Duty to Warn

Submitted by:  Dr. Gary Kohl’s

By Guest Columnist Bruce G. Morgan – August 23, 2018

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This powerful essay by Bruce Morgan (which only contains a very small portion of the large amount of easily available evidence) proves, without any doubt, that the official Bush/Cheney/Pentagon/NIST/PNAC/Mainstream Media (MSM) “explanations” for the events of 9/11/01 were totally false and were therefore part of a conspiracy to disinform the American public about the catastrophe. If the evidence is followed in a court of law, the collapse of the three WTC towers will be conclusively proven to have been caused by a self-inflicted, controlled demolition rather than a fire. This column is being published and distributed around the world well in advance of the upcoming 17th anniversary of 9/11 so that the official anniversary story-lies that will surely be repeatedly and nauseatingly told by the MSM on 9/11/18 can be immediately refuted and laughed at and at the same time interest will be generated in the Lawyers Committee for 9-11 Inquiry described below. The truth is out there, and there will have to be a lot of explaining to do by the authorities and the MSM. See the links at the end of the column for much more. GGK (8/28/18)
2017 European scientific study concludes: All three WTC Towers collapsed due to controlled demolitions. Image above shows uniformly-severed short sections (less than 30 feet each) of WTC Tower structural steel beams weighing thousands of pounds each, flying like matchsticks from the exploding building. The sudden smoke is clearly from an explosion and not from a fire, thus totally disproving the official NIST report. Remember when the country first elected Obama? Remember the collective sigh of relief as he spoke of returning the country to its former glory? Remember when we all thought he was going to end the neo-con overthrow of our government and country?
And remember when we all realized he had simply picked up where the Bush/Cheney Crime Syndicate left off and added some new twists of his own?
Remember how sick at your stomach you felt when you realized that Obama was Bush on steroids?
That’s kind of the same feeling too many of us out here have today. This wasn’t a mandate for Republicans although they are trying to sell it as if it was. It was a rejection of the corruption, the anti-American mind-set in the District of Criminals. And we had only two choices.
______________________________________________
34192_1thThere are few out here in the general public, regardless of supposed party affiliation, expressing any sense of celebration or excitement over last night’s election returns. We simply swapped one faction of the one-party system for the other. Most agree that nothing is going change other than the way the pre-planned agenda will be implemented.
Absent from any debates, if you could call the public displays put on by candidates on both sides a debate of any kind, was any discussion of the illegal and unwarranted spying by NSA and multiple other spy agencies operating without oversight.
No one mentioned or even discussed casually, the militarization of law enforcement against the public at large. Not one candidate mentioned the military tanks, the grenade launchers, assault rifles, SWAT gear, and other military weapons that local law enforcement is now arming themselves with for use on the very communities that employ them. Equipment that was paid for with taxpayer money or borrowed in the name of the People and produced so excessively that there was enough equipment to sell to other countries, to arm our own military and to arm local law enforcement against us. Ten years have passed since the World Trade Center attacks of September 11, 2001, and there are still many unanswered questions surrounding that fateful day. In 2011, experts and scientists from around the world gathered in Toronto, Canada to present new and established evidence that questions the official story of 9/11. This evidence was presented to a distinguished panel of experts over a 4 day period. Through their analysis and scientific investigations, they hope to spark a new investigation into the attacks of September 11, 2001. (Information on the DVD follows below the videos)
Who could imagine this day would come?  Obviously, the Pentagon, the Bush Administration not only imagined it, but put it in motion.  Our own government in collusion with the military are openly moving against the people of the United States.  It is more than apparent we ARE the ENEMY so feared by those in power.  They weren’t  hunting BinLaden, they aren’t looking for terrorists…….they are preparing to hunt us.
The continual threats of an attack perpetrated by some vague enemy they either cannot identify or will not indentify are overshadowed by the presence of our own military on our streets fully engaged in preparation for attacking us.  If you think for one moment they wouldn’t…….just look at your local police and sheriff’s departments..fully militarized and more than willing to assault people in their own communities.
But don’t forget:  In 2008, General Renault of the Air Force signed that agreement of treason with the Canadians called the Civil Assistance Plan.  Plan B to be used just in case our soldiers decide love of country and patriotism does not include launching attacks on US civilians.  In this case, the Canadians will send their troops to do the job.  And we will return the favor for them, sending our troops against Canadians.
The suicide rate in our military is at an all time high as troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan are suffering post traumatic stress and suffering from horrendous depression as a result of what they saw and were required to do in the name of Bush’s (and now Obama’s) wars on humanity.  I have to wonder what kind of mental suffering will occur if in the future these young men and women have to deal with the suffering they caused here in their own country if this preparation for assault inside the US by the United States military takes place.
Who, by virtue of all these listed activities and many more, was deemed a threat to the government?  Read the bills.  The only thing missing in them is your specific name.  All of this brought to you by the Republicans during the Bush Administrations.
So now Bush and the neo-cons are blameless? And you want the Republicans back?
For all of you out there beating the drum for Republican’s to take control of both houses of Congress, I have to ask:  Were you in a coma from 2000 to 2008?
While I surely do not support the current administration and its globalist agenda, and, while I believe Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid represent a clear and present danger to the country at large, I find them no more repugnant than say, Karl Rove or Tom Delay; their personalities and intentions no less malignant than those of the neo-cons who set the overthrow of the sovereign United States into motion.  I find them equally as frightening in their contempt for us, as I did Dick Cheney and his crew of fascist driven cohorts.  And now you want to put the masterminds of this coup’ back in control?  What is it you think will change?  What is it that you think these psychopaths and sociopaths are going to do to better the current crisis in our government?
How quickly and conveniently so many of you have forgotten that it was the Republicans, lead by the neo-con faction, who gave us the unconstitutional:
  • Patriot Acts;
  • John Warner Defense Authorization Act of 2007; a bill which gave the president the unlawful authority to:
  • declare anyone of us a domestic terrorist for resisting the growing tyranny of our own government; More
BP Was Asleep At the Wheel – But Politicians Gave Them the Keys.
Gulf Coast Walrus?
Alrighty folks. We can bash BP all we want, but lets face facts. As clearly pointed out today in this clever little piece, BP  had the gonads to toss together a “response plan” (including saving the non-exsistant Gulf Walrus population) dealing with oil spill issues.
However the current Administration approved the plan.
So before we go looking to “kick some gluteus maximus” overseas and tame the British Empire to our demands, we better start with our own internal issues.
Three Presidential Administrations share the blame for the current spill. In a quick little synopsis we can see:
A regional shallow hazards survey and study was carried out at the project area by KC Offshore in 1998 (Clinton). High resolution, 2D seismic data along with 3D exploration seismic data of the MC 252 was collected by Fugro Geoservices in 2003 (Bush). The prospect was initially acquired by BP at MMS Lease Sale #206 in March 2008 (Bush).
Mapping of the block was carried out by BP America in 2008 and 2009 (Bush % Obama). BP secured approval to drill the Prospect from MMS in March 2009 (Obama) without MMS requiring use of an acoustic blowout preventer actuation alternative. An exploration well was scheduled to be spudded in 2009.
On 7 October 2009 the Transocean Marianas semi-submersible rig commenced drilling, but operations were halted at 4,023 feet (1,226 m) below the sea floor on 29 November 2009, when the rig was damaged by Hurricane Ida. The Transocean’s Deepwater Horizon rig resumed drilling operations in February 2010.
In September 2009, the rig drilled the deepest oil well in history at a vertical depth of 35,050 feet (10,683 m) and measured depth of 35,055 feet (10,685 m).
At the time of the accident, Deepwater Horizon was working on BP’s Mississippi Canyon Block 252, referred to as the Macondo Prospect. The rig was last located 50 miles (80 km) off the southeast coast of Louisiana. In October 2009, BP extended the contract for Deepwater Horizon by three years, to begin in September 2010. The lease contract was worth US$544 million, a rate of $496,800 per day.
Ultimately we know the “Buck stops here” means the current Energy Secretary could have, and should have, reviewed this process before awarding BP the opportunity to continue the drilling process.
The BP incident is indicative of what we all know. The corruption, arrogance and “business as usual” attitude in our Government is unchecked.
We the people have an opportunity to fix this. The adage “there is no use crying over spilt milk” (or in this case Oil) is applicable.
All incumbents out in November and in 2012.
I’m sure they could easily find employment in the Gulf Region and maybe even the Eastern Seaboard for the next decade or so.
As those who are awake and aware of what has really been going on in America and the world for the last nine years know, the Bush administration, following the false-flag attacks it created on 9/11, used this as an excuse to create the USA Patriot Act and, later, the John Warner Defense Authorization Act of 2007, two laws that were the most dangerous to human liberty since the Alien and Sedition Act was passed by the Rothschild-paid Federalists in 1789. In addition, on January 27, 2009, one week into his presidency, Obama passed HR 645, the law that “authorizes” the FEMA camps that had already been constructed under Bush’s administration in 2006 by government contractor Kellogg Brown & Root (KBR). SHOE THROWING AT THE WHITE HOUSE
JOIN US IN WASHINGTON, DC ON PRESIDENT BUSH’S LAST DAY IN OFFICE FOR A SHOE HURLING ACTION
MONDAY, JANUARY 19th
11:00am CONVERGENCE followed by SHOE THROWING AT THE WHITE HOUSE
Why Shoe Bush?
