Shelley Thomson is in a New Braunfels, Texas nursing home (Colonial Manor). She does not belong there and is desperate to be liberated.
Under the guise of guardianship, Texas Health and Human Services Commission took her computer, all her money and assets – and (HHSC) used her disability as an excuse to abduct her, steal her house, her cat, and move her into an abusive nursing home. Her guardian has threatened her with violence. Shelley is held prisoner with no right to leave her room, no visitors, and no exercise.
Shelley Thomson was labeled as incapacitated falsely and maliciously by the state of Texas. State guardianship fraud is a national scandal. Under the guise of protection, states target victims for their money, and treat them worse than prisoners. Shelley’s guardian has threatened her with violence and she has been drugged against her will.
If Shelley cannot pick her own psychiatrist, the court will assign their own, and they will choose the cheapest expert to rubber stamp a denial of capacity once again.

Mr. D, who reported on the abuses at a nursing home supposedly established to serve those of the Jewish faith, is facing charges for revealing publicly what is transpiring in these gulags for the aged. Mr. D is facing charges for making supposed “anti-semetic remarks” to a man who is Catholic. Mr. D is himself, Jewish. This has all the markings of a concocted excuse to target, intimidate and threaten him. This is so ludicrous that I cannot believe it is actually taking place, but it is.

Mia returns to talk about dementia, What are the signs? What can you do? Are dementia-like symptoms the result of psychotropic drugging meant to cause the victim to appear to be suffering from dementia, when actually they are not? We know these deadly drugs are widely used here in the US as chemical restraints, and produce dementia like symptoms. Apparently, Australia has followed suit.

Patrice Gilgan joins us this evening to expose the abuse and drugging of her father at the hands of doctors and nursing home workers in two different facilities in Orange County, California.
The first instance of abuse both physical and with drugs occurred at Irvine Cottage Board and Care where Gerald had been sent to recover from brain surgery. Gerald was drugged within 24 hours of admittance to the home with massive doses of Haldol,Seroqel and overdosed on morphine. There was no prescription for the morphine. Cottage Board and Care is operated by St Joseph Hospice, a Catholic enterprise.
At a second facility, Villa Valencia Skilled Nursing, (a St Michael Hospice and another Catholic owned enterprise), Gerald was given 7 different drugs. None of these drugs were to be used on brain injured or individuals suffering from dementia. When Gerald was finally freed from this facility and hospitalized again, it took more than two weeks for him to respond due to the massive drug overload in his system.

Ireland Dallas Gerald Gilgan was a retired New York City Fire Fighter. This man did not deserve this callous treatment. No one does. Yet it happens to the elderly every day here in the US

“Ginny complained to Theriault over and over. She emphasized that Seroquel is not approved for use in elderly patients, and Hugh was having severe adverse reactions. Theriault ignored Ginny’s complaints, just as she ignored Hugh’s welfare and his wishes.”

The National Association to Stop Guardian Abuse posted a memorial for war hero,
Hugh Johnson. NASGA honored Johnson’s service in World War II and recounted the horrors of being a German prisoner of war. The memorial also recounted the greater horrors of Johnson’s last months in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Horrors of war and POW camps did not prepare Hugh for the horrors of guardianship in Wake County, North Carolina. A healthy active man who still enjoyed golf at 95, Hugh deteriorated rapidly under Guardian Cheryl Theriault of Raleigh based Aging Family Services.
Aging Family Services’ cautions “the last thing you want is for them to end up in a nursing home.” Family never imagined the nightmare Theriault’s guardianship would bring.
Theriault immediately removed Hugh from his upscale home, isolated him from family, and chemically restrained him with the anti-psychotic drug Seroquel. Five months after being taken from home, Hugh was frail, bedridden, and incontinent. His legs and feet were covered with sores that would not heal.
Denied the personal care of a loving daughter, Hugh languished at The Covington. The facility advertises “truly affordable assisted living.” Our Parents website gives The Covington 2 out of 5 stars. Daughter Ginny Johnson called it, “NASTY. NASTY.”
Comparing The Covington to his time as a POW, Hugh said, “My German captors kept me better.” Meals were missed. Rooms were filthy. Hugh suffered 28 falls, a broken rib, and his partial plate was lost.
Theriault responded by moving Hugh to Blue Ridge Nursing Home. That facility lost its eligibility for federal funding and was assessed a $4,550-a-day civil penalty for 6-weeks in spring 2012.
Geriatric Care Manager Heather Joyner of Aging Family Services so neglected Hugh that she was removed from his case. Geriatric Adult Guardianship Social Worker Karen Johnson replaced Joyner. Ginny described both Joyner and Johnson as “so, so, so HATEFUL.” More

Think your well-tended nest egg will protect you from the depredations of old age? Don’t count on it.
Little has changed since the D.C. Court of Appeals ruled almost a decade ago that Probate Judge Kaye Christian abused her power by ordering retired economist Mollie Orshansky, creator of the federal poverty line, removed from her sister’s care in New York and placed in a District guardianship against her will.
Even multimillionaires cannot prevent a judge from appointing a total stranger to take complete control of their affairs — and banish family members who object.
That’s what happened to five-term D.C. Council member Hilda Mason and her husband, Charles, a Harvard graduate who traced his lineage back to the Plymouth landing. Despite Charles’ $22.5 million fortune, this power couple ended their lives in squalor.
Blind, wheelchair-bound and suffering from diabetes and skin cancer, Charles spent his last days in dirty clothing and worn-out shoes, with fingernails so long they curled around his fingers.
“He looked like a hobo,” one witness told The Washington Examiner. His frail wife suffered a broken collarbone when one of her “caregivers” ran her over with a four-wheel-drive vehicle.
At the time of Hilda Mason’s death in 2007, debris and broken furniture littered every room of the couple’s once-stately Shepherd Park home. The roof leaked and the house was infested with rodents and insects.
As attorneys helped themselves to the couple’s assets, Episcopal Senior Ministries reported that “there appears to be no individual or group that is currently responsible for the cleaning/condition of the house.”
According to a Jan. 9, 2001, court transcript, a clearly competent Charles Mason testified before the same Judge Christian that he no longer wanted the Virginia attorney he had previously hired to represent him.
Less than three months later, Charles was declared incompetent after an adverse reaction to a psychotropic cocktail landed him in Suburban Hospital’s psychiatric ward. More
