What if the 9/11 Whistle-Blowers are Speaking the Truth?

Duty to Warn

By Gary G. Kohls, MD

“Yes, all whistleblowers are taking their chances when they try to ”save the world” from the powerful corporate exploiters and predators (and their paid, conflicted and/or obedient hangers-on) that are continuously thinking of ways to extract for themselves the planet’s resources – even if it means that they have to go so far as to start wars to do so. In the exploitive process these often sociopathic entities seem to have no qualms about creating war refugees (in essence, cannibalizing humanity) or creating climate change refugees if those acts are necessary for them to gain control over the intended victim’s resources.”

The day after 9-11-2017, the 16th anniversary of 9/11/01, I received an email message about my last Duty to Warn column concerning the Crime and Cover-up of 9/11/01 that he had just read the day before. The message simply said:

“Gary, if what you and Dr Fetzer say is true, aren’t you afraid of being ‘taken out’?

I’d like to see a list of important 9/11 people that have been silenced.”

As has always happened on every one of the past fifteen 9/11 anniversary dates, the talking heads of every major media outlet were obediently repeating the long-disproved myths about “the attacks on 9/11”. The blinded and solemn talking heads were dutifully mouthing officialdom’s pronouncements about the 3,000 innocents that were killed by those “attacks” on the Twin Towers.

Of course, there are increasingly large numbers around the world that have seen the evidence disproving the absurd conspiracy theories of the Cheney/Bush White House and they have seen through the propaganda that has kept the mythology alive. These folks now understand that without the explosive demolitions of the Twin Towers, none of the 300+ NYFD firefighters would have died and the vast majority of the other two thousand plus victims that weren’t killed initially by the two fireballs and the subsequent brief fires also would not have died. Most of those that died on 9/11/01 were killed by the demolitions and not because of any theoretical Muslim hi-jackers from Saudi Arabia.

On 9/11/17, I received this email: More

Duty to Warn

Squandering the Planet’s Increasingly Scarce Fossil Fuels for our Amusement

The Big Oil cartels have, for decades, been poisoning the Gulf of Mexico, the Persian Gulf and many other oceans and ocean floors with uncounted millions of gallons of toxic crude oil via their risky, and very leaky deep water oil wells. It wasn’t just the crime against the planet that British Petroleum and Dick Cheney’s Halliburton perpetrated in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010. There are many other entities that have contributed to the mortal wounding of the Gulf, including the US military.

A prime example of the damage done to the Gulf by corporate entities includes the Mississippi River delta’s massive dead zone that has been enlarging rapidly for decades, thanks to the many shoreline polluters that have been allowing industrial waste, herbicides, insecticides, fertilizers and other toxins to flow downstream from such so-called “environmentally friendly” states like Minnesota and its Big Chemical and Big Agribusiness-mesmerized farmers.

There are hundreds of dead zones at the mouths of many of the world’s major rivers, but much of the pollution that caused the huge dead zone at the Mississippi’s mouth started in Upper Midwest farmlands, especially the corporate mega-farms. (See www.geoengineeringwatch.com for more details.)

Carcinogenic corporate waste products that are dumped directly into the river or otherwise seep into the ground water are known to sicken and then kill living creatures downstream. As I was growing up, I fished in the Minnesota River and I witnessed the beginnings of the mortal wounding of that river because of massive corporate farm chemical runoff.  The Minnesota went from swim-able and fish-able to muddy, smelly, toxic and relatively fishless during the years in which I was coming of age. Why Many Bernie Supporters Will Soon be Abandoning the Democratic Party (And Why Their Super-Delegates Will Some Day Regret Sabotaging His Candidacy)

Duty to Warn

“I would warn Orlando that you’re right in the way of some serious hurricanes, and I don’t think I’d be waving those (rainbow) flags in God’s face if I were you. …this will bring about the destruction of your nation. It’ll bring about terrorist bombs; it’ll bring earthquakes, tornadoes and possibly a meteor.” — Rev Pat Robertson, Christian Fundamentalist tele-evangelist, predicting – and perhaps inciting – violence against the LGBT community in Orlando, Florida. The homophobic Robertson was critical of LGBT organizers who were putting up rainbow flags around the city in celebration of the city’s stance on diversity issues. (Quote from The Washington Post, 06-10-98)

The 2016 Democratic primaries have been frustrating for many progressives who have had their political juices awakened and energized by the nonviolent political revolution of Bernie Sanders, his New Deal/Fair Deal politics, his democratic socialist candidacy and his support of oppressed and discriminated-against minorities (including Latinos, African-Americans, Native Americans, Palestinians, Muslims and the LGBT community, among others).

But the Democratic Party, once the mortal enemy of fascism, governmental rule by wealthy elites and fraudulent elections, has sabotaged, through any number of backroom deals (and with the willing help of the corporate-controlled media), Sanders’ highly respected, altruistic candidacy. The Democratic national leadership has unfairly denied him the well-deserved candidacy of the party. Because of the intransigence of their pro-Wall Street, pro-War Street, wealthy insiders in the party hierarchy, they will soon regret what they have done as much as the GOP will soon be regretting the choice of the xenophobic, paranoid, narcissistic megalomaniac Donald Trump as their party’s leader.