Our president stood in a nation he had illegally invaded and occupied, where his actions had caused over 1.2 million deaths, 5 million people forced out of their homes, millions more deprived of electricity or clean water and afraid to walk the streets.  He stood smiling in a nation he had transformed into a living hell, a place where everyone had seen loved ones and neighbors killed.  And when Muntadar Al-Zeidi threw two shoes at him, our president remarked “I don’t know what his beef is.”
But billions of people around the world believed that the pretended obliviousness of George W. Bush to the pain and suffering he was inflicting had gone on as long as they could stand if not much longer, and Al-Zeidi became a hero overnight.  His two shoes punctured the Bush veil of separation, the distance Bush pretends to imagine exists between his decisions and the human limbs scattered in the sand of his colony.  And while the U.S. media pretended to wonder whether the water torture was “really” torture, the United States and its puppet government in Iraq inflicted on Al-Zeidi one of the more commonly employed torture techniques of the Bush regime: they beat him and broke his bones.
In an ideal world, it would be enough to present the evidence of crimes for Bush, Cheney, and their criminal subordinates to be prosecuted and convicted.  In this world, we’ve presented that evidence ( http://afterdowningstreet.org/keydocuments ) for years, and we are still in a climate in which Bush and Cheney blissfully admit their crimes, apparently believing that they render prosecution less likely by declaring their own crimes acceptable.  While lies may take hold more easily the bigger they are, big lies also collapse quickly, as when a child points to a naked emperor, or a journalist throws his shoes.
We have a president-elect who can save himself from engaging in criminal wars and occupations, in torture and other war crimes, in warrantless spying and other violations of our Constitution, only by prosecuting the actions of his predecessor.  Not to prosecute is itself a crime.  If we are going to persuade the president elect, we must first persuade the U.S. media, and the U.S. media is not attracted by facts and information.  The U.S. media is attracted by throwing shoes.
Bush’s last act is expected to be the unprecedented pardoning of crimes he authorized.  This has never before been done, and to do so is to drop all claim to being a nation of laws.  Thanks to the example set by Al-Zeidi, since emulated by people all over the world, we will know exactly how to make our response visible when those pardons come.
Will Bush Pardon Cheney on Christmas Eve?
Will Bush Pardon Cheney on Christmas Eve?
On Christmas Eve 1992, defeated President George H.W. Bush pardoned Caspar Weinberger, Elliott Abrams, Duane Clarridge, Alan Fiers, Clair George, and Robert McFarlane for their Iran-Contra crimes. Not one served a single day in jail; Weinberger was about to go on trial and would have tied Bush himself to the scandal.
Will George W. Bush follow his father’s precedent and pardon Dick Cheney and his other criminal co-conspirators this Wednesday on Christmas Eve?
Last week, Cheney was all over TV setting the stage for pardons. He admitted he personally approved torture, but insisted it destroyed Al Qaeda and saved American lives.
According to a powerful article by David Rose in Vanity Fair, the Bush-Cheney torture regime accomplished exactly the opposite. The torture photos from Abu Ghraib helped Al Qaeda’s recruitment soar. U.S. officers in Iraq say torture-inspired attacks on U.S. soldiers were the #1 and #2 cause of soldiers’ deaths. CIA analysts say the “intelligence” produced by torture was worthless.
On November 20, Rep. Jerrold Nadler introduced H.Res. 1531 to urge Bush not to pardon his criminal co-conspirators. Nadler’s bill has 9 co-sponsors but we need every Representative (and Senator) to speak out against corrupt self-pardons.
Urge Eric Holder to Appoint a Special Prosecutor for Bush War Crimes
Last week three important Democrats – Rep. Jerrold Nadler, Sen. Carl Levin, and VP-elect Joe Biden – independently urged the Attorney General to investigate Dick Cheney’s torture confession. A growing chorus of newspapers (NY Times) and legal scholars (John Dean, Glenn Greenwald) agrees.
Prosecution of those responsible for torture is not optional – it is required by our obligations under the Geneva Conventions.
So we’ve joined forces with buhdydharma and the Docudharma community to petition Obama’s AG nominee, Eric Holder, to appoint a Special Prosecutor.
Holder replied after receiving a few hundred emails: “Enough folks. I hear you.” That’s a start, but we’ve asked for a formal statement. And we’re collecting additional signatures to deliver when Holder goes before the Senate for confirmation hearings in January.
Please sign and spread the word!
He say’s…..”At least Bush had the balls”…..
It seems not a day goes by anymore that at some point I am not butting heads with another person…usually a man….who thinks he knows how things are, how things work…..but who in reality seems to know very little about much of anything.  In almost every instance, the source of information for Mr. Know-it-all is someone like Limbaugh, Hannity or some other noxious right wing gasbag who makes their living spewing disinformation or outright garbage into the public arena.  How anyone can tolerate listening to these blowhards without feeling vomit rise in their throats is a mystery.
My most recent encounter was with a ‘gentleman’ who insisted that “At least Bush had the balls to go after Iraq!”.  ‘S’cuse me?  My first thought was, “whose balls were they?”.  Bush certainly has none of his own.  That aside, I asked Mr. Know-it-all what he based this on?  I pointed out that Iraq was nearly defenseless, had no WMD, had not threatened us and was not in a position to threaten anyone.  I also pointed out that between us and Britain, we had the upper one third and lower one third of his country under a no-fly surveillance zone, and that Hussein only had control of the middle one-third of his country.  I added that not only did we have the entire country under surveillance, we had stopped any humanitarian aid including food, clean water and medical supplies and had done so for at least ten years.  Where was this threat?
Mr. Know-it-all then claimed that Hussein had been responsible for the attacks on 9/11 and that’s why Bush had to go after them.  [At this point I was tempted to start banging my head against a wall.]  How could anyone after all these years and after all the lies have been exposed about 9/11 still believe that Hussein was the culprit in 9/11?   Or that Iraq was in any way involved in those attacks?
Before I could stop myself I asked the question:  Where did you get that idea from?  I knew what was coming.  Mr. Know-it-all replied with the kind of self-righteous pride that can only come from self-induced ignorance and willing gullibility…….”Limbaugh was saying on his show……”.  [Let the head banging commence.]
Here’s your problem Mr. K…….you’re getting your information from a junkie.  One who is paid handsomely to assault the public with manipulated information to make sure you think and believe what those in the neo-conservative movement want you to think and believe.
As a last resort, Mr. K. screamed at me that Hussein was a bad man and had killed more than a hundred thousand of his own people and we had to stop him.  I responded that we have now killed more than a million Iraqi’s, having bombed them, shot them, blown them up, starved them and tortured some others.  I mentioned the depleted uranium gas that is being dispersed over the entire mid-east resulting in 70% of newborns being horribly deformed and the slow agonizing deaths of those exposed to this radio active waste product, and is also poisoning our troops.  Mr. K., now in a full rage, was now trying to tell me and a few others how Hussein had come into power….according to Limbaugh.  [You don’t even want to hear this part, it exceeds stupidity.]
In retaliation, I pointed out that Donald Rumsfeld had appeared on the front page of the New York Times shaking hands with Hussein after he was carefully selected by the up and coming neo-cons, to head up Iraq after we deposed their last leader.  We knew all along what he was doing to his own people and didn’t care until he refused to co-operate with us.  After all, he was instrumental in the Iran/Contra affair and waged war against Iran on our behalf with weapons we supplied him.
Realizing that I was arguing with an individual who was obviously mentally compromised, having been willfully exposed to auditory waste by-products that comprise the majority of Limbaugh and others broadcasts, I couldn’t resist one final question;  What kind of ‘balls’ did it take to attack a country that was nearly defenseless, that had not attacked us or threatened to?  And how ‘bout those oil production sharing agreements they are still trying to shove through the Iraqi parliament? You know…the oil we attacked Iraq to steal?”
At this point Mr. K. informed me that all Iraqi’s should be killed because they are Muslims, not Christians.  I bet God loved that one.
So there it is in a nutshell.  Bush had [balls] because he attacked a non-threatening country that was defenseless but it’s ok because they are Muslims not Christians….and the oil is a big perk too.
Somehow, considering the low level of intelligence of most of those who listen to these hacks who prey on the worst of human attributes, this doesn’t surprise me although the idea of Bush having [balls] somehow did.
Citizen Signing Statements: If they’re legal for W., we should have the same right.
Leave a comment
On more than 750 occasions King George has attached what are called signing statements to new or previously passed legislation.  These statements express his direct orders to cabinet, department and agency heads directing them and their subordinates to ignore any or all of the provisions of the law.  In effect, he renders anything that limits his power to rule as a dictator as null and void.
Our congress, apparently following Bush’s lead, has made clear that they do not and will not represent the people of the United States and are instead pandering to lobbyists and corporate interests in the head long rush to dissolve our nation. In the interest of preserving themselves, congress has failed to stop the wars of aggression, failed to repeal any of the rights robbing legislation, failed to halt earmarking, failed to repeal the odious Patriot acts, the John Warner Defense Authorization Act of 2007, the Military Commissions Act or the REAL ID Act, among many other un-American and unconstitutional laws.
