Maybe like some of you, I have gotten to know myself better over the past several months. I have always considered myself anything but conservative. “Beyond liberal,” I have said when describing my basic orientation:  meaning liberal, only more so compared to the range of holes provided on a standard belt. Sort of a lone sentinel, out there when it came to equality, fairness, generosity, universal enablement, foolhardiness or moxie.

But then, people (the media, mostly) started referring to arch-globalist and militarist, mealy-mouthed, wicked old grandmotherly chiseler Hillary Clinton and her wacko, selectively-hateful, spoiled followers as “liberals”, and my idealist vocabulary started to curdle, fast. Because, all these schmucks the media calls “liberals” and even “leftists” are about as liberal as a toad. Liberalism is not boneheaded borderless-ness. Nor is it defamation and shrieking “treason” through your tears and trashing the Constitution’s election ground rules agreed on by all at the start because you didn’t win the race. More

Planning our demise as a nation?

Many of us are aware of the planning that has gone into our demise as a nation. Never have the efforts to keep us divided, to keep us in the mind set that we are opposed to our neighbors and friends, even our families, as this video entitled:

“If I wanted America to Fail”

Tracking this video across the web I see that it has been picked up alternately by both liberal and conservative sites, with each claiming the points made in it, are insidious plans by the other.  I have news for you……what the man in this video speaks about was committed or condoned by liars and thieves, both liberals and conservatives alike.

Anyone who is still deluding them selves into thinking that outside the District of Criminals, their political, philosophical or religious beliefs mean anything, needs to re-assess their thinking.  The left/right paradigm is a fiction.  It only works as some kind of reality when you give it life by claiming you are on one side or the other.  Still, it remains a useful fiction used to deceive and to manipulate you.

As long as you can be manipulated into thinking that you are fighting your neighbor, or maybe another religion, or possibly political ideals, and that unless you become aggressive, vicious, malicious or otherwise threatening, these supposed enemies will “win”.  What they will actually win we are not sure of…..we just know they will win and somehow we will be cheated out of something we wanted, or thought we deserved.  It might be that our version of God will lose and their version of God (which we like to believe is Satan) will win (they think your version of God is Satan too).

Why the Elephant died…hopefully the end of the Republican party

Why the Elephant died

   160_cp_signs_0708191

I am writing you to announce the coming wake for the former Republican Party.  No flowers, please.  Most knew the end was coming, although some stubbornly clung on to the cesspool of viciousness, greed, contempt and unsavory characters that had come to characterize and symbolize, not the best in America, but the worst.  But, thankfully we are moving forward, leaving behind the worst president ever in our history and with him, the most anti-American political faction ever to have soiled the White House and our government.

There were thirty Republicans who did not seek re-election.  I have this theory that when the rats are fleeing the sinking ship we need to watch to see where they are going.  In this case, we already know why; all the catastrophic damage done to the country since the corruption of the 2000 election and the subsequent manipulation of the 2004 election is about to come apart.  Heads are going to roll and many of those taking flight are exercising the fine art of C.Y.A.. (Covering you’re a–) is an art that has been finely honed by the neo-con, anti-American faction of the Republican party.

But, there are those in the wreckage of the Republican party who still don’t get it; those who are today wondering why the wedge issues didn’t work, why the sickening and disgusting emails containing misleading or outright false information about Republican opponents didn’t scare everyone into voting the [right] way, according to the party line.  And of course, there are the hate radio personalities, the faux news personalities and other social outcasts who found their niche in this swamp of radical ideology that was the antithesis of America.  For those of you still clinging to this rotting corpse, don’t worry.  Anne Coulter (or is it Andy?) has written yet another of her/his baseless, pointless and stupid books that will be purchased in bulk by her/his rich friends to make it appear to be a best-seller.  (You’ll never actually meet anyone who has read even one of them)

The unspoken truth about why McCain didn’t succeed is this:   We are tired of being terrorized by our own government.  What we heard from the Republican campaign was four more years of Bush & Co.  Four more years of corruption of government, the constitution, our civil liberties, and four more years of created crisis’s to enable pre-planned end results, none of which benefited anyone but a few at the top while the rest of the country sunk further into recession.  But, ultimately, we are damned tired of having to fear our own government.

Palin, who was selected first because she was a woman, and second because she was attractive, was thought to be the end all, be all for the ticket.  She was supposed to be the ringer, the one who brought home the victory.  With their usual arrogance, the Republican party just assumed that all she had to do was to show up.  Unfortunately for them, even Republican voters could see this woman was not prepared, much less qualified, to hold the office of Vice President, and surely not a viable replacement for McCain should there be a need for her to step in.  The problems with Palin as a candidate are just too numerous to go into here.

