New Years Wish: No More Morally Superior Phonies

  • My new year’s resolution is to expose the hypocrisy of the morally superior politicians whose election strategy was to pretend they cared about crafting policies in the country’s best interest.
  • Multimillionaire Nancy (“We have to pass the bill to find out what’s in it” and if you disagree with me you are sexist) Pelosi is safe in her Napa Wine Country or San Francisco home, far from the drug addicts, dirty needles, feces, gang members and homeless lining the streets of San Francisco. Her voters may be too uninformed or willfully blind to see what she and her ilk have done to this formerly beautiful city. Sadly, the nation will be forced to suffer from her policies that reward scofflaws, patronize the poor, create dependency, and are designed to hustle votes.
  • Because their lives are so much more precious than ours, the power brokers have their private security and the medical care of their choice. They also have no shame.

My new year’s resolution is to expose the hypocrisy of the morally superior politicians whose election strategy was to pretend they cared about crafting policies in the country’s best interest.

Take “the wall” on our southern border. Ignoring the opinion of the border patrol agents (51 percent of whom are Hispanic) that it would “without a doubt” be a helpful tool, Nancy Pelosi and her people claimed it would be ineffective in stopping everybody. That’s like the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) stopping its flu vaccination campaign because the vaccine is only 40-60 percent effective.

And sanctuary state California Senator Kamala Harris was quick to the gun control microphone when some people were shot in a brawl but not a peep out of her when a community is in mourning after its brown-skinned legal immigrant policeman is gunned down at a traffic stop by a twice arrested illegal immigrant. Bean bags vs. AK-47s

Another Border Patrol agent on the Arizona border was shot and killed by Mexican drug smugglers last Tuesday. Of the eight attackers, four are in custody and a fifth is under surveillance by Border Patrol Blackhawk helicopters as he tries to make his way back to the Mexican border.

BP Agent Brian Terry was part of a BORTAC team (for border tactical unit) tracking armed drug smugglers 15 miles northwest of Nogales, Ariz., (and only three miles west of Interstate 19) when they were attacked with automatic weapons fire. The area is well-known as a major drug-smuggling corridor, and the smugglers are known to frequently be armed with AK-47s and other long rifles.

Here’s the part Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and Border Patrol management are trying to hide: Border Patrol Agent Terry and the BORTAC team were under standing orders to always use (“non-lethal”) bean-bag rounds first before using live ammunition. When the smugglers heard the first rounds, they returned fire with real bullets, and Agent Terry was killed in that exchange. Real bullets outperform bean bags every time.

The larger, ugly truth Napolitano and senior managers in the Border Patrol want to hide is that the rules of engagement and inadequate weaponry of the Border Patrol place the lives of all agents at grave risk. The National Border Patrol Council, which represents over 15,000 field agents, believes the border is too dangerous for officers to patrol without body armor, armored vehicles and automatic weapons.

The Zetas say that attacks like this one is occurring frequently along the U.S. Mexican Border he said a Zetas patrol was ambushed by a large contingent of American vigilantes killing two of his solders and wounding three others.

Drug cartels threaten to kill a U.S. Border Patrol agent over Independence Day weekend

According to reliable sources at the U.S. Border Patrol, a new threat has been issued by the Mexican drug cartels to kill an agent along the southern border sometime over the 4th of July weekend.
The killing would be in retaliation for the shooting of an alleged teenage human smuggler at the Texas border in June. The Border Patrol agent, who was being attacked with numerous rocks, shot at his attackers in self-defense and has been taken off front-line duty; however the Border Patrol agency is standing by the well-revered agent. Recently a friend sent me an article about a Wisconsin politician who was apparently unaware of the location of the great state of Arizona. After considering what this really meant (instead of taking for granted that the apparently this individual is willing like the majority of politicians to jump on whatever hot topic political bandwagon happens by), I wondered how one could not be aware of the fact that Arizona does share a border with Mexico and does have a small immigration issue with undocumented illegal non-certified “people of Geographically challenged birth events”. U.S. Troops on the border: What does it mean?

While Washington appears to be taking action on the border by sending U.S. troops, the rules of engagement don’t apply because there are none. The U.S. Border Fire report has learned that the number to be sent is unknown and that the few being sent are just going to be deployed to desk jobs and will only help out in logistics. These details only surfaced after President Obama received a call from the Mexican President. More

While our Border Patrol and law enforcement agencies along the southern border are attacked on a daily basis by drug cartels and others, our government sits idly by and does virtually nothing. Jim DeMint’s recent attempt to pass legislation to finish the fence was rejected; this while American citizens are kidnapped, tortured, harassed and terrorized and murdered in the war that is escalating on our southern border.

Eric Holder, our current Attorney General, like all his predecessors, has refused to perform his duty under Title 8 of the USC and defend the border.  Instead our border agents and law enforcement are prohibited from taking any action in defense of that border, even as they and the communities around them are attacked in life threatening situations.