Congress has however passed any law that promotes corporatism, militarism, illegal spying on US citizens, loss of civil liberties, invasion of privacy, establishment of a police state and many other invasive “laws” contrary to our Constitution.  Yet this same congress which is comprised of many individuals from previous congresses, has refused to impeach Bush and/or Cheney although mountains of evidence exists that proves they are guilty of many crimes; continues to try and push amnesty down our throats; has decided that we should all be tagged and tracked; refuses to end the war; bails out predatory lenders; sells off our infrastructure and allows the contamination of our food supply with GMO adulterated foods, and is now attempting to make our water supply available to corporate interests.
On top of all of this, there is no attempt, not even a pretended attempt, to halt the Security & Prosperity Partnership or the creation of the North American Union.  In fact, if you even bring either of these things up to any one of them……….they look like a deer caught in headlights…..and you will most likely be escorted from the room at the very least.
What we have is a president who has decided that he alone decides what is law or what isn’t and a congress that has ceded so much of its authority to the executive branch that there is no reason for the institution to continue to exist and even less reason for US citizens to continue having to fund their own destruction and to pay the salaries of these parasites on the public.
The majority of all the laws passed in the last seven years alone, have no legal basis and are arbitrary to the Constitution.  The signing statements issued by Bush have no legal standing whatsoever as there is no basis for this kind of self decided power either in our laws or in the Constitution.  Bush cannot legally use the term “commander in chief” as there has been no declaration of war by the congress, and therefore the War Powers Act does not apply and does not allow him unlimited powers and to rule unilaterally.
So many of us still hold out hope that the new Obama administration will reverse the most egregious of these actions and laws, but it isn’t going to happen.  Obama has made clear that he intends to continue the use of illegal signing statements, presidential directives and executive orders.  We are back to square one.  We have no representation in either house of congress and no president to protect our rights.
At what point will we say “enough!”?  What will it take to make us stand up not only for our country, but for ourselves, our children and grandchildren and demand our government retreat from its fascist position and return to one of constitutionally based government?
The days of our Republic, our democracy, are numbered.  Even the government knows this and in anticipation of that ending is assembling US and Canadian troops to [control] us.  We are in a police state with our own government just moments away from declaring war on us.  We have become the enemy most feared by our own government.
George Bush may have only days left in office but the damage this incompetent dolt did to our country or allowed to be done will remain with us for years if we do not stand up and demand our country back.
All that is left to decide is whether we are true patriots or submissive sheep.  If the president can decide all on his own that he can change the law with the stroke of his pen, we as citizens should have the same right.  We can and should write our own laws, sign our names to them and force them onto this government that has decided it no longer needs to honor its oath of office or the Constitution.
This is still a democracy…..at least until they physically attack us.
Here’s what the man said as he threw his shoes at Bush:
“This is a farewell kiss for you, you dog.
This is from the widows, the orphans, and those killed in Iraq.”
Well put.
Can we make this man an honorary American citizen?
After all, Bush created a lot of widows and orphans in America too.
It’s a pity all this guy had was his shoes – and he didn’t have better aim.
Bush’s S.O.F.A. agreement with Iraq….not approved by congress
American Freedom Campaign info@americanfreedomcampaign.org
The U.S.-Iraq Agreement’s New Clothes
The document parading around as the U.S.-Iraq agreement is not valid under the U.S. Constitution.  Its legitimacy is based solely on the silence of lawmakers (and members of the media), who seem to be paralyzed by the fear of having an independent and intelligent opinion.  Fortunately, one lawmaker has broken the silence and has acknowledged the truth before everyone’s eyes.
It is now time for others, including you, to join their voices with hers.
A few weeks ago, I wrote about the pending U.S.-Iraq agreement, decrying the fact that the Iraqi Parliament was being given the opportunity to vote on whether to approve the agreement while Congress was being denied – and was refusing to fight for – the same opportunity.
Well, thanks to our efforts and the leadership of Rep. Barbara Lee (D-CA), the U.S. House of Representatives may finally get to voice its opinion on President Bush’s unconstitutional usurpation of Congress’s legislative power.
Yesterday, Rep. Lee introduced a resolution related to the U.S.-Iraq agreement, inspired in part by AFC’s call for a “signing statement” resolution.  The primary purpose of this resolution is to express the sense of the House that President Bush does not have the power under the Constitution to negotiate and sign such a far-reaching agreement with another nation without seeking congressional approval of the agreement.
Passage of this resolution — most likely following re-introduction in January — will send a message to the Bush administration, the incoming Obama administration, and the rest of the world that the agreement holds no legal weight under U.S. law and will be considered merely advisory by Congress.
In truth, even without passage of this resolution, Congress shall not be bound by its terms.  No president can unilaterally commit $10 billion per month in U.S. treasure to keep our troops in another nation.  The United States has never been a monarchy or a dictatorship and we are certainly not going to accept any similar kind of system today.
Putting aside the question over whether this agreement is currently binding or not, it is important that as many lawmakers as possible openly reject the constitutionality of the agreement.  So please tell your U.S. representative to co-sponsor, support, and vote for Rep. Lee’s signing statement resolution (H.Res. 1535) by clicking on the following link:
Once you have sent your message, please forward this email widely to friends and family.  In the alternative, you can use the “Tell-A-Friend” option on the AFC Web site that will appear after you have sent your message.
Thank you so much for taking action.
The only thing I know for certain is that these are bad people……
The above statement, uttered by George W. Bush regarding the 80,000 Afghani’s, Iraqi’s and others, seized as prisoners and held by US forces in various locations, would have been more aptly applied to himself and his entire administration.  Under the direction of the worst president ever in our history, people such as Cheney, Rumsfeld, Gonzales, Ashcroft, Rice and Hadley and too many others to name here, conducted some of the most horrendous situations and events in US history, all the while wrapping them selves in the flag and proclaiming their Christian morality.
Under Bush’s direction, torture and imprisonment even of children, numbering in the thousands has been conducted through the twisting and contorting of international laws and treaties and in direct violation of our own constitution culminating in the 2007 John Warner Military Commissions Act in which Bush pardons himself, his cabinet and operatives in advance for the crimes they have committed against humanity.  Not one of those cases involving extraordinary rendition to countries such as Egypt for torture, not one of those held in Gitmo have been brought to trial.
In the three known instances where legal action was taken, Hamdan sued the government, Zarkawi was tortured into confessing to things he may or may not have known about, and Padilla was convicted with his defense unable to mount a valid defense on his behalf.
Of the 5,000 Arabs rounded up by John Ashcroft immediately following 9/11 for no other reason than they were Arabic, only one case ever made it to court…..and was thrown out for lack of evidence.
We have training centers in Arizona and Georgia which teach torture techniques.  We have a government that has systematically resorted to activities known to be futile in the collection of verifiable information, and condemned globally as inhumane.  And, for the most part, we stood by and cheered on those who have perpetrated these crimes against humanity.  Why?  What happened to us as a society, as supposedly the most advanced country in the world?  Why were we so willing to accept becoming what we claimed to despise in others?
The only thing I know for certain is that these are bad people……and it looks like they are going to walk away from all the human misery they have caused with their lies and manipulations; their outright deception, and live happily ever after.
We can only hope that the International Court will charge them each and every one, with war crimes and crimes against humanity.  God knows there is no one in our government willing to bring this bunch of chicken hawks to justice.
If you haven’t seen this video you need to take the time to view it.  Put yourself in the place of these people.  What has happened to them could just as easily happen to you.  Just because Bush is leaving office doesn’t mean this nightmare is over.
                                       by Alan Adaschik
America just survived the nightmare of living under the worst possible president anyone could imagine; George W. Bush.  No one can say anything good about his accomplishments while in office and this includes Republicans who are loyal to him.  This is because everything George Bush did was to the detriment of the people of this Nation and to the rest of the world.  As a President, he was a total failure and he deliberately worked to destroy everything that was right about our Nation and its government.  This includes:
·     Turning the office of the President into a dictatorship
·     Tightening the New World Orders grip upon our Nation
·     Increasing government secrecy
·     Opening the revolving door between corporations and government agencies
·     Reducing the effectiveness of and politicizing all government agencies
·     Increased the national debt bringing the Nation to the brink of bankruptcy
·     Broke down the wall between the separation between church and state
·     Wrongfully rewrote legislation through the use of signing statements
·     Wrongfully rewrote legislation through the use of executive orders
·     Worked to eliminate checks and balances in government
·     Eliminated citizen rights including inalienable ones
·     Introduced torture as a legitimate tool of government
·     Broke treaties and ignored international law
·     Lied to the American people about everything
·     Established an illegal prison system outside our borders
·     Wrongfully invaded a weak foreign nation on a lie
·     Failed to prevent 9/11 and is remiss in fighting the war on terror
·     Mishandled the Katrina disaster
·     Etc., etc., etc., ad nauseum
No, George Bush did nothing good for America and nothing good for the world.  While in office, his actions were undertaken solely for the benefit of our New World Order masters and the corporate executives who hold him firmly in their pockets.  In the final analysis, the ultimate irony of this is that what he wrought is not even beneficial to these Fascists because the destruction of our environment and the collapse of our economic system benefits no one including the demented criminals of the New World Order.  Indeed, America is ready for change but it goes far beyond just being ready because George Bush has driven a dagger into the very heart of what America is supposed to be and if his actions are not reversed, the American experiment in Republican Democracy is definitely over.