Both political parties have had their agendas shaped by corporate and militaristic billionaire plutocrats and Wall Street tycoons who have purchased large numbers of mercenary lobbyists, lawyers and federal and Supreme Court judges and also the loyalties of the vast majorities of elected legislators (both at the state and national levels) via massive amounts of campaign cash.  The classic truism of “whoever pays the piper, calls the tune” still holds in 2016. Enbridge Energy’s 2010 Kalamazoo River Pipeline Spill: The Worst and Most Expensive Pipeline Disaster in the History of America

Duty to Warn

“This investigation identified a complete breakdown of safety at Enbridge. Their employees performed like Keystone Kops and failed to recognize that their pipeline had ruptured and continued to pump crude into the environment. Despite multiple alarms and a loss of pressure in the pipeline, for more than 17 hours and through three shifts, they failed to follow their own shutdown procedures. Enbridge restarted the pipeline twice in that 17-hour period, pumping oil that would account for 81 percent of the total spill.” — National Transportation Safety Board Chairman Deborah Hersman (http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2012-07-24/-keystone-kops-bungling-led-to-costliest-u-s-pipeline-spill)

__________________________________________________________________________________________

On July 25, 2010 Enbridge Energy’s Alberta tar sands pipeline burst near Marshall, Michigan, spilling an estimated 1.1 million gallons of toxic heavy crude oil (including various petroleum-based diluents) into the Kalamazoo River. (Note that, in order to easily flow through an oil pipeline, the extra-heavy sludgy oil peculiar to the Canadian tar sands needs to be diluted with a 25% – 50% mixture of dangerous petroleum solvents, including the known carcinogen, benzene).

As soon as Enbridge workers in Hazmat suits arrived on the scene the first day of the catastrophe, they tested for benzene fumes and other toxic volatile organic substances and ordered nearby residents to evacuate immediately. Some of the affected residents never came back to their homes for 60 days.

Enbridge’s Kalamazoo disaster was North America’s worst and most expensive inland oil spill disaster. To my knowledge, it was never reported in the Duluth News-Tribune or on the local nightly news. Nobody that I know ever saw or heard a single report about it on local or regional television or radio news. Sadly, the same could be said about most of the other environmental disasters mentioned below that involved corporations that have a presence in the upper Midwest.

The Enbridge pipeline that ruptured in Michigan delivered dirty tar sands oil from Ontario. That pipeline crossed northern Minnesota, (and both the Mississippi and St Louis Rivers); crossed the entire state of Wisconsin; and ended up at a terminal in Indiana.

Tragically for the Kalamazoo River and every fish and minnow and crawfish in it, a six-foot break in the pipeline sent hours of high pressure toxic petroleum products into the Tallmadge Creek, a tributary of the Lake Michigan-bound Kalamazoo River. The broken pipe polluted a 35 mile segment of the river, and the damage will likely be permanent.

Oil and Heavy Metal Pollution of Water and Soil is Forever

It is important to emphasize that the pollution of any water or soil resource from significant amounts of chemicals, especially oil and toxic metals, whether the resource is an aquifer, a river, a bog, a wild rice bed or a lake, CAN NEVER BE FULLY REMEDIATED, despite what is said in the propaganda campaigns that are cunningly generated from the guilty mining, energy or petroleum companies whose flawed technology is responsible.

Petroleum products and heavy metals are both capable of floating on, mixing with or sinking beneath the water (thus flowing far beyond the mouth of the stream, attaching to the shoreline and/or sinking into the sludge at the bottom.

“Clean-up” of an oil spill is thus a myth. “Clean-ups” can never completely suck out or dredge up or de-contaminate all the pollutants no matter what method is tried.

To make things worse, the co-opted mainstream media can be counted on to simply (and very lazily) repeat the propaganda that comes from Big Oil, Big Mining, Big Coal or Big Energy when their spokespersons hold the reassuring press conferences that follow every “accidental” spill. Corporations have their duty to their advertisers, investors and stock market analysts to not unduly stir up a lack of confidence in the stock price.

Mining “Accidents” are Inevitable and They Could Happen Here

The inevitable “accidents-just-waiting-to-happen” scenario applies to some well-known examples like the Exxon Valdez disaster, the British Petroleum/Deepwater Horizon disaster in the Gulf of Mexico, Enbridge’s Kalamazoo River disaster, and some of the mining industry tailings ponds “breaches” that occur so frequently or just slowly leak toxins forever. Warnings for Patients Taking Psych Drugs (also for their families and prescribing practitioners)

Over the years, I have formally taught my patients (as well as many participants in my lectures and seminars) about the un-advertised dangers of psychiatric medications – especially the long-term brain alterations and drug-dependencies that drug companies don’t test for before the FDA grants them marketing approval.

