Researchers with Genetically Modified CornWorldwide sentiment is shifting against Monsanto and GMO food crops. And China is making major moves.

At sustainablepulse.com, we have this May 14, 2014, article: “Chinese Army Bans All GMO Grains and Oil from Supply Stations”:

“The Chinese army has ordered all military supply stations to only allow the purchase of non-GMO grain and food oil due to health safety concerns over GMOs.

“This move by the Chinese army is being seen as yet another step towards the Chinese government’s expected ban on the import of all GMO grains and oilseeds within the next 2 years, due to growing public concern over GMOs. The expected ban would be a huge blow to the Biotech industry worldwide.

“The Hubei Province Xiangyang City Grain Bureau’s website announced on May 6, 2014:

“‘During recent years, as China’s grain and oil market has continuously developed, certain GMO grain and GMO food oil products have entered the market. In view that the safety concerns about GMO grain and oil products in China at present has not yet been determined, in order to overall assure the health of military members residing in our city and safety of their drinks and food, in accordance to the request from the Guangzhou Military Command Joint Logistics Department and the Provincial Military Grain & Food Oil Supply Center, from this date all military supply stations are allowed to only purchase non-GMO grain and food oil products from the designated processing enterprises. It is forbidden to supply GMO grain and food oil products to military units within their administration areas.  More

New Zealand gets a pass on dairy testing for growth hormones: It isn’t necessary?

Almost as a portend of what is to come should the attempts to pass S510 succeed, New Zealand AG is spared any testing for growth hormones in milk…..because they have strict laws concerning the use of hormones in milking cows.  That’s really nice, but th ebulk of their milk products come from Fonterra, a Canadian based corporation who supplies dried milk products to NewZealand……so it would appear that the milk cows and subsequent laws governing them, are of no consequence.

Fonterra, which sells dried milk powder to China under the brand name Synutra, denies there is any link between their product, growth hormones and the developement of breasts in infants fed these products.  China sells the milk product to New Zealand.

See how easy that all is?  Fonterra says there is no threat; China says its product is not at fault and  New Zealand says their milk cows don’t need to be tested, and babies are sprouting boobies all over the place.  A cosmic mystery for sure!  Marti_____________________________________

Synutra defends products in light of hormone scare

By Guy Montague-Jones, 13-Aug-2010

Chinese dairy Synutra International has affirmed its belief that its products are safe and in no way linked to recent allegations of premature breast development in infant girls.

Media reports earlier in the week said that medical tests had found excessive levels of hormones in three young girls who had allegedly consumed milk powder made by Synutra. Parents of the children and doctors in the Hebei province had expressed concern that the products caused the girls, aged four- to 15 months, to prematurely develop breasts.

Defense

Synutra has now responded to these allegations. In a statement, Liang Zhang, chairman and CEO of Synutra, said: “We are seeing many industry experts speak out about the lack of scientific evidence between infant formula and these claims. More

S. 3134 The Currency Exchange Rate Oversight Reform Act of 2010

S. 3134 The Currency Exchange Rate Oversight Reform Act of 2010

The Coalition for a Prosperous America welcomes the introduction of S. 3134 – The Currency Exchange Rate Oversight Reform Act of 2010 – by Senators Schumer, Stabenow and Graham.  This bill has many good elements, and CPA looks forward to improving it.

Currency manipulation by several countries, including but not limited to China, is causing persistent trade deficits.  It is not the only cause of our trade problems, but it is a substantial one.  Free trade cannot exist when currencies are manipulated.   More

WRITTEN TESTIMONY OF

COALITION FOR A PROSPEROUS AMERICA

BEFORE THE UNITED STATES HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

COMMITTEE ON WAYS AND MEANS

HEARING ON THE EXCHANGE RATE POLICY OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE PEOPLE?S REPUBLIC OF CHINA, AND ITS IMPACT ON THE U. S. AND GLOBAL ECONOMIES

HEARING DATE MARCH 24, 2010

Thank you Chairman Levin, and members of the House Committee on Ways and Means, for allowing the Coalition for a Prosperous America to present this written testimony to you.  We respectfully request that this written testimony be accepted into the written record for this hearing.

SUMMARY OF TESTIMONY:

The Coalition for a Prosperous America, and its members, support neutralizing the persistent undervaluation of the Chinese renminbi through countervailing duties and/or anti-dumping duties.  This can best be accomplished through passage of the Currency Reform for Fair Trade Act of 2009 (H.R. 2378).  There is wide agreement that China persistently undervalues its currency and that the impact is a mercantilist one, not a free-trade result.  The quantity of undervaluation is anywhere from 25 to 50 percent, a range that is agreed upon widely.  This currency manipulation has in large part been an underlying cause of the Great Recession.

The volume of manufacturing and jobs off shored because of this unfair trade tactic has been devastating.  As Treasury Secretary Geithner has argued, we cannot grow GDP without correcting this problem.  Diplomacy and negotiation have been tried for several years, reached the upper levels with President Obama’s November 2009 visit to China, and failed.  Enforcement of international norms, which disallow such undervaluation, is necessary.  The U.S. House should pass the Currency Reform for Fair Trade Act for 2009 (HR 2378) to neutralize this currency advantage and return to free and fair trade.  Passage of HR 2378 is the most significant jobs creation and economic growth action that this body can take.