Enter Barack Obama into the picture!  What a breath of fresh air this man brings to the Presidency.  He is intelligent, articulate, handsome, and dedicated to his beautiful family.  Beyond this, he honestly wants to be a President for all Americans including those who do not have six figure incomes.  Furthermore, he is black and the vast majority of us living today never thought we would see the day when a black man would be elected as our President.  Americans should be proud that we are mature enough to look past the color of a man’s skin and judge a person based upon the character and abilities he has to offer in the service of his country.  Truly, Barack Obama has already changed America by the very act of being elected and to further succeed all he has to do reverse and not do what George Bush did.  The real issue is how committed he really is to doing this?
Barack Obama is our President because he promised to bring about “change” and the areas he intends to concentrate his efforts on are the economy, Iraq, and health care.  Anyone who owns a television knows this is the case and certainly a majority of us are in favor of changes in these areas.  This is all well and good as far as it goes, but the reality of our situation is such that it doesn’t go very far and the truth of the matter is that we really know very little about what Barack Obama will actually do when he takes office.  This is the problem with electing a populist President.  He makes you feel good and proud to be an American and there is certainly something to be said for this, but substance and perceptions are two different things and it is substance that makes or breaks a presidency.
Like most Americans, I was overjoyed when Barack Obama was elected President, but I had reservations because he is a member of one of our two dominating political parties.  To be sure, our electoral process boils down to the party seeking power trying to convince people that they will solve the problems created by the party still in power.  But the real truth, which most Americans do not understand, is that we are where we are today because both political parties collaborated and cooperated to get us here.  Eight years is not time enough to entirely change where our Nation is heading, so it stands to reason that our hijacked ship of state is on a course determined by its equally culpable co-captains; the Republicans and Democrats in keeping with the wishes and mandates of our New World Order masters.  Therefore, while Barack Obama focused his entire campaign upon change, a prudent citizen is more than justified in wondering just how committed to change Barack Obama really is.  While no one can make this determination with definitive certainty, enough information is available to make a reasonable determination as to what he will and will not do.
Co-opting religion to promote war
The current US President sees the war in Iraq as a Christian crusade…
Is this kind of bizarre thinking a rare and strange anomaly?
Unfortunately not.
The fact is “Christianity”is frequently co-opted and its missionaries are often used as a weapons.
Quote of the Day: “If I want to be free from any other man’s dictation, I must understand that I can have no other man under my control.” — William Graham Sumner (1840-1910) Source: “The Forgotten Man and Other Essays,” 1919
Subject: Will seven years of damage to civil liberties be reversed?
We heard it repeatedly: “Change we can believe in.” That’s what the President-elect promised. Do you expect it?
Well, we’re going to demand it.
Our civil liberties were trashed during the last seven years.
Habeas Corpus. Torture. Warrantless spying. And more. Where do we begin? For one thing . . .
We want President Obama to tell us the magnitude of the Bush Administration’s warrantless spying on Americans.
In 2005 the New York Times exposed the so-called “Terrorist Surveillance Program.” They had to rush the story to publish the story before the Bush Administration could stop it with an injunction. The story scared the Bush administration. And rightly so.
They were breaking the law. Someone should’ve gone to jail. But the Bush Administration had cajones — big brass ones.
First, they stonewalled, misdirected, and refused to provide documents to Congress. They even subpoenaed the phone records of the investigating reporters.
Then they demanded that Congress legalize their crimes retroactively, and immunize the phone companies that had conspired with them.
It took two years, but the Bush administration got what it wanted.
First, they had to wait for an election to provide a Congressional majority of “change Democrats.” It was the Democrats who gave the president his “get out of jail free card.”
One notable “change Democrat” showed us what change really means. His name was Barack Obama. He changed from his 2006 stance and voted to give President Bush the unconstitutional powers and immunity from prosecution that President Bush so desperately wanted and needed.
Call me cynical, but perhaps the aspiring President Obama was looking ahead and decided he wanted those powers too. If so, it may be wishful thinking to hope that our “change” president will tell us where the bodies are buried — even though he could simply direct his team to do so. But actually, our hopes are more well-founded.
To begin with, we could get an accounting from whistleblowers. As our coalition partner, Caroline Frederickson at the ACLU, told the New York Times, “I’d bet there are a lot of career employees in the intelligence agencies who’ll be glad to see Obama take the oath so they can finally speak out against all this illegal spying and get back to their real mission.”
And the Times has also reported that, “New Yorker investigative reporter Seymour Hersh already has a slew of sources waiting to spill the Bush administration’s darkest secrets. ‘You cannot believe how many people have told me to call them on January 20.’ said Hersh.”
If the whistleblowers step forward, then all we need is simply for President Obama to stay out of the way. That would be sufficient “change” in this instance.
Second, there are going to be some “musical chairs” that will “change” the leadership of various Senate Committees. CQ reports, “John D. Rockefeller IV, D-W.Va., might give up the Intelligence gavel to take the helm at the Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee. If that happens, Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif. is likely to chair the Intelligence panel.”
Senator Rockefeller was too accommodating to the Bush Administration. Senator Feinstein is no friend of civil liberties, but she’s been better than Rockefeller.
So “change” is possible, and will become more possible if we continue to push for it. Perhaps we all need to say, “Yes, we can!”
The best way to continue to apply pressure for real change is to ask for a complete reversal of President Bush’s trashing of our civil liberties. The best way to do that is to constantly pressure Congress to pass Ron Paul’s “American Freedom Agenda Act.”
This bill is so good that it’s supported by progressives, conservatives, and libertarians.
Please use our Educate the Powerful System to send another message to your elected representatives asking them to co-sponsor the “American Freedom Agenda Act.”
Use your personal comments to remind them that the election was about change, so change it what you want. Bush’s policies were repudiated, so they should also be repealed. The “American Freedom Agenda Act” does that.
Remember, stay tuned to these Dispatches. On Friday we plan to announce an exciting new project that will increase the speed at which the Downsize DC Army grows.
And thank you for being a part of that army.
Bush criminalizes anti-war movement and humanitarian aid
1 Comment
This is only one of the Executive Orders issued by a tyrant; a man totally dedicated to eradication of the Constitution, civil liberties and inalienable rights.
What you can read in this Order are the words of man terrified of his own people; one who seeks to silence them.  Notorious for his own criminal activities, threatened by possible prosecution for crimes against humanity, Bush has effectively rendered dissent against government actions as criminal.  This Executive Order is written to be intentionally and broadly interpreted.  On its face it appears to criminalize persons who might be actively involved in supporting Iraq either physically or monetarily against the United States. This can even include those (religious groups?) who might try to give humanitarian aid.
As in almost all of Bush’s E.O.’s, he grants himself the power at will to be the single or unilateral “decider” of who is or is not one of this newly created class of criminals.
Its an odd turn of events when the most corrupt and criminal among us abuses its power and authority to criminalize Constitutional rights.
Executive Order: Blocking Property of Certain Persons Who Threaten Stabilization Efforts in Iraq
By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, as amended (50 U.S.C. 1701 et seq.)(IEEPA), the National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C. 1601 et seq.)(NEA), and section 301 of title 3, United States Code,
I, GEORGE W. BUSH, President of the United States of America, find that, due to the unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States posed by acts of violence threatening the peace and stability of Iraq and undermining efforts to promote economic reconstruction and political reform in Iraq and to provide humanitarian assistance to the Iraqi people, it is in the interests of the United States to take additional steps with respect to the national emergency declared in Executive Order 13303 of May 22, 2003, and expanded in Executive Order 13315 of August 28, 2003, and relied upon for additional steps taken in Executive Order 13350 of July 29, 2004, and Executive Order 13364 of November 29, 2004. I hereby order:
Section 1. (a) Except to the extent provided in section 203(b)(1), (3), and (4) of IEEPA (50 U.S.C. 1702(b)(1), (3), and (4)), or in regulations, orders, directives, or licenses that may be issued pursuant to this order, and notwithstanding any contract entered into or any license or permit granted prior to the date of this order, all property and interests in property of the following persons, that are in the United States, that hereafter come within the United States, or that are or hereafter come within the possession or control of United States persons, are blocked and may not be transferred, paid, exported, withdrawn, or otherwise dealt in: any person determined by the Secretary of the Treasury, in consultation with the Secretary of State and the Secretary of Defense,
(i) to have committed, or to pose a significant risk of committing, an act or acts of violence that have the purpose or effect of:
(A) threatening the peace or stability of Iraq or the Government of Iraq; or
(B) undermining efforts to promote economic reconstruction and political reform in Iraq or to provide humanitarian assistance to the Iraqi people;
(ii) to have materially assisted, sponsored, or provided financial, material, logistical, or technical support for, or goods or services in support of, such an act or acts of violence or any person whose property and interests in property are blocked pursuant to this order; or
(iii) to be owned or controlled by, or to have acted or purported to act for or on behalf of, directly or indirectly, any person whose property and interests in property are blocked pursuant to this order.
(b) The prohibitions in subsection (a) of this section include, but are not limited to, (i) the making of any contribution or provision of funds, goods, or services by, to, or for the benefit of any person whose property and interests in property are blocked pursuant to this order, and (ii) the receipt of any contribution or provision of funds, goods, or services from any such person.
Sec. 2. (a) Any transaction by a United States person or within the United States that evades or avoids, has the purpose of evading or avoiding, or attempts to violate any of the prohibitions set forth in this order is prohibited.
(b) Any conspiracy formed to violate any of the prohibitions set forth in this order is prohibited.