Since my retirement from my holistic, non-drug, mental healthcare practice, I have continued to issue written warnings about the multitude of serious, sometimes even lethal, albeit unintended (and untested for), adverse consequences of taking psychiatric drugs, especially over the long-term.

My warnings have usually been directed at my fellow healthcare practitioners, nurses, social workers, clergypersons, journalists, legislators, various industry groups, and the public in general, but there seems to have been no audible response from most of them concerning the dangers to the very people that these professions are supposed to be caring for.

The information that I have relied on to treat my (subtly or overtly) drug-intoxicated patients came from many sources. Among those sources were 1) various peer-reviewed (albeit obscure) neuroscience journals, 2) whistle-blowing (and therefore often ostracized) psychiatrists, physicians, neuroscientists and medical journalists, and 3) my own extensive research into the basic neuroscience literature (which I had never had time to read as a busy family practitioner – barely having time to read the drug-industry-approved and subsidized mainstream medical journals).

In my Duty to Warn columns, I have often written about my concerns for the victims of brain-altering drugs, who, in my professional experience, had become dependent on (addicted to) any number of neurotoxic and psychotoxic drugs that Big Pharma had falsely assured me were not addictive.

Ignoring the essential reality about drug dependency and toxicity has caused many psychiatric patients (and their prescribing practitioners) to miss the fact that when the patients ran out of their meds or attempted to quit the drugs that were sickening them, they often became ill with entirely new symptoms that were the reasons for starting the drugs. (Quitting a psych drug can be as medically hazardous as starting one.)

The withdrawal symptoms that my patients experienced were always different from the symptoms that prompted the initial prescriptions, and they had been uniformly mis-diagnosed as a “recurrence” of the so-called “mental illness”, and therefore the offending drugs had usually been restarted, usually at higher doses, often with additional new drugs being added to counteract the new withdrawal symptoms.

I have also tried to alert the public, especially the media, about the epidemic of mass shootings that have been perpetrated by shooters whose brains, cognition and behaviors had been altered by psychiatric drugs. The mainstream media, not wanting to implicate the drug companies that advertise with them, prefer to demonize the folks that had been made “mentally ill” by the toxic culture rather than to the toxic drugs that can cause normal stressed-out, sleep-deprived and brain-malnourished folks, including the scores of male adolescent school shooters, to act like they are mentally ill.

Nevertheless, even medical journalists, especially those writing for major media outlets, have refused to even hint at (or been forbidden to write about by their editors or publishers) the strong connections between psychiatric drug intoxication and the epidemic of mass murder/suicide that continue to (intentionally?) confuse everybody. And so the shootings continue and the drug-marketers, drug-prescribers and other drug-profiteers continue risking the public health; and they continue getting off scot-free, never being charged as accomplices to the crimes. Just witness the pathetic failure of the defense attorneys for the Zoloft-intoxicated (150 mg per day!!) and Klonopin-intoxicated Batman Shooter from mounting a logical defense that could easily have convinced any intelligent jury to declare James Holmes of being “guilty” but temporarily insane because of his psychiatric drug-intoxication.

“Union Carbide’s corporate executives have been subpoenaed to appear in Indian courts for their crimes. But the US has not honored the extradition treaties it has with India. These executives have repeatedly refused to appear and are therefore in contempt of court. There are warrants out for their arrests in India, just as there are warrants out for the arrest of citizen Henry Kissinger for his part in international war crimes in Chile, East Timor, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, etc. All remain at large, harbored by America’s big Business-friendly, corporate-controlled nation.”

“Slavery is the legal fiction that a person is property. Corporate personhood is the legal fiction that property is a person.” — Anonymous

The infamous NeoConservative, anti-democratic Roberts’ Supreme Court 5/4 decision in the 2010 Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission ruling (granting personhood to corporations) has emboldened the already powerful and very corruptible multinational corporations (that have already achieved dominion over politics and the economy in the United States) to “buy” any number of politicians and brain-wash many voters in many state and national elections.. The US Supreme Court has made legal the absurd notion that inanimate corporations deserve the same rights (but not the same responsibilities) as living humans.

Soberingly, after the ruling came down, there was only a brief bit of anger and outrage from our national leadership over this democracy-threatening decision, and the outrage was quickly drowned out of the public consciousness by a well-timed, mainstream media-orchestrated “tempest in a teapot” – Toyota’s recall of tens of thousands of accelerator pedals (that apparently had only infrequently been the cause of significant accidents).

The following question must be asked:

If corporations have the privileges of personhood shouldn’t they also bear the same responsibilities and incur the same punishments as individuals do when they commit crimes?

Peace and justice activists briefly applauded when the citizens of Shapleigh, Maine protected their water rights last March from the insatiable water-extracting corporate giant Nestle. (See video and more information on this episode at: (http://www.afterdowningstreet.org/node/40335). More
