Because of the severe technical issues we experienced last week, we had to cut the show off.  Kathy and Frank return this week to talk about their documentary and the Whistleblower’s involved in it.

Our guests this evening are Kathy Cole and Frank Vetro

Whistleblower Productions, LLC

The film debuted at the National Whistleblower Summit in Washington D.C. Whistleblower Productions was recognized for its role in making the film and Kathy spoke on the filmmaker panel as the documentary filmmaker.  She also spoke alone on a panel titled “Unleashing the Power of Your Story”. The documentary received an award for its content, and because it was created by a whistleblower (Kathy &Whistleblower Productions).

Meanwhile in June Kathy met with a NY politician who referred her to the owner of a production company.  Unfortunately a meeting was held but Kathy and Whistleblower Productions was excluded.

FRANK VETRO is an Italian American residing in eastern Long Island. His family came to the United States so their children could have the education and opportunity they never had. In living out his family’s American dream he pursued a career in education. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 1995 and began his career teaching biology and chemistry.

In 1998 he earned his Master of Arts degree, and from 1998-2000 he compiled 90 additional post graduate credits in educational pedagogy. Frank furthered his education, graduating in 2003 with a Specialist Diploma and certifications as a School Business Administrator and School District Administrator. He quickly advanced to middle and high school principal in Hampton Bays, NY. His future was bright and promising. In February 2006 it all came to a screeching halt.

After reporting potential child abuse in an educational setting, Frank was retaliated against. He was arrested for a crime he didn’t commit, thrown in jail, and pilloried in the press. As he was barely clinging to his career and life, he was subpoenaed to be a witness in a discrimination case against his employing school district. His superintendent warned him not to appear but he obeyed the subpoena in the spirit of justice and due process. Because of this Frank was retaliated against once again. This time it was a fatal blow. He lost his career, couldn’t find employment for many years, and forced from his home. Forced to act as his own attorney from the backseat of his car he uncovered the disturbing truth about his arrest.

He has since fought his way back and recreated his life. Frank is once again a school principal. Ironically he works with the family and criminal courts, and public school districts in Suffolk County, Long Island. He educates the underprivileged, youths in crisis, and others going through the judicial system, in need of a second chance.

He authored “Standing on Principal” in hopes of spurring change and preventing future injustices. His book garnered national attention and lead to his two radio shows, “Standing on Principal” and “The Frank Vetro Show”. He is a founder and managing partner at WLINY radio.

Frank serves on a board for a not for profit organization in New Jersey and Manhattan. The mission is to promote racial harmony and assist youths in the growth of positive values. He also volunteers with other organizations, helping those who are retaliated against and/or wrongfully accused/convicted of crimes by raising awareness and seeking legislative change.

Frank has interviewed nationwide, held book signings, and contributed to newsletters. His public speaking has captivated audiences.