Sec. 3. For purposes of this order:
(a) the term “person” means an individual or entity;
(b) the term “entity” means a partnership, association, trust, joint venture, corporation, group, subgroup, or other organization; and
(c) the term “United States person” means any United States citizen, permanent resident alien, entity organized under the laws of the United States or any jurisdiction within the United States (including foreign branches), or any person in the United States.
Sec. 4. I hereby determine that the making of donations of the type specified in section 203(b)(2) of IEEPA (50 U.S.C. 1702(b)(2)) by, to, or for the benefit of, any person whose property and interests in property are blocked pursuant to this order would seriously impair my ability to deal with the national emergency declared in Executive Order 13303 and expanded in Executive Order 13315, and I hereby prohibit such donations as provided by section 1 of this order.
Sec. 5. For those persons whose property and interests in property are blocked pursuant to this order who might have a constitutional presence in the United States, I find that, because of the ability to transfer funds or other assets instantaneously, prior notice to such persons of measures to be taken pursuant to this order would render these measures ineffectual. I therefore determine that for these measures to be effective in addressing the national emergency declared in Executive Order 13303 and expanded in Executive Order 13315, there need be no prior notice of a listing or determination made pursuant to section 1(a) of this order.
Sec. 6. The Secretary of the Treasury, in consultation with the Secretary of State and the Secretary of Defense, is hereby authorized to take such actions, including the promulgation of rules and regulations, and to employ all powers granted to the President by IEEPA as may be necessary to carry out the purposes of this order. The Secretary of the Treasury may redelegate any of these functions to other officers and agencies of the United States Government, consistent with applicable law. All agencies of the United States Government are hereby directed to take all appropriate measures within their authority to carry out the provisions of this order and, where appropriate, to advise the Secretary of the Treasury in a timely manner of the measures taken.
Sec. 7. Nothing in this order is intended to affect the continued effectiveness of any rules, regulations, orders, licenses, or other forms of administrative action issued, taken, or continued in effect heretofore or hereafter under 31 C.F.R. chapter V, except as expressly terminated, modified, or suspended by or pursuant to this order.
Sec. 8. This order is not intended to, and does not, create any right, benefit, or privilege, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law or in equity by any party against the United States, its departments, agencies, instrumentalities, or entities, its officers or employees, or any other person.
Bush should be in jail…….BRASSCHECK TV/video
If we can put a man on the moon…we can put George Bush in jail.
We have to wait until he’s out of office, but once he is it should be Gray Bar Hotel time.
I don’t care who is friends are or who his daddy is.
The legal theory is bullet proof, the case is rock solid, and the mechanism is in place – almost.
Your help is needed to make it happen:
1. Understand the case
2. Tell others about it
3. Support the Attorney General candidate for the State of Vermont who is legally empowered to bring the case to trial.
Here’s the smoking gun evidence that proves when Bush sent thousands of Americans to their deaths, he did it knowing that the country was in no danger from Iraq.
Under US law, taking a deliberate action knowing that it will result in the death of one or more, without legal justification, is murder.
Once he’s indicted in Vermont for the murder of citizens there who’ve been killed in Iraq only the Supreme Court can protect him – and it won’t be as easy for them to do this as it was when they put this criminal in the White House in the first place.
Now’s the time.
Advance planning by Bush & Paulson…….Executive Order #13456
1 Comment
In January of this year, Bush signed Executive Order # 13456 allowing, permitting and encouraging the so-called [investment] in America by foreign agents, individuals and corporations.  Apparently trying to make sure he finished his father’s efforts to sell off the taxpayer funded and owned infrastructure to private interests, including foreigners, this EO makes clear the intent to divest America of all assets previously funded and paid for by US taxpayers, and the intention to offshore even more of our jobs and businesses to foreign investors.
We are currently an estimated 10 to 70 TRILLION in debt as a nation.  As a country, we own less than 38% of all lands, and less than 42% of what were national assets.
I have no doubt this EO was written with full knowledge of the planned collapse of our economy.  When reading through it, note the extensive powers already delegated to the Treasury Secretary…..many of which were promoted as new powers under the bailout package.
Executive Order 13456—Further
Amendment of Executive Order 11858
Concerning Foreign Investment in the
United States
Section 1. Amendment to Executive Order 11858. Executive Order 11858
of May 7, 1975, as amended, is further amended to read as follows:
‘‘FOREIGN INVESTMENT IN THE UNITED STATES
By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the
laws of the United States of America, including section 721 of the Defense
Production Act of 1950, as amended (50 U.S.C. App. 2170), and section
301 of title 3, United States Code, it is hereby ordered as follows:
Section 1. Policy. International investment in the United States promotes economic growth, productivity, competitiveness, and job creation. It is the policy of the United States to support unequivocally such investment, consistent with the protection of the national security. (end excerpt)
Note:  In what is nothing less than a paragraph containing outright lies, we know that investment in the United States actually means the buying up of home mortgages, public lands, bridges, roads and other infrastructure.
International investment kills jobs and does not create anything but devastation.  Competitiveness is not even a consideration as international investment is a tool for eradicating competitiveness.  Productivity is a term used to disguise the slave labor wages and work conditions of poorer countries where the businesses are relocated.  Paying non-livable wages to people who are unbelievably poor but who are forced to take the only work that may be available allows the investors to reap profits by sheer volume.  That’s not an increase in actual productivity, only an increase of people forced into slavery.
Reading through this entire EO, we find that [national security] is exposed for the fraud that it is.
(2nd excerpt)……………….
(a) The functions of the President under subsections (b)(1)(A) (relating to review and consideration after notification),
(b)(1)(D) (relating to unilateral initiation of review and consideration), and
(m)(3)(A) (relating to inclusion in annual report and designation) of the Act are assigned to the Secretary of the Treasury.
(b) The Secretary of the Treasury shall perform the function of issuance of regulations under section 721(h) of the Act. The Secretary shall consult the Committee with respect to such regulations prior to any notice and comment and prior to their issuance. (end 2nd excerpt)
Note:
In this section, in preparation for the planned economic collapse, Paulson is given extraordinary powers as S.O.T.    Preparing the way for the wholesale divesting of American assets, Paulson is given the power to begin the selling off of infrastructure, financial and otherwise.  This will be accomplished by allowing his office to establish the rules and regulations under which this selling off will occur once the planned economic collapse takes place.
Having gotten ten months head start, and knowing what was ahead, allowed Paulson to begin negotiations far in advance.
Also note, every effort is made to avoid congress, or congressional approval.  The president claims [unilateral] authority to review and consider these sales of assets.
We must work to end all Executive Orders!  And to expunge all those from the past which are known to be unconstitutional.
President Bush on “stealing the people’s money’
1 Comment
President George Bush met with President Fernando Lugo of Paraguay at the White House today, October 27, 2008. The meeting was televised on CSPAN and was nothing short of boring and unimportant right up until Bush made a comment that almost made me choke.  In the middle of stuttering and stammering, in the middle of trying to sound as if he was remotely aware of anything coming out of his mouth, Mr. Bush actually said….
quote:
“There is nothing more discouraging than for a government of the people to steal their money”. George W. Bush 10-27-08 (end quote)
Say what???  He didn’t really say that, did he?  Yes he did!
How could this comment come out of the mouth of this man after the biggest theft of taxpayer’s funds ever to have occurred in the history of the United States in the form of the bailout of Wall Street crooks and thieves?
Discouraging?  I don’t think that term quite describes what the everyday American is feeling right at this moment.  Anger, immense frustration, thoroughly betrayed, disenfranchised, incredulous and for many of us…..dead broke might be better descriptions.
And stealing is exactly what Bush & Co. did.   Our congress voted against the massive public opposition to the bailout, then proceeded to hand Wall Street criminals what does amount to a blank check.  It wasn’t the blank check Bush had demanded, but close enough.
While corrupt CEO’s continue to walk away with more than 70 billion in stolen taxpayer funds, and AIG rips through 75 billion of the original 85 billion they were given before the big crisis, the middle class loses its retirement investments, have their homes foreclosed, lose their health insurance, lose their jobs, can’t get extended unemployment benefits, and are discounted totally by their elected representatives and senators.
Discouraged?  How about monumentally pissed off?  How about;   I can’t wait for you and your crooked administration to get out of town?  How about this….I hope every incumbent is voted out of office and that the new congress has enough sense and conscience to cut any retirement benefits payments, and health care payments, and benefits whatsoever you decided you were somehow entitled to while in office.
Don’t let the door hit ya on the way out…..
Who ran the government on 9/11? BRASSCHECK TV/video
1 Comment
The man in charge during 9/11? Clearly it wasn’t George Bush.
He was too busy reading a story book to school children, and then flying aimlessly from one part of the country to another.
Back in Washington DC, the contingency government was operating smoothly and according to plan.
Whose plan?
You’ll never guess.
Hint: It was a Bush, but not “W”
The body language says it all
By the turn of the last century, the Rockefeller family and its associates had a virtual monopoly over the oil and mineral resources of the world.
Not much has changed since.
Over the years, the group has created and/or taken control of a dizzying array of politicians, news media, academic institutions, think tanks and foundations to further its aims.
No one gets to be a serious candidate for President of the United States without being under their control and domination and all White Houses pick Rockefeller employees for its top slots.
