porter, who is on the California Teachers Association board of directors. “We always think students should be taught by credentialed teachers, no matter what the setting.”

A spokesman for the state Department of Education said the agency is reviewing the decision to determine its impact on current policies and procedures. State Superintendent of Public Instruction Jack O’Connell issued a statement saying he supports “parental choice when it comes to homeschooling.”

Brad Dacus, president of the Pacific Justice Institute, which agreed earlier this week to represent Sunland Christian School and legally advise the Long family on a likely appeal to the state Supreme Court, said the appellate court ruling has set a precedent that can now be used to go after homeschoolers. “With this case law, anyone in California who is homeschooling without a teaching credential is subject to prosecution for truancy violation, which could require community service, heavy fines and possibly removal of their children under allegations of educational neglect,” Dacus said.

Parents say they choose homeschooling for a variety of reasons, from religious beliefs to disillusionment with the local public schools.

Homeschooling parent Debbie Schwarzer of Los Altos said she’s ready for a fight.

Schwarzer runs Oak Hill Academy out of her Santa Clara County home. It is a state-registered private school with two students, she said, noting they are her own children, ages 10 and 12. She does not have a teaching credential, but she does have a law degree.

“I’m kind of hoping some truancy officer shows up on my doorstep,” she said. “I’m ready. I have damn good arguments.”

She opted to teach her children at home to better meet their needs.

The ruling, Schwarzer said, “stinks.”

Began as child welfare case

The Long family legal battle didn’t start out as a test case on the validity of homeschooling. It was a child welfare case.

A juvenile court judge looking into one child’s complaint of mistreatment by Philip Long found that the children were being poorly educated but refused to order two of the children, ages 7 and 9, to be enrolled in a full-time school. He said parents in California have a right to educate their children at home.

The appeals court told the juvenile court judge to require the parents to comply with the law by enrolling their children in a school, but excluded the Sunland Christian School from enrolling the children because that institution “was willing to participate in the deprivation of the children’s right to a legal education.”

The decision could also affect other kinds of homeschooled children, including those enrolled in independent study or distance learning through public charter schools – a setup similar to the one the Longs have, Dacus said.

Charter school advocates disagreed, saying Thursday that charter schools are public and are required to employ only credentialed teachers to supervise students – whether in class or through independent study.

Ruling will apply statewide

Michael Smith, president of the Home School Legal Defense Association, said the ruling would effectively ban homeschooling in the state.

“California is now on the path to being the only state to deny the vast majority of homeschooling parents their fundamental right to teach their own children at home,” he said in a statement.

But Leslie Heimov, executive director of the Children’s Law Center of Los Angeles, which represented the Longs’ two children in the case, said the ruling did not change the law.

“They just affirmed that the current California law, which has been unchanged since the last time it was ruled on in the 1950s, is that children have to be educated in a public school, an accredited private school, or with an accredited tutor,” she said. “If they want to send them to a private Christian school, they can, but they have to actually go to the school and be taught by teachers.”

Heimov said her organization’s chief concern was not the quality of the children’s education, but their “being in a place daily where they would be observed by people who had a duty to ensure their ongoing safety.”
