“Because psychiatrists frequently cause harm, permanent            disabilities,  death— death of the body-mind-spirit.”

By Don Weitz, Psychiatric Survivor & 24-year activist in the psychiatric liberation movement

1. Because psychiatrists frequently cause harm, permanent disabilities, death – death of the body-mind-spirit.

2. Because psychiatrists frequently violate the Hippocratic Oath which orders all physicians “First Do No Harm.”

3. Because psychiatrists patronize and dis-empower people, especially their patients.

4. Because psychiatry is not a medical science.

5. Because psychiatry is quackery, a pseudo-science which lacks independent diagnostic tests, testable hypotheses, and cures for “schizophrenia” and all other types of alleged “mental illness” or “mental disorder”.

Join the Protest Against Electroshocking Children— May 14, 2016, at the American Psychiatric Convention in Atlanta, Georgia

There are currently 8 million U.S. children being prescribed psychiatric drugs, with more than 1 million between the ages of zero to five.   Children are being drugged simply because psychiatry has pathologized normal childhood behaviors, and repackaged them as “mental disorders.”  The result?  Millions of children being drugged for behaviors reclassified by psychiatry as “disease.”

There is a growing awareness among the public and press that this current epidemic of child drugging is wrong.  Children are becoming addicted to these drugs, many of which are in the same class of highly addictive drugs as cocaine, opium and morphine.   Yet the  American Psychiatric Association is doing nothing to stop this epidemic.  Quite the opposite, they are now calling on the FDA to allow them to electroshock children who don’t respond to “treatment” (drugs.)  This opens the door for millions of children experiencing side effects from the drugs, to be reclassified as “treatment resistant” and to undergo electroshock as “treatment.”

We cannot allow this to happen.

New Mexico State Legislator Nora Espinoza introduced the strongest parental rights bill against child drugging ever to be passed in the United States. The bill stipulates there can be no forced psychiatric drugging of school children; No mental screening of children without parental consent, and that no government entity can remove a child from their parent’s custody, when the parent refuses to administer a mind-altering psychiatric drug to their child.

New Study Confirms What CCHR Has Said for Decades—Antidepressants Cause Violence

By Kelly Patricia O’Meara
September 22, 2015

Antidepressant drugs can cause violent behavior.

That’s what mainstream press such as the LA Times and Reuters are reporting, based on a new study published in a respected medical journal, PLOS Medicine, which found young adults between the ages of 15-24, were nearly fifty percent more likely to be convicted of a homicide, assault, robbery arson, kidnapping, sexual offense and other violent crime when taking the antidepressant than when they weren’t taking the psychiatric drug.psych-drugs-suicide-300x207

To have heavy-hitters like the Los Angeles Times cover the issue is precedent setting, as the link between psychiatric drugs and violence has long been ignored by mainstream press. But the fact that antidepressants cause violence isn’t a new revelation as the Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) has been at the forefront of exposing this connection for nearly two decades.

Watch the video: “CCHR: By 1991 Antidepressants were known to cause
violence & suicide”

CCHR’s efforts to expose the link between violence and antidepressants goes back to 1991 when CCHR helped organize hearings before the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), where victims and experts gathered to testify that Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs) cause not only suicide but violence, including homicide.

The testimony by parents, about the violent self-inflicted deaths of their young children, was gut-wrenching. Yet, despite overwhelming data provided by experts, and the first-hand accounts of suicide and violence caused by antidepressants, the FDA Advisory Committee, many of which had financial conflicts of interest with the pharmaceutical companies, refused to warn the public of the link between suicide and antidepressants, and did not provide any consideration of whether the antidepressants may be responsible for other violent behavior.

Click on graph to view larger

But, as was expected, increasing numbers of suicides and other violent acts continued to add up and, finally, more than a decade later, in 2004, the FDA was, again, forced to address the issue.  This time, though, the data provided by whistleblowers within the industry could not be shrugged off and more than a decade after the federal agency first knew of the deadly consequences associated with SSRIs, a “black box” warning for suicidal ideation and behavior finally was issued on all antidepressants. Yet the connection to violence and homicide continued to be ignored. To this day, despite 22 warnings on psychiatric drugs causing violence from international drug regulatory agencies, and despite the fact that t least 35 school shootings and/or school-related acts of violence have been committed by those taking or withdrawing from psychiatric drugs resulting in 169 wounded and 79 killed, the FDA has never issued black box warnings on antidepressant drugs causing violence. New Mexico Lawmakers Join Growing List of States Protecting Children From Forced Psychiatric Drugging

logo CCHR
“It’s encouraging that New Mexico is taking its place among a growing list of states taking protective actions on behalf of children and parental rights.”