Nixon had Henry Kissinger (a Rockefeller agent), Reagan had Bush Sr, and Bush Jr. has Dick Cheney. And on it goes.
Two noteworthy quotes from this video:
* “The (Rockefeller) family has a long history of strengthening the bonds of friendship throughout the Americas.”
In fact, the Rockefellers are despised by the people of Latin America.
There’s not a Latin American dictator that the family did not have friendly relations with.
If a dictator didn’t exist, the family provided one. Under the direction of Rockefeller employee Henry Kissinger, the US initiated and then supported a reign of terror in Chile after organizing the violent overthrow of its democratically elected president.
* “We are able to go about our business here in the Americas and throughout the world with confidence and security because we know the strength of this government stands behind us.”
Our business? What business exactly is that? And why should the strength of this or any government stand behind a private commercial enterprise?
To the public and the press, Cheney is a sneering, snarling mad dog.
In front of Rockefeller, he’s groveling and obsequious and Rockefeller rewards him accordingly with a pat on the head: “Good boy!”
Here’s the real power in the US. Just look at the body language. It could not be any plainer.
Excerpt from “American Drug War” …BRASSCHECK TV/video
1 Comment
Before the “War on Terror” the Bush
family declared another war.
Bush Sr. got the ball rolling on that one.
Bush Sr. was Ronald Reagan’s “Dick Cheney.”
He was the real president while the senile, but highly charismatic actor and lifelong associate of gangsters Ronald Reagan occupied the White House.
It was called “The War on Drugs.”
And just like the “War on Terror,” it was (and still is) a multi-billion dollar enterprise fighting shadows.
Guess who brought cocaine into the US by the planeload during the 1980s?
Excerpt from “American Drug War”
George Bush Sr. has been involved in this since Day One and was the driving force behind Iran-Contra.
Gary Webb, who broke this story, was demoted by his newspaper, the San Jose Mercury, and driven out of journalism by his “colleagues.”
The Washington Post, the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal and the San Francisco Examiner all ran multi-page stories personally discrediting him.
Webb later committed suicide by shooting himself in the head – twice.
Bush’s Iraq Madness…BRASSCHECK TV/video
Leave a comment
Another Bush administration accomplishment.
Joseph Stiglitz won the Noble Prize and he was president of the World Bank.
He has two simple messages:
1. The Iraq War will cost the US $3 TRILLION (minimum)
2. The war is one of the chief causes behind the destruction of the US (and the world’s) banking system.
This interview was recorded back in April, long before the seriousness of the banking problems were apparent and long before the multi-trillion dollar bailouts
The US put – and kept – a venal moron in the White House for eight years.
Using fraud, he launched a war that will cost US taxpayers at least $3 trillion.
As if that weren’t enough, the “creative financing”
he employed to pay for the war now threatens to destroy the US financial system.
Not just cause a recession, but destroy the US financial system.
This is not my opinion…it’s the opinion of the former president of the World Bank and a Nobel Prize winner in economics…
This was recorded over six months ago.
STATEMENT FROM SENATOR NORM COLEMAN ON HOUSE VOTE OF FINANCIAL STABILIZATION PLAN
September 29th, 2008 – Washington, D.C. – “Failure to address the financial crisis is not an option. Capital is the lifeblood of our financial system, and today that system is in danger of a complete meltdown. This crisis touches each and every Minnesotan. Jobs, retirement savings, and access to credit are all at stake. We must try again – these are times that call for statesmanship, not partisanship. I remain hopeful that we can act on a bipartisan compromise that addresses the crisis while at the same time protecting taxpayers and holding Wall Street accountable. We are facing an unprecedented financial crisis, and all of us, Democrats and Republicans, Congress and the Administration, must find a way forward for Minnesota families and our economy. Now is the time for action and I am hopeful that we can come together and pass a package that will have real reform – no golden parachutes, no blank check, and above all, protect the American taxpayer. Today, with our nation’s economic security on the line, we must put aside partisan politics and stick to the statesmanship and bipartisanship that we will need to weather this financial ‘perfect storm.’ Outright greed and mismanagement, coupled with an outdated financial regulatory system, have brought us to this point. Our obligation now, as Americans, not as Democrats or Republicans, is to come together and do the right thing, and to do it now. There will be no blank checks, no golden parachutes and no excessive executive compensation packages for Wall Street executives. The President has made it clear that this is a time of immense risk to our nation’s economic future, and we must rise to the challenge and meet it head on.”
I hope you find this information useful.  Please let me know if you have additional comments or questions.
Respectfully,
No oversight on Bailout plan
Leave a comment
If we have learned one thing over the past seven years, it is this:  Do not EVER trust the Bush administration when the question of executive power is at issue! From the Patriot Act to the authority to use force in Iraq to the need to pass a new FISA law, the Bush administration is always saying some kind of crisis necessitates urgent action, which inevitably leads to the administration being given — and abusing — unprecedented power.
This week, the Bush administration is at it again.  With the specter of a complete Wall Street collapse hanging over our heads, Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson is seeking 700 billion taxpayer dollars to bail out the financial industry.  While the American Freedom Campaign is not taking a position on the financial details contained in the Bush administration legislative proposal, we are outraged by one specific section related to executive branch accountability.
Section 8 of the legislation provides, “Decisions by the Secretary pursuant to the authority of this Act are non-reviewable and committed to agency discretion, and may not be reviewed by any court of law or any administrative agency.”
Yes, the Bush administration is asking Congress to give the Secretary of the Treasury the authority to spend $700 billion as he wishes, without any real oversight or accountability.  With respect to Congress, the proposed legislation requires the Secretary to merely submit reports about his activities starting three months after the first purchase of mortgage-related assets and semi-annually thereafter.  That’s like giving a gambling addict your life savings and asking him to send you a postcard from Las Vegas every once in a while.
If you believe, as we do, that it is time for Congress to actually serve its constitutional function and guide and oversee the activities of the executive branch*, please click on the following link to send an email to your members of Congress.
After you send your email to Congress, please be sure to forward this email along to friends and family or use the Tell-A-Friend option on our site.  It is critical that members of Congress hear from their constituents before they adopt any legislation related to this crisis.
Thanks for taking action.
Best,
Steve
* None other than former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich made a similar statement regarding the responsibilities of Congress earlier today.  This is what he posted on the Web site of the American Enterprise Institute:
“Congress has an obligation to protect the taxpayer.
“Congress has an obligation to limit the executive branch to the rule of law.
“Congress has an obligation to perform oversight.
“Congress was designed by the Founding Fathers to move slowly, precisely to avoid the sudden panic of a one-week solution that becomes a 20-year mess.”
We couldn’t agree more.
Congress Must Demand Bush and Cheney Resign
Congress Must Demand Bush and Cheney Resign
George Bush wants taxpayers to pay $700 billion to bail out Wall Street for its reckless investments in mortgage-backed securities. That’s on top of $800 billion for other recent bailouts, including A.I.G., Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Bear Stearns.
The current financial disaster is the direct result of the Bush-Cheney Administration’s 8-year policy of deregulation, corruption, and greed.
The Bush-Cheney Administration cannot be trusted to solve the massive problems they created. Before Congress gives the Bush Administration one dime of taxpayer money for financial bailouts, Congress must demand the immediate resignation of George Bush, Dick Cheney, and Henry Paulson and the appointment of Speaker Nancy Pelosi as President until our next President is sworn in on January 20, 2009.
WW3 and Global Economic Depression
by:  Kathryn Smith
Hello friends!
Sigh, and much worse. God this is such horrible news I hate to even break it. I am so sorry for any shock to your system or any dreadful feelings which come around this. But people must know, and we must act, with urgency too. In the article below, I have linked the movie showing Ron Paul’s testimony/whistle-blowing, plus drafted up an action plan which includes getting help from officials overseas to issue arrest warrants for Bush, Cheney and any member of Congress who votes “yes” for war funding based on lies. Please pass this on.
The plan so far is:Attack Iran with air missiles, despite knowledge that they halted their nuclear weapons program in 2003
Prevent any kind of retaliation by hitting them with nuclear weapons
Striking back with nuclear weapons in case Iran retaliates
Punishing other countries which support Iran
Ron Paul (in the video in this article) states his shock and dismay that members of Congress favor the plan, saying “if only we could nuke Iran. Nuke Iran, nuke Iran!” Ron Paul is concerned that such an attack will start WWIII and also create a global economic depression. Bad news.I suggest part of the action plan would be to write letters to the editor (college newsletter editors and local papers, if mainstream censors) disclosing our US Senator and Representative’s voting records to the public, then asking readers to vote any violators out of office. To also disclose those who vote favorably would be very important, to encourage/motivate them to keep going in the right direction while, especially, offering the masses hope. We as a nation are governed by depression: Hope is key to pro-activity.
I have more suggestions in the article linked below.
Please pass this on! Thank you for your help. We should all meet face-to-face with our Senators and Representatives and demand, not ask that they STOP the war funding. Remind them that we PAY them to implement the public will, not their unilateral wishes.
Because, dictatorships support the politicians and their agendas whereas democracies support those of the people.Thank you so much for your help. Article, video linked below.
Hoyer Tries to Sneak in Immunity for Tele-coms and Illegal Wiretaps
Wiretapping: Impeachment Not Immunity
House “Majority” Leader Steny Hoyer doesn’t understand the meaning of NO.