The battle against NAIS rages on!

“Now recently comes this program called National Animal Identification System (NAIS). Born of greed for more profits from big businesses and crammed down the unsuspecting throat of every person who owns one livestock animal, even one chicken, one horse or one goat, NAIS would subject millions of farmers and ranchers and tens of thousands of veterans to the biggest intrusion of privacy and violation of private property rights in the history of mankind. By forcing every veteran who owns even one animal to register their premises and report every movement of every animal they own to the government within 24 hours, NAIS would subject veterans who raise even a backyard flock of chickens to more government surveillance than illegal aliens, terrorists, and child molesters. If you support our veterans, you should be outraged.”

Staged hearings are happening again today in the House.  Dr. Acheson from the FDA revealed that he has requested 440 new personnel to conduct enforcement.  So if I understand this correctly…….there will be no effort to penalize China for sending us contaminated food, medicine and products: no attempt to halt importation of cattle from Mexico infected with bovine tuberculosis……no attempts to reign in unsanitary industrialized processors who cause 95% of all food borne illnesses because of the filthy conditions in their facilities……..instead the FDA wants to expand its dysfunctional agency and send 440 more people out to terrorize and harrass family farmers and ranchers.

Keep in mind that 50 % of all money spent by the federal government goes to enforcing police state regulations in every industry.

Govt gives China Eminent Domain options to guarantee debt.

Govt gives China Eminent Domain options to guarantee debt.

Beijing, China — The United States of America has tendered to China a written agreement which grants to the People’s Republic of China, an option to exercise Eminent Domain within the USA, as collateral for China’s continued purchase of US Treasury Notes and existing US Currency reserves!

On February 11, Bloomberg Business News reported that China was seeking “guarantees” for its US Government debt (Story Here), and it now appears they got it. Well placed senior sources at the US Embassy in Beijing CONFIRM the formal written agreement was delivered by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during her recent trip to China.

This means that in the event the US Government defaults on its financial obligations to China, the Communist Government of China would be permitted to physically take — inside the USA — land, buildings, factories, perhaps even entire cities – to satisfy the financial obligations of the US government.

Put simply, the feds have actually mortgaged the physical land and property of all citizens and businesses in the United States. They have given to a foreign power, their Constitutional power to “take” all of our property, as actual collateral for continued Chinese funding of US deficit spending and the continued carrying of US national debt.

This is an unimaginable betrayal of every man, woman and child in the USA. An outrage worthy of violent overthrow.

Eminent Domain is the power of government to TAKE private property for public use without the consent of the property owner. Under our Constitution, the government can only “take” when providing “just compensation” for what they’ve taken.

Who decides what constitutes “just compensation?” The government!

in past “takings” homeowners who felt the government was not paying them enough for property have filed lawsuits. In absolutely every such case, the value placed upon the property by the government was upheld by the courts.

Our federal government has now granted to China, this power to “take” our homes and businesses in the event the US Gov’t defaults on its debts.

Let’s play this out as a worst case scenario. . . . . .

The US Gov’t goes belly-up and China comes in and says, “they owed us $700 Billion in Treasury Notes and another $2 Trillion in actual cash money which is now worthless. We are taking the entire state of Hawaii and the entire state of California in lieu of this bad debt. ”

With the stroke of a Chinese chop stick, Hawaii and California — all the land and buildings in those states — are now owned by China.

The “taking” would be a “valid public use” because it was “taken” in payment of the public debt!!!!

China could then turn around and declare the value of all that land to be worth. . . . . I dunno, ten cents on a dollar?

If you own a $200,000 house in either state, you get a Chinese check for $20,000.

Needless to say, the property owners would go ballistic and demand “just compensation” for what was taken. Who gets to decide what is “just?” China!

Don’t think you got a fair price for what they took? No problem, sue China. You’ll lose.

People who live in those states and own their land outright, might be able to negotiate with China to “rent” back what used to be their own property, as long as they continue to pay all their taxes (to China) ; but the land and buildings would belong to China!

This is what our own Government has just done to us and it is the single most vile act of betrayal in the history of human existence.

State Governments Knew This Was Coming

In early February nine U.S. States began the process of re-asserting their Sovereignty pursuant to the Ninth and Tenth Amendments to the US Constitution; declaring null and void any actions by Congress that violated the Constitution.

At the time, I wrote about those state efforts (Here) and wondered why so many states were taking-up such an arcane issue in such a seemingly urgent fashion. I guess now, we know why.

The states were obviously privy to what the feds were planning to do with granting Eminent Domain to China. The states took action to make certain the feds couldn’t give away cities or the states themselves!

This situation is going to get VERY ugly, VERY fast as one sovereign power (the feds) tries to literally give away the land of other sovereign powers, (the states). This is the type of thing that starts Civil War.

Our present federal government makes the treachery and betrayal of Benedict Arnold look like child’s play.