By Kelly Patricia O’Meara
April 13, 2015

New Mexico took a big step toward protecting children’s and parents’ rights when, last week, Governor Susana Martinez signed into law a bill ensuring that a parent’s decision not to administer psychotropic drugs to a child is not grounds for a child being removed from parental custody by Child Protective Services (CPS).

And the legislation goes deeper. House Bill 53, sponsored by State Rep. Nora Espinoza, also restricts school personnel from taking any action against the parent or compelling or requiring any student to take a psychotropic drug and, further, requires parental written consent prior to any psychological screening.

The Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) applauds these important safeguards for children. For too long parents’ rights have been subjugated by the mental health industry, and children wrongly labeled with mental disorders and drugged with dangerous mind-altering psychotropic drugs. It’s encouraging that New Mexico is taking its place among a growing list of states taking protective actions on behalf of children and parental rights.

There is an ever-increasing number of children being diagnosed with subjective,child-drugging-mercola  non-scientific, mental disorders, and prescribed harmful and even deadly psychiatric drugs. In the U.S. 8.4 million are prescribed drugs with more than 1 million between the ages of 0-5.

In light of the ever-increasing number of children being diagnosed with subjective, non-scientific, mental disorders and prescribed harmful and even deadly psychiatric drugs, lawmakers around the country are beginning to set limits on mental health intrusions both within the home and at schools.

Florida and Colorado both have passed laws providing enhanced rights to parents, including to right to refuse psychiatric testing/screening and/or provide written consent prior to any screening and, further, to prohibit school personnel from recommending the use of psychiatric drugs and/or make it so the refusal of a parent to consent to the administration of a psychiatric drug to their child is not a condition of the child attending school.

Most notably, Florida currently has a bill (HB 209) that directly addresses psychiatry’s diagnosing manual, stating that before a student is evaluated for the purpose of diagnosing the child with any disorder listed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), the parent shall be notified of all of the following:
•The behaviors prompting the evaluation could be the result of underlying physical conditions.
•The parent should consider consulting a medical doctor to rule out physical causes.
•The parent has the right to decline the evaluation.
•The evaluation and subsequent classification or placement may be documented on the student’s cumulative record.

Thirteen states, including the recently enacted legislation in New Mexico, have passed legislation addressing parental rights as they pertain to refusing psychiatric drugs, restricting removal of children by CPS based solely on the parent’s refusal to administer psychiatric drugs to a child, and coercion of parents to submit their child to mental health screening.

cchrint11-Five states have passed legislation prohibiting school personnel from recommending the use of psychiatric drugs and/or prohibit the refusal of a parent to consent to the administration of a psychiatric drug to a child is not a condition of the student attending school.

Five states, including Illinois, Minnesota, Oregon, Texas and Virginia, have passed legislation prohibiting school personnel from recommending the use of psychiatric drugs and/or prohibiting the refusal of a parent to consent to the administration of a psychiatric drug to a child from being a condition of the student attending school.

Additionally, Utah, New Hampshire, Arizona and, now, New Mexico, have enacted legislation protecting parents from having their children removed by CPS based on the grounds of medical neglect for refusing to administer a psychiatric drug to their child.

And, in Michigan, in response to the well-publicized case of the harrowing armed assault against Maryanne Godboldo for refusing to drug her daughter, the Department of Children and Families changed its policy, reflecting the public outcry and stating “CPS is not responsible for investigating complaints that allege parents are failing or refusing to provide their children with psychotropic medication such as Ritalin.”

The fact that nearly six-and-a-half million American children between the ages of 4-17 have been diagnosed with the alleged ADHD and prescribed mind-altering drugs no longer can be ignored. The increase in the ADHD diagnosis from 7.8% in 2003 to 9.5% in 2007 and to 11% in 2011 has not been lost on lawmakers.

That Florida is the first state to specifically address psychiatry’s diagnostic manual is of note and a primer for future legislative action—a first step in initiating a much-needed conversation about the fraudulent, non-scientific diagnosing of America’s children.