On March 14, we won a huge victory when the House voted 213-197 for a bill to strengthen FISA without providing immunity for Bush and the telcos who illegally spied on millions of Americans without a warrant. Thanks to your lobbying efforts – including over 58,000 petitions! – just six Bush Democrats voted for immunity.
Even Steny Hoyer voted against immunity. But Hoyer kept conspiring with Bush to sneak immunity through Congress when no one was watching. And on Friday, Hoyer quietly announced a new bill to provide retroactive immunity for past warrantless wiretapping and allow new wiretapping for six more years.
So it’s time for us to tell Congress once again that we will not tolerate warrantless wiretapping by George Bush or any other President, and we demand full accountability for George Bush through impeachment. Our last wiretapping petition sent over 58,000 emails to Congress – let’s see if we can double that number to over 100,000.
Wiretapping: Impeachment Not Immunity – Sign the Petition
whether you are a Democrat or not…..sign this petition to stop Steny Hoyer, A Bush Demcrat, from giving retro-active immunity to Bush and the Telecoms for illegal wiretapping.  Demand impeachment!
MSM Fails Again! No Reporting of Impeachment Resolution
Leave a comment
In what were nothing but minor blips on the national media radar, few comments were made nor any reporting done of Dennis Kucinich’s HRes 1258….35 Articles of Impeachment.  Of course they did report the latest celebrity mishaps, DUI’s, and a bunch of other uninformative and useless information, all neatly packaged and prepared for the new American Sensate Society.  In other words, a call for impeachment of the most corrupt administration and president in our history went by virtually without notice or fanfare.
Last week, a US Congressman submitted articles of impeachment for the most obvious of Bush’s crimes.
Was it reported? Did you see the footage on TV?
No, but here it is:
Yesterday’s vote and today’s steps forward
Yesterday, the House voted 251-166 to send the 35 Articles of Impeachment introduced on Monday to the House Judiciary Committee.
ImpeachBush.org is initiating a full-scale grassroots campaign to pressure the House Judiciary Committee to act on HRes 1258, the Articles of Impeachment for George W. Bush. It is now the Judiciary Committee’s obligation to hold impeachment hearings.
We’ve produced a new flyer, “Impeachment: How you can help make it a reality,” which you can download by clicking here. It is perfect for circulating to your friends, family members, classmates, co-workers, community members, and all other potential newcomers to the movement. If everyone on this list were to pass out the flyer to just ten people — and that wouldn’t take long at all — we could magnify our efforts dramatically.
By bringing the millions more people who already support impeachment into the movement, through phone calls, emails, door-to-door outreach, rallies, pickets and advertising, Congress will be forced to respond to the will of the people.
We’d especially like to thank everyone who has donated to the impeachment movement in the last few days. It’s your help that allows us to get these grassroots initiatives off the ground and running in no time. If you have not donated this week, please consider taking a moment to do so right now and click this link. If you have already given, we thank you for any additional contribution you can make.
President Bush Participates in Joint Press Availability with President Calderon of Mexico and Prime Minister Harper of Canada
Gallier Hall
New Orleans, Louisiana
“We talked about trade. Mexico, Canada and the United States made a bold decision in the early 1990s. Our countries decided to reduce our trade barriers through the North American Free Trade Agreement. That was a visionary move by previous leaders, a move that has benefitted all three of our countries — a lot. [Not the USA!] Trade has tripled. [ IN WHICH Direction!?]
 Our economies have grown by more than 50 percent. “ (WHERE?? NOT in the U.S.A.!)
“Now is not the time to renegotiate NAFTA or walk away from NAFTA. Now is the time to make it work better for all our people, and now is the time to reduce trade barriers worldwide.”
Joint Statement by President Bush, President Calderon, Prime Minister Harper  April 22, 2008
“The SPP complements the success of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), which has helped to triple trade since 1993 among our three countries to a projected $1 trillion in 2008. [Our trade DEFICIT proves that,eh?]
NAFTA has offered our consumers a greater variety of better and less expensive goods and services, [Where?]
encouraged our businesses to increase investment throughout North America, [NOT in the USA!]
and helped to create millions of new jobs [WITH the exception of the USA!] in  all three countries.
NAFTA is key to maintaining North America‘s [GLOBALISTS] competitive edge in an increasingly complex, fast-paced and connected global marketplace.
Who Is Ron Paul, Really?
18 Comments
I have been puzzled, for months now, at the apparent naivety of  of Ron Paul, regarding what is happening to our country, why and who is really behind it all.
In reading and hearing the statements this man makes about what is being done to the dollar, etc, one thing stands out glaringly, and that is that he never says who is really behind it and what their the motives are. In stead, like the media whores Lou Dobbs and Glenn Beck, he lays the blame at the “Bush administration’s” feet and acts as if they’re just bumbling idiots making “mistakes” when, in fact, this is a highly organized conspiracy to destroy the United States of America as we know and create a world government.
Lou Dobbs has railed against the North American Union for a few years, now, but to what end? Like Paul, he never says anything about the real culprits and just shakes his head in lamely pretentious disbelief, muttering that the Bush administration is simply a bunch of bumbling idiots acting insanely. With this ploy, shared by Glenn Beck, who does the same thing, he appears to be on our side and attacking the threat to our nation – without revealing anything substantive that could really damage the evil men behind it all. This is what Dr. Paul has been doing, also. My question is, is this deliberate or not?
I’ve come to three possible answers:
1. Ron Paul is terribly naive of the real culprits and their motives (not very likely).
2. Ron Paul knows who is really responsible and why they are doing this, but he  is afraid to say so, for fear of being assassinated.
3. Ron Paul is a Neocon stooge in disguise whose real job is to gain our confidence, but then do nothing. He is, like Dobbs and Beck, just playing a role, telling us what we want to hear and acting as if he’s outraged about the demise of our country, but only to the extent that he doesn’t cripple the New World Order in the process.
Will the real Ron Paul please stand up and DO something?!
Open Letter To George Bush by Marti Oakley
4 Comments
I have a few things I would like to say to you but I know if I write these thoughts down in a letter and mail them to you I will most likely be put on a watch list at the very least and probably will be hounded by my local FBI for daring to speak out.  More than likely, if this open letter to you is printed…….I will end up on a list anyway.  Even knowing that, I am determined to have my say.  What follows is my take on you, your presidency and the damage you have done to our once beautiful country.
To begin:  I personally will consider it an act of treason against the people of the sovereign United States for you to continue to participate in, contribute to, or to in any way engage  in furthering the Security & Prosperity Partnership.  The idea that you have scheduled the next summit meeting for this anti-American agreement, in New Orleans in April, on American soil for the benefit of you and your corporate friends and crooks is more than an insult. It is a direct violation of the Logan Act and is nothing less than treason.
By the way:  nothing in our Constitution gives you the right to enter into agreements of any kind without calling it what it is…a treaty.  You don’t call it a treaty because that would mean congress would have oversight…..and you sure don’t want that!
The failure of any of your three Attorney’s General to secure our border with Mexico against this illegal colonization and immigration, is a direct result of your intentions to merge the US, Canada and Mexico into one big continental country.
All three of your nefarious AG’s have failed to perform their duties as prescribed in the US Code mandating that it is their DUTY to secure our borders against any unlawful invasion.  They each failed to perform the duties of their office, and you have supported and encouraged this failure.
I find it more than strange that we are now going to have to suffer the indignity of foreign military on our soil, against us…… and we can now send our military into other countries to attack their populations, but we can’t use our own military to secure that border.
But this isn’t about foreign terrorists or mass illegal immigration is it?  This is about dismantling the Republic.  This is about coaxing and conning people into believing an imaginary enemy is at their door and that unless they give up everything this country was founded on, the boogey man will get them!  This is all about transforming a once great nation of free people into one of oppression and government control for the benefit of the select few.  This is about terrorizing the American public into compliance. It is the American people that you fear most of all.
Ordinary citizens are now “domestic combatants”, “domestic terrorists”.  Why?  Because they object to your un-American policies.  We have watch lists, no fly lists, specially designated nationals lists…black lists of all kinds.  And the names of American citizens who have never committed any crime are being added to these lists daily.  But for some reason we can’t find Osama.  We can’t locate and deport illegals back to their homes.  We can’t enforce immigration laws.  But we can sure run down American citizens and data mine every possible piece of information on them.
Under the threat of another attack (you seem to be the only one threatening) our phone calls are listened to, our email is read, our web searches tracked, our snail mail opened and read, our personal business is tracked, our medical information is logged, our homes can be searched without warrant or warning, our assets frozen, and now HSD wants to enact REAL ID which is nothing more than a national ID which they are forbidden to ever establish according to their charter.  You want us chipped, bio-scanned, facially imprinted, fingerprinted, and you want us to go to a cashless system so that only those with the ID can conduct any transaction……and only if you say its ok.
The stage is set isn’t it?  The Executive Orders granting yourself expanded and unconstitutional powers, the signing statements putting yourself above the law, the presidential directives laying the groundwork for martial law and suspension of the Constitution and Bill of Rights; the FEMA camps for dissidents… these things are all in place and just waiting for you to declare a national emergency……and to declare yourself as perpetual dictator.
In all of this, the greatest disappointment has been the refusal of congress on either side of the isle to act to defend the people of the United States from you.  I personally believe that you, Cheney, Rice, and many others in this illegitimate administration pose a greater threat to the safety of this nation than any foreign terrorist ever could.