In the end, it seems all the emails meant to degrade and humiliate Obama, calling him the anti-Christ, claiming he is a communist, a socialist a fascist….the emails highlighting his middle name Hussein, questioning his birth place, questioning his patriotism, all of the rancid and disgusting writings suggesting all sorts of sordid things speaks volumes about the demise of what was once a respectable party.  These circulating emails could only have appealed to the most uneducated and gullible in our population, and, these things highlighted the gross lack of integrity, of character, of morals by a party that tried to portray itself as being the epitome of these things and the party of “God”.  It is obvious the veil has lifted and America sees this party for the roiling mass of ugliness that it is.

I don’t know what’s ahead in an Obama administration.  What I do know is that I don’t have the sense of dread, of hopelessness I would have had, had McCain won.  The other thing I know is that I am, it seems, very conservative…..but I can’t be a part of the Republican party.   Considering the number of people who abandoned the Republican party in this election, many feel the same way.

The days of hate filled campaigns, filled with innuendo, mud-slinging, negative attack ads and vilifying and at times utterly destroying a person whose only sin was to run against you for the same office, are over.  The American people are tired of it, and quite frankly, we deserve more than misleading information or fear mongering.  And many of us are tired of the party of the elephant which has come to signify greed, corruption, secrecy and a total lack of morals or values.

May the elephant rest in peace…..somewhere else.

The GOP Eats Its Young….AGAIN

I just received a copy of “The Minnesota Concervative Delegate Team” sent to all those “true Republicans”.  (All three of them?)

It’s as if the propaganda emails highlighting Obama’s middle name (Hussein) weren’t stupid enough; as if the emails citing tax tables in a Clinton vs. Bush administration ploy…..that carefully omitted the alternative tax Bush loves so much that will eat up 55% of household incomes by 2010, but only for working class Americans. (By the way…..Clinton has been gone for 7 years now..get over it)

As if the conservative vs. liberal letters that supposedly compare the “values” and “morality” of true conservatives versus those godless liberals, didn’t ignore the hypocrisy of the right, didn’t leave one with the sense that someone had either not listened to the news or suffered from severe selective hearing, I just don’t think there is any hope for the Republican party at all.

I believe if we are going to fear someone because of what their parents named them, we should be in total fear of anyone named George…or Dick just for starters.  Heck! I think we should ban everyone with the last name of Bush, from the country.

This latest letter from the Minnesota Conservative Delegate Team is another of those cases of the GOP eating its young or maybe swallowing its own tale.  Apparently ired by the refusal of Ron Paul supporters to go away like good GOP’ers, the MCDT has taken it upon itself to stifle support within the party for a candidate that is getting support from all quarters.  Now, you would think that Ron Paul’s adherence to the Constitution, to principle, to the laws and his opposition to NAFTA, CAFTA and other illegal trade agreements would have made him a star in the Republican party.  Its apparent that the core of the party has become so corrupted they can no longer identify a true conservative, patriotic, and honest candidate even when he is in their own ranks.  Makes me wonder when the self identified “leaders” of the Republican party will come out and admit that they are neo-conservatives (meaning not conservatives at all) and that the corruption is so ingrained, such a political aphrodisiac they are beside themselves wondering why the sheeple in the party refuse to follow their lead.

(quote) “Whatever success Paul supporters have had in Minnesota Conventions has largely been the result of the failure of mainstream conservative Republicans to unite behind a qualified team of party leaders”.  (So anyone who doesn’t do what you tell them to do is not maintstream?)

And in closing this letter against opposing such an unpopular candidate as McCain:  “The civil war that is ripping the Democratic party apart does not need to occur within our party; we have our nominee.  John McCain” (end quote)

Just for the record, that “civil war” referred to in the Democratic party is called campaigning for office.  Its the battle that should take place if you really do believe in democracy and fair and open elections.  Its apparent that Republicans do not.  We have only to look at the election fraud of the 2000 and 2004. Elections that saw caging, hacked voting machines, corrupt secretaries of states, purged votes, shredded votes, disenfranchized voters, and the interference in a national election by a corrupt, Republican dominated Supreme Court.  Ah! To be a Republican!

Everytime I receive another of these letters, another of these carefully crafted efforts to tell conservatives who they are going to vote for, rather than finding out whom they wish to vote for, I would laugh except it isn’t really funny.

I want to know who decided that we were so stupid, so gullible that sending out flame emails that contain absolutely stupid information or that requires us to lower our level of intelligence in order to accept what the GOP wants rather than making our own choices…..who are these people?  And why do we pay any attention to them at all?

The Republican party may suffer a split (I believe it already has) but not because Ron Paul supporters won’t go away.  The split will occur because it is so apparent that the party of manipulation and control, the party that proclaimed its own virtuosity, its own high morals, its own self righteous piety, has been exposed.  And what has been laid bare for all to see is that rather than the party of morality, patriotism and freedom, and all the other adjectives right wingers like to use to discibe themselves while they preen, is nothing more than a private club of self promoting individuals who believe they can and should call the shots.