Neurologist Questions ‘Sudden Deaths’

Neurologist Questions ‘Sudden Deaths’

California neurologist Fred Baughman Jr. has compiled a list of nearly 400 questionable soldier and veteran deaths, many attributed to “natural causes.”

“What the hell are ‘natural causes’ in 20-year-olds?” Baughman asks.

His research has led him to believe they are “probable sudden cardiac deaths with no pulse and brain death in 4-5 minutes caused by a cocktail of psychiatric drugs, especially antipsychotics.”

He found common factors in the cases of Andrew White and three other West Virginia veterans, all in their 20s, who died in their sleep in early 2008: “All had been diagnosed ‘PTSD’—a psychological diagnosis, not a disease (physical abnormality) of the brain; all were on the same prescribed drug cocktail, Seroquel (antipsychotic), Paxil (antidepressant) and Klonopin (benzodiazepine); and all appeared ‘normal’ when they went to sleep.”

With other physicians and CCHR, Dr. Baughman has issued an urgent warning: “I call upon the military for an immediate embargo of all antipsychotics and antidepressants until there has been a complete, wholly public, clarification of the extent and causes of this epidemic of probable sudden cardiac deaths.”

Lawmakers Focus on Overdrugging

Psychopharmaceutical drugging is a key factor in the high rate of suicidesSen-Sanders-calls-VA-reps-on-outpoints among military veterans, experts told United States Senators in November 2014.

Responding to the testimony of a panel of experts, in addition to written testimony submitted by Citizens Commission on Human Rights, members of the Veterans’ Affairs Committee focused on the issue of overdrugging more than in any past hearings.

Chaired by Senator Bernard Sanders of Vermont, the committee heard from Susan Selke, mother of Marine Clay Hunt who took his own life at age 28 in 2011 after tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. Complaining of feeling depressed, VA doctors put him on a cocktail of psychotropic drugs and then piled on more prescriptions each time he reported adverse effects, Selke said.

CCHR-Comm-Linda-LagemannCCHR representative Linda Lagemann (left) and Susan Selke after Selke testified about her Marine son’s suicide while he was on a cocktail of psychotropics.

Selke said her son said more than once, “I’m a guinea pig for drugs. They’ll put me on one thing, I’ll have side effects, and then they put me on something else.” The ending was Hunt’s tragic suicide.

Others testifying included the mother of another suicide victim, a retired Marine, with the Wounded Warrior Project, and the executive director of Team Red, White and Blue. Both veteran support organizations focus on alternatives to psychotropic drugging of veterans. More

Petition Launched to Prevent Psychotropic Drugging of California’s Foster Care Youth

By Kelly Patricia O’Meara
February 5, 2015

In response to the current child-drugging tragedy in California’s foster care system, the Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) has launched a petition calling for State legislators and policymakers to enact protections that would provide foster children and youths certain rights relating to being prescribed dangerous psychotropic drugs—especially the right to object to taking such drugs.

Sign the petition here.

The enormity of the drugging was first revealed in a San Jose Mercury News series last year titled, Drugging Our Kids, documenting the massive psychiatric drug use within the state’s foster care to control behavior, the harm these drugs cause and the financial drain on taxpayers.

Sonya Muhammad, a retired counselor with the Los Angeles County Office of Education/Foster Youth Services, knows firsthand the effects of dangerous drugging within California’s foster care system, calling it “a world of chemical doom.” According to Muhammad, “I have seen children become ill and sobbing and frightened of their bodies’ reactions to these drugs.” More

California lawmakers will consider a major overhaul this year of how the california-foster-kidsstate cares for thousands of traumatized foster children, a sweeping effort to curb the excessive use of psychiatric drugs in foster care.

Legislation to boost caregiver training, strengthen court oversight of prescriptions and give foster youth the right to alternative treatments is in the works in the Senate to address problems revealed in this newspaper’s yearlong investigation “Drugging Our Kids.”

After years of growing concern — but no action — state Senate President Pro Tem Kevin de León said he is “optimistic that oversight will result in overdue reform.”

Psychotropic drug use in foster care is “one of the top issues on the child welfare agenda this session,” said Susanna Kniffen, policy director at the nonprofit Children Now advocacy group.