Tainted food alert! Melamine may be in US food supply

http://www.brasschecktv.com/page/460.html

In China, ANYTHING made with Chinese-manufactured milk powder before September 14th was PULLED from their store shelves.

In the US, this garbage is still being sold!

Foods at risk: ANY food manufactured in China and potentially any food containing milk powder. US food manufacturers imported millions of pounds of milk powder from China before September 14th. The FDA continues to allow to be sold.

This includes chocolate, cookies, cakes, and even things like packaged macaroni and cheese.

Background

Mike Mozart is a product designer who also runs a video blog about new developments in the toy industry. His reviews are normally light, cheerful affairs and completely apolitical. If he appears distraught, it’s because he is. This is serious. Mozart has discovered that the US is the ONLY country that still permits potentially melamine-contaminated food on its shelves. Even China has removed these products from its stores.

That’s right. This poison that killed and injured thousands of people, mainly children, may be in US food. We’re the only country that hasn’t pulled it from its shelves.

Here’s what you need to know

1. Melamine was added to food products manufactured in China to simulate protein content. These food products were imported into the US by the ton.

2. Melamine itself is bad, but much worse – and not reported – is that melamine is an industrial product, not a food product and often comes contaminated with a wide range of dangerous industrial toxins.

There is no such thing as food grade melamine. None of it is suitable for food.

3. The widespread practice of adding melamine to powdered milk products has killed and seriously injured thousands of children in China.

Melamine injuries children by damaging their kidneys. There has already been a reported spike in kidney stones in American children.

Last year, when melamine was found in pet food sold in the US and traced to death in animals, it was headline news.

This news, potentially far more serious, is being censored.

4. The Chinese government knew this contaminated food was on the shelves killing children and said nothing so as not to put a damper on the “Olympic spirit.”

5. As much 20 MILLION POUNDS of food manufactured in China that contains milk powder was imported into the US this year. Also, it’s not clear how many US food manufacturers use milk powder manufactured in China in their products.

6. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) refuses to test for melamine contamination – or it is has, refuses to make the results of these tests available to the public.

Further, the FDA refuses to force food manufacturers to remove the contaminated food from its shelves, something they are completely capable of doing.

7. Why is this being done?

Mozart theorizes: a) to prevent a scandal before the election and b) to avoid further deterioration of the US stock market.

Are these motivations plausible?

Long-time Brasscheck TV viewers know that the FDA has demonstrated over and over again throughout its history that it is a political agency designed to protect well connected law breakers and has next-to-zero interest in the public welfare.

AVOID all food products manufactured in China and any product that contains milk powder that does not disclose its source. (Egg powder is also being identified as a potential source of this contamination.)

The direct YouTube link for this video is:

Please share this information with friends, family members and colleagues so they can make an informed decision about what they eat.

Knowing the parties involved – China, the FDA, the Bush administration, the US news media, and corporate America – you can be sure that none of them can be trusted to look out for your welfare.

Why this is so diabolical

Here are the indisuputable facts of this case:

1. Chinese manufacturers are known to have added melamine to powdered milk products including baby food.

2. Melamine is not a permitted food additive in any country. It is an industrial product and is often contaminated with other toxins.

It damages the kidneys and is particularly dangerous, even fatal, to small children and infants.

3. Every other country on earth – including China – has removed all products made with Chinese-manufactured milk powder from their stores.

4. The FDA and the Bush Administration has made the US the only country on earth to have opted to leave these potentially tainted products on store shelves.

5. The FDA and the Bush administration knows that millions of pounds of Chinese-manufactured milk powder was imported into the US in the last twelve months.

6. It knows exactly what companies imported this material and the food manufacturers that used it know exactly what batches of their products this material is in.

7. The FDA and the Bush Administration further knows that:

a) injury and death associated with consumption of products containing melamine will not take place immediately (except perhaps in the case of infants) and

b) it will be practically impossible for sufferers of this tainted food to attribute their injuries to specific products since weeks, months or even years might pass between ingestion and symptoms.

Summary: By leaving these food products on store shelves, the FDA and the Bush Administration know exactly the risk of harm to US consumers and are hoping because of the nature of the poisoning that they will be able get away with it and thus avoid the political consequences of a recall.

Tax Rebates..Stimulating Everyone’s economy but ours!

This was sent to us by several readers of the PPJ.  You could almost laugh if it wasn’t so true!

Your Tax Rebate:

The federal government is sending each and every one of us a
 $600 rebate..

If we spend that money at Wal-Mart, the money will go to China. (and Bentonville, AR)

If we spend it on gasoline it will go to the Arabs. (and Exxon/Mobil)

If we purchase a computer it will go to India. (and Bill Gates)

If we purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico ,
Honduras , and Guatemala. (Unless you shop local)

If we purchase a car it will go to Japan. (Unless you buy a Hyundai)

If we purchase useless crap it will go to Taiwan …and none of
it will help the American economy.

The only way to keep that money here at home is to buy
prostitutes, weed, beer, and tattoos, since these are the only
products still produced in the USA.

Thank you for your help & please support the US .