The State Department and other government talking heads, along with a dutifully controlled and compliant MSM (for morons) continues its propaganda about how the cartels are armed with weapons supposedly purchased from gun dealers along the border or, that they are being bought off the streets elsewhere in the US and shipped down to Mexico. What MSM won’t tell you about the rancher killed in Arizona by a cartel assassin

As you know, one of our local ranchers, Bob Krentz, an R-CALF member, was murdered in Douglas, AZ, two weeks ago. His funeral is tomorrow. I received three messages from different officers within the Rangers and law enforcement. Yesterday afternoon I talked to another rancher near us who is a friend of ours and whose great grandfather started their ranch here in 1880. These are good people. He told me what really happened out at the Krentz ranch and what you won’t read in the papers. The Border Patrol is afraid of starting a small war between civilians here and the drug cartels in Mexico . More

Gotta love these smucks who write this stuff, they are getting smoother.  Bottom line is that once passed the bill sets into motion an unknown quagmire of consensus building with respect to small direct market operations, places the university extension services as a educational venue. The same bunch that has misdirected farmers for generations and has led to the ultimate demise of this country’s ability to be self sustaining in food production. The selection of these group members will certainly be based on arse kissing individuals who would willingly sell their souls to the devil for a place at the stakeholder’s table.  More

Bush springs drug dealers, leaves border agents to rot
Ramos-Compean supporter asks: ‘Why is the president dug in so deep?’

President Bush today added a convicted methamphetamine dealer, a cocaine distributor and two marijuana suppliers to the list of drug operators he’s pardoned while in office, bringing his total of drug suppliers who have been pardoned or had their sentences commuted to 36.

He’s also pardoned more than a dozen thieves, seven embezzlers, an arsonist, several mail thieves, a man who violated the Neutrality Act and eight Thanksgiving turkeys, but there’s been no clemency for U.S. Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean, who were convicted of shooting at a fleeing drug smuggler.

Andy Ramirez of Friends of the Border Patrol, who long has been involved in the Ramos-Compean case, said the questions just start piling up.

“First and foremost is the question that has to be asked, ‘Why is the president dug in so deep’ on Ramos and Compean?” Ramirez said. “Look at how many members of Congress have sent him letters, and have held hearings.

“You really have got to start to wonder … does this doper (in the Ramos-Compean case) lead to somebody really big?” he said.

Joe Loya, the father-in-law of Ramos, said he, his daughter and grandchildren were “devastated” by word that Ramos and Compean had been denied clemency on the latest list of presidential actions.

“We were praying for a miracle. We just don’t understand where the connection is when drug smugglers are getting pardons and commuted sentences, yet two agents who are not criminals, who were just doing their jobs, are in isolation,” he told WND by telephone as he traveled to visit his son-in-law in jail on Christmas Eve.

George Bush could redeem himself,” he continued. “Ninety-five percent of our support is coming from Republicans. He certainly has nothing to lose.

“He could make millions of people feel good about it, or he could make one person (prosecutor) ,” Loya said. “We hope he will do the right thing.”

Bush today released a list of 19 more pardons or commutations. Included was a commutation of the life prison term for Reed Raymond Prior of Iowa, convicted of dealing methamphetamine. Pardons were handed out to William Alvis III of Ohio for cocaine distribution, Steve Doyle Cavender of Florida and Marie Elena Eppens of Washington for distributing marijuana.

Prior had admitted having methamphetamine with plans to distribute it following three prior felony drug convictions. Bush has approved 10 commutations and about 200 pardons in his two terms, about half the number granted by Bill Clinton.

Ramos and Compean, meanwhile, are serving 11- and 12-year prison sentences, respectively, for shooting an illegal alien drug dealer while he smuggled nearly 750 pounds of marijuana across the border. They were convicted of assault, discharge of a weapon in the commission of a crime of violence and deprivation of civil rights.

Send a FedEx letter to the president asking him to help Ramos and Compean.

And sign WND’s petition urging President Bush to free U.S. Border Patrol Agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean.

U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton’s office gave the smuggler, Osbaldo Aldrete-Davila, full immunity from prosecution for agreeing to serve as the government’s star witness and testify against the border agents. A ruling, from the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of appeals, affirmed all convictions except for tampering with an official proceeding, which it vacated and remanded for resentencing.

While Aldrete-Davila was waiting to testify against the agents, he also was involved in another drug smuggling case, but that information was withheld from jurors in the Ramos-Compean trial.

Eventually, the smuggler was sentenced for the second case, but his sentence was considerably shorter than that of the agents who tried to halt his activities in the earlier episode.

Ramos’ attorney, David Botsworth, said a petition for writ of certiorari was filed with the U.S. Supreme Court and docketed Dec. 11. The government has the right to file a response should it choose to do so by early January.

“It’s obviously an astronomical uphill battle to get review in the Supreme Court,” Botsworth said. “I think the issues are worthy of their consideration.”

Send a FedEx letter to the president asking him to help Ramos and Compean.

And sign WND’s petition urging President Bush to free U.S. Border Patrol Agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean.

We have few chances to become actively involved in protecting our country from further invasion.  This is one of those.