With a half dozen legislators exploring bills, de León’s staff has been working behind the scenes, attending meetings of a statewide reform group and meeting with advocates and lawmakers considering bills. More

November 21, 2014

Already a fairly detailed picture is emerging about Attorney and Florida State Alumnus (FSU), Myron May, as the latest in a long line of mass shooters under the influence of psychotropic drugs.

While the headlines focus on May’s apparent paranoia and deteriorating mental state, the shooter’s friends have provided more detail about May’s life leading up to the attack. According to May’s former roommate, Keith Jones, “There is more to his mental health (status) that may have caused some of this. He was taking medications which caused paranoia.”

Additionally, according to CBS News, last month an ex-girlfriend called police on May saying he was harassing her. The ex-girlfriend, Danielle Nixon, further reported that May had been hospitalized for several weeks prior, and that “in addition to spending time at Mesilla Valley Hospital, May was taking prescription drugs.”

While the complete number of drugs May had been taking still is not known, according to ABCactionnews.com, “inside May’s apartment there was a half-filled prescription for Hydroxyzine,” commonly known as an antianxiety drug. And those who knew May report that the shooter was taking psychiatric drugs, had been experiencing paranoia due to them, used to see a therapist and had been hospitalized prior to the shooting. As if it isn’t bad enough that there is no science to support the reported brain abnormality, ADHD, further proof has recently been made public that reveals the bogus research used to sell dangerous and even life-threatening ADHD drugs.

A recent study lead by researchers from Boston Children’s Hospital, the Department of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and several other institutions, concludes that the clinical trials for drugs approved as “treatment” for ADHD were not designed to assess adverse events or long-term safety and efficacy. California’s Crisis: 1 Out of Every 4 Children in California’s Foster Care System are Prescribed Powerful Psychiatric Drugs Including Dangerous Antipsychotics

With alarming frequency, foster and health care providers are turning to a risky but convenient remedy to control the behavior of thousands of troubled kids: numbing them with psychiatric drugs that are untested on and often not approved for children.

A new report issued from the Bay Area News organization, raises the alarm on mass prescribing of dangerous psychotropic drugs to California’s foster care children. Among the findings of the investigation: Nearly 1 out of every 4 adolescents in California foster care system is being drugged , 3 times the rate for adolescents nationwide. Even more alarming is that of the tens of thousands prescribed psychiatric drugs, nearly 60% were prescribed powerful antipsychotics which have been documented by 72 international drug regulatory warnings to cause heart problems, stroke, diabetes, convulsions and sudden death.

The Citizens Commission on Human Rights, a mental health watchdog organization responsible for helping to enact more than 150 reforms against abusive mental health practices, says this treatment of children is medical neglect, and reforms must be enacted to protect this vulnerable population. CCHR has experts in the field of California Foster Care who are available for media interviews, as well as Doctors who can speak to the dangers of the drugs being prescribed to children, not only in foster care, but nation wide.

According to IMS Health, the leading vendor of all US prescribing data, nearly 9 million children currently being prescribed psychiatric drugs—with more than 1 million are under the age of five. Veterans Administration, Suicide,Psychiatric Drugs and Conflicts of Interest

Editor’s note:  With so many of our veterans, many of them decorated war heroes, now imprisoned under the predatory guardianship system and in dire need of rescue, this article is of particular interest.  The forced drugging and legalized theft of veteran benefits, savings and estates is in full swing.  Where is the VA when these men and women need them most?  Apparently…….at the pharmacy.  Marti

Veterans Administration Says Psychiatric Drugs Do Not Lead to Suicide, Yet Studies VA Cites Were Authored by Psychiatrists with Heavy Drug Company Ties—Watchdog Calls on Congress to Investigate Conflicts of Interest in VA Data Outcomes

The VA has recently stated that there’s no link between military suicides and sudden deaths due to psychiatric drug use, despite the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) highest warning “black box” attached to antidepressants for increased suicidal thinking and behavior and numerous warnings on psychiatric drugs and sudden death. CCHR, the mental health watchdog, says that the contrary data should merit a Congressional investigation based on the fact that the studies the VA is relying on, were conducted by psychiatrists with heavy conflicts of interest—which may explain their findings. These psychiatrists combined have over 70 financial ties to pharmaceutical companies including Pfizer, Eli Lilly, Abbott Labs, Forest Labs, GlaxoSmithKline and Bristol-Myers Squibb.