It is you and your cronies who have done the damage.  It is you who have started wars of aggression, who lies pathologically, who seems intent on destroying our nation.  It is you who subverts our laws, disregards our Constitution and who is intent on taking away our liberties.  No foreign terrorist could have done this.
It is you and the terrorists in your administration who pose the greatest threat.  It is you we need to fear.  And we need to treat you as we would any other terrorist:
You should be held without communication at a secret prison and tortured until you said whatever we wanted you to say whether it was true or not.  We need to seize all your assets and incarcerate your wife and children.  And don’t think you would have any rights either or that you will get a fair trial.  After all, we’re not going to tell you what you’re charged with or allow you to see any evidence that we might have against you and you will not be allowed to mount a defense of any kind.
In the end, if we haven’t water boarded, electrocuted, or beaten you to death, or permanently screwed up your mental faculties with the use of psychotropic drugs that we may use to experiment on you, we may let you go.  But then again….maybe not.   The dogs may be hungry.  And besides, the usual term of incarceration for terrorism is life without parole if you don’t die “accidentally” while in prison.  I have to wonder if those laws and provisions sound quite so good to you now?
I would like to think that the election in November will bring a much needed reversal of the illegitimate laws and corruption that have defined your administration.  But, I know this won’t happen.  Regardless of who supposedly wins that election, that person will simply continue the destruction you have begun.  And I also know that no one will be allowed to take that office without first swearing that they will continue what you have started.  (We don’t have hacker enabled electronic voting machines for nothing.  I guess you would know more about those than I would.)
Knowing that you are a megalomaniac and totally without conscience, I am sure you think that history will report you as some great leader with a vision.  I think history, if it isn’t censored to a great extent, will report you as the worst president ever in our history.  If not the worst, then assuredly the most despised.  The only person I can think of which will be held in even less regard would be Cheney.
Marti Oakley
These are just some of my observations.  I have many more and would gladly share them with you……but I know your aversion to having to actually deal with or communicate with the non-elite.  That, and if you cared what I or anyone else out here thought, none of this would be happening anyway.
No Real Choices
Leave a comment
As the country prepares to release a sigh of relief at the prospect of George W Bush finally leaving office, I think I will continue to hold my breath.  This has been, by almost all accounts the worst presidency in our history but few of us were willing to stand up and demand that he be removed from office.   By now, we have all realized that congress has neither the will nor the courage to impeach and then prosecute this entire administration.
So what did our laziness and inattention buy us?  As a nation we stand poised on the edge of losing our sovereignty to the North American Union.  Our own government is working actively to dismantle our Republic and replace it with a dictatorship, replete with internment camps for dissenters.  We have stood by while one law after another has been passed that directly infringed on our civil liberties and rights, and have been compliant accomplices in wars of aggression against other sovereign nations.
We have become a nation of cowards.  Even when we, as a nation, have been shown the lies and deceptions used to promote these wars we cowered in fear:  better to fight them “over there” than here.  The problem is that the people we are warring with never attacked us.  So just who is it that we are so fearful of in Iraq?  We don’t know.  The government either can’t or won’t identify who this enemy was in Iraq that made us attack them.
We are threatened continually with another attack if we don’t allow the government to illegally spy on us, to detain us without charges, to rifle through our personal business and to compile dossiers on each of us as they prepare for martial law.  And, like the dutiful sheeple we are, many of us exclaim, “Well!  If you haven’t done anything wrong you shouldn’t mind if they do that”.  Its precisely because I haven’t done anything wrong that I do mind.
I find it strange that the only place threats of attacks ever come from are from our own government.  Could it be that in some perverse way they are telling us that they will attack us if we don’t comply?  After all, these threats are always so vague and even when they do claim to thwart an attempted attack, we never really quite know who, where, how or when.  We’re only told that the attack was thwarted……..only no one seems to know anything about it but them!
I would like to think that the election of a new president from any quarter would bring relief and a restoration of our constitution and bill of rights.  It won’t.  We are given choices of whom to vote for, but only choices based on pre-selected candidates that will continue the destruction of our country.  Which should give you a clue as to why Ron Paul is misrepresented in the polls and why his name was crossed off the ballots in New York.
In the end, we have no real choices.  No matter who is elected, that person will simply continue with the plans to merge us with Mexico and Canada, and life as we have known will change forever.  Not one of the candidates who will appear on the ballot will do one thing to restore our government to one governed by the people.
In the end, the fact that we have no real choices is our own fault.  It was our apathy and laziness, our inattention to the monster that our government had become that allowed any of this to happen.  We have only ourselves to blame.
We’re All In This Together
Leave a comment
I originally wrote this article as the closing editorial for December 2007, for what was then an email version of the PPJ Gazette.  It seems very relevant considering the state we are in as a country today. Current count has 33 Republicans from both the House and Senate voluntarily leaving office.  As I predicted in this editorial….something big was coming down the pipe and these rats knew what was coming.
Rats Deserting the Ship
The End of a Nightmare Year and a 2008 Forecast
The year 2007 will most likely go down as one of the most stressful for all Americans. It seems that at every turn we have been battling an ever increasing separation between “We The People” and our government.
My instincts tell me that something big and awful is coming down the pipe and those in the inner circles of D.C. are fully aware of what that is. Career politicians are resigning, or not seeking re-election in record numbers from the Republican party. This is the same party that rubber-stamped every rights robbing piece of legislation they could find; that still blocks any attempts to end the war; and created one of the worst economic disasters ever in our history. We are now, thanks to those neo-cons, the largest debtor nation ever in the history of the world.
My suspicions actually began after (R) Conrad Burns lost his Montana senatorial seat to (D) John Tester in 2006. Burns, a virulent neo-con did something totally out of character after losing by a slim margin. He conceded and walked away. In fact, in every instance where a Republican was unseated there was no objection or protestation. In fact, these former office holders couldn’t get out of town fast enough.
After the 2006 election several other strange things happened. Nancy Pelosi, the new and first female speaker of the house, immediately announced that impeachment was off the table. This announcement came with the full knowledge that the Democrats had won both houses at least in part because voters expected them to impeach Bush. This was perceived, and is, a massive betrayal of voters.
Next, Jon Conyers who had been waging an internet war for impeachment and who had built an extensive site dedicated to this very thing, suddenly decided that he would not move forward with his initiative.
In this last year we have had to fight off repeated attempts to give amnesty to illegal immigrants even though the majority of Americans have made it very clear that they are against amnesty and want our laws enforced. Although this issue in particular, crossed party lines, it was inevitably portrayed as “ALL Republicans are against it, and ALL Democrats are for it”. Considering that 78% of Americans are opposed to amnesty in any form, I think we could safely say it is not a matter of party affiliation.
The Democrats have not moved to repeal or rescind even one of the Executive Orders or legislative slights of hand that expanded the power of the presidency. Instead they are busy throwing their support behind yet another piece of legislation S. 1959 that will quickly be converted to use against those of us who opt to exercise our constitutional right to dissent.
We have had one investigation after another and the only positive thing that came from that to this point is that Alberto Gonzales, one of the most corrupt AG’s we’ve ever suffered, resigned.
We have endured countless hours wasted in both houses passing non-binding (meaning nonsensical) resolutions against the war, and voting to declare the Iranian Guard as a terrorist group. Considering that we are using our precious military to attack non threatening countries in an effort to gain control of their oil, what is to stop other countries from declaring our military a terrorist organization and a threat to world peace?
We stood by silently as yet another attorney general was sworn in who claims not to know weather water boarding is torture or not. The committee vote that allowed his nomination to go forward was facilitated by all Republicans on the committee and two Democrats who caved in and decided that since they themselves stood little chance of being strapped to a board and tortured, what difference did it make?
Few of us stood up and spoke out when two of our border agents, Ramos and Compean, were sentenced to ten years or more in prison for shooting a drug smuggler in the butt. And fewer of us said a word when Homeland Security had to admit that they lied in order to procure a conviction and that the Mexican government was instrumental in their prosecution of the agents.
We watched in disbelief as Scooter Libby’s sentence was commuted before it was even passed down. Not one Democrat or Republican stood up to make any real objection.
Karl Rove left the White House when the possibility of being prosecuted on any number of issues looked as though it could become a reality. Leaving as he did, allowed him to legally delete more than three million emails associated with his office. In other words, evidence was destroyed. And there isn’t a thing we can do about it.
It is said that just prior to a major tsunami animals in the area will start running to higher ground seeming to know instinctively what is coming and that they must flee in order to survive. My advice is to look at the rats running from our government. If it isn’t high level cabinet members, its senators and representatives who are taking flight.
Dick Cheney is divesting himself of American investments and currency and moving into foreign markets. The Bush’s have the Crawford ranch up for sale (along with that high tech command center that taxpayers paid for so Bush could run the country from the ranch) and the Bush clan is looking at buying 22,000 acres in Argentina.
There is a tsunami coming for America but those who created it will be safely on higher ground when it hits. Maybe when we are embroiled in a battle for survival for our own nation we will finally dispense with the right vs. left paradigm and realize that we are all in this together and that what religion we are or aren’t, who says they have more morals or better values, who is more patriotic, will cease to be part of the dialogue. Maybe then we can get down to being fully engaged Americans with only one goal in mind: Preserving our sovereignty and re-establishing our nation as the once great country it was.
Marti Oakley