What is glaringly apparent is that selecting the best candidate for the preservation of the country is not the issue; simply having a Republican candidate they selected before hand whom they are assured will continue the wars and the destruction of our soveriegn nation is more important than any silly old thing like the constitution and the law.

Personally, I wish the neo-con faction would just split away and form its own party (it is one anyway) and leave the rest of us alone.  And please!  No more idiotic emails with bogus messages in them.  Forwarding these electronic pieces of crap make us all look as if we have little character and even less integrity.  What scares me is the people who forward them and actually think they are worth anything other than a quick delete.

I will not be voting for McCain…..the worst possible choice, followed closely by both Democrats.  Just for the record I will be voting for Ron Paul even if I have to write his name in on the ballot.  I don’t believe party leaders are any more qualified to determine who I vote for than I am.  Either way…..I decide who gets my vote…….not the GOP.

The Right to Keep and Bear Arms

As a person who tends to lean more to the left on most issues, I have to draw the line in the sand when it comes to the 2nd Amendment to our Bill of Rights. This one amendment, more than any other signifies our freedom. This is the marker that separates us from other countries and societies. We have the freedom and the right to keep and bear arms. We have the right to defend ourselves…..even from our own government.

The repeated calls for repealing the 2nd Amendment, or efforts to diminish its intent, usually come after yet another disturbing incident that was allowed to go totally out of control, and then incessantly broadcast by what is supposed to be our news sources until we reach a point of saturation. This is quickly followed by calls for disarming American’s.

Let’s make one thing perfectly clear here; If someone is intent on killing you or several of you, not having a gun will not stop them. People are poisoned, stabbed, strangled, beaten to death, set on fire and die from multiple causes inflicted by another individual every day of the week. This is not because American’s have the right to own guns.

I find it odd that more people die each year from drunk drivers than from gun incidents. Yet no one calls for another prohibition. There are no passionate pleas to ban alcohol; no diatribes on how alcohol consumption is killing innocent people. Besides, this might infringe on YOUR rights.

The right to keep and bear arms is not the cause of rampage killings. It’s the individual who decided to kill other human beings who is the cause. A gun can kill no one until an individual picks it up and uses it. Just like knives can’t stab anyone unless someone picks them up and uses them as a weapon. In a fatal car crash resulting from drunk driving……who or what is at fault; the vehicle or the driver?

The flaw in all the arguments for banning private gun ownership is that somehow by taking away this right, everything will be just peachy. It won’t be. The same individuals who are intent on inflicting injury or death to others will simply find some other means of getting the job done. People are the real threat……not the weapons they choose. Taking away the right to own guns does not and will not reduce that threat.

When the Bill of Rights was assembled, the second most important issue to the founders was this right to keep and bear arms. Of all the other rights enumerated, this was paramount in establishing a free society. They also knew that it is only when government has worked secretly against its own people they become afraid of them and seek to disarm them.

The 2nd Amendment is the lynch pin of our freedom. As a nation we identify ourselves as free people by virtue of the fact that we can keep and bear arms if we choose to. And it is exactly this reason that so many want to see it repealed. The loss of this right would be psychologically devastating as so many would see it for what it is…..the true end of our freedom.

Right now the major source for attacks on the 2nd Amendment, are being directed through the United Nations. Yesterday, Senator Obama put a bill on the floor of the senate called the Global Poverty Act. This act would mandate not only a 7% tax on our GDP, but also calls for the banning of small arms. Small arms and weapons includes, hunting rifles and shotguns, not just handguns.

Attacks on the 2nd Amendment have come from all quarters. The efforts to paint it as “all liberals want to ban guns, and all conservatives don’t” is just more staging. The fact is, our government wants us disarmed; its just that no one wants to be seen as the perpetrator of this unconstitutional infringement on our rights.

Using the UN to implement the disarming of America also makes us vulnerable to international law as opposed to our own sovereign laws. International law does not recognize the right of the individual to defend himself, claiming that to do so is a crime in its self.

The UN also claims that this ban is necessary to protect women and children, and those who wish to commit suicide. This would be the same UN that sits by idly while hundreds of thousands die as a result of genocide. Where are there concerns about women and children and the suicidal then?

The real aim of the Global Poverty Act and its intent to disarm America is to make sure that we have no way to fight back. And as Americans, we most likely would.

For those who disagree with this, don’t worry about it. Once the North American Union is established we won’t have any rights at all, much less the 2nd Amendment. One of the first things that will be done after the merger is complete is to abolish the bill of rights and then to disarm the public….. leaving you completely at the mercy of the military and local law enforcement.