· The use of psychiatric drugs in the VA and military is increasing despite the clear cut evidence by the FDA and international drug regulatory agencies that psychiatric drugs cause suicidal thinking and behavior. By 2013, the VA and Department of Defense published a clinical-practice guide reporting that 18-22 die daily. Add to that the nearly 400 questionable soldier deaths, probable cardiac arrest from antipsychotics and cocktails of psychiatric drugs.

Tough questions need to be asked about psychiatrists in the VA and the pharmaceutical conflicts of interest in reports the VA is using for federal regulations. Our military personnel deserve no less.

The Persecution of Maryanne Godboldo: Detroit Prosecutors Still Going After Mom Who Refused to Drug Her Daughter

On the continued attempts of Detroit Prosecutors to charge Maryanne Godboldo, Attorney Allison Folmar states, “This is a case of misdiagnosis, misinformation and unrestrained persecution. Five out of five judicial reviews found that Maryanne had the right to defend her home and child. That the prosecution refuses to end this attack is ample proof that she is being persecuted. This case really puts psychiatrists and the pharmaceuticals on trial because they tried to do something that they had no right to do.”

Once Again, Prosecutors have attempted to bring criminal charges against Detroit mother Maryanne Godboldo. And once again, they have failed.

On March 24, 2011, the Maryanne Godboldo case garnered international headlines when images of a battle-ready SWAT team, tanks and a helicopter, were unleashed upon a Detroit mother for refusing to administer a dangerous and potentially lethal antipsychotic drug to her daughter. The illegal seizure of the then 13-year old caused a firestorm of press and public outcry. By December 11th, 2011, nine months and numerous court battles later, Godboldo was acquitted of all charges based on the unconstitutional and illegal seizure of the child. More

THE HIDDEN ENEMY: INSIDE PSYCHIATRY’S COVERT AGENDA
DOCUMENTARY

the-hidden-enemy-dvd-en“We have never drugged our troops to this extent and the current increase in suicides is not a coincidence.

“Why hasn’t psychiatry in the military been relieved of command of Mental Health Services?

“In any other command position in the military, there would have been a change in leadership.”

— Lt. Col. Bart Billings, Clinical Psychologist
U.S. Army Reserve, Ret.

Today, with militaries of the world awash in psychiatry and psychiatric drugs, 23 US soldiers and veterans are committing suicide every day. Those same drugs have been linked to the recent military base shooting tragedies.

Psychiatrists say we need more psychiatry.

But should we trust them?

Or is psychiatry the hidden enemy?

Featuring interviews with over 80 soldiers and experts, this penetrating documentary shatters the façade to reveal the real culprits who are destroying our world’s militaries from within.

Drugging America to Death: The War of Drugs

______________________________________________________________________

There is no war on drugs. There is a war of drugs.

Right now, plans are underway in virtually every state to house mental health clinics in all of our public schools. In addition, there are companion bills for targeted drug funding to make sure that the largest number of children are diagnosed with a “mental disorder” and then forced onto psychotropic medications. The new DSM 5, the service manual for psychiatry contains 300 + fictional diagnosis that are determined only by observation and are subjective, rather than objective. There are no physical tests, no science, no medical evidence that these disorders exist. Yet our children will be forced onto medications that can permanently damage their brains as a result of a diagnosis that has no basis in fact or evidence. These medications can cause suicidal and homicidal ideation and uncontrolled aggression in a large number of children. Others will be rendered dysfunctional and lifeless.

For decades the military has drugged our soldiers either with barbiturates or amphetamines. Those returning from the wars today are quickly diagnosed with post traumatic stress, depression, anxiety and other disorders and then given massive doses of psychotropic medications, many times causing early death which is then ruled to be suicide. The prescribed doses are so massive that in most cases death is inevitable.

Apparently, this plan has now been refocused on our children.

Adding psychotropic drugs to the mix of deadly vaccines, fluoridated water and genetically modified food should create the dulled down, compliant population so desired by those in government. And, it will also create a fair number of homicidal individuals as we have seen recently emerging.

The video below is a history of psychiatry, the use of drugs, and the ongoing experiments to determine just how far tampering with the human mind can go before the individual reaches critical mass.

This is what they have planned for your kids…………………………..
