A Ship's Compass 1No matter who wins the election in November and whether it is rigged or not, we the people of America still have a major job to do and it is all dependent upon not how we vote but it all comes down to what is within our own selves and what we believe in. Therefore, the integrity and the character of a person needs to be fashioned though careful choices and finding their own way through the storms of life.

Yet, how can this be accomplished?

In the last 50 or more years there has been a major shift in the norms of the country to where political correctness, philosophical theories and man made principles have entered into the equation, but has this been for the people’s benefit or ended up being harmful?

When considering more civil unrest and lawlessness and numerous immoral factors that come into play, there are now world views and secular ideological positions which are rapidly bringing America down a wide road which is actually leading to sudden destruction. The people may look to new leadership and government for direction in November, but will that leadership be based upon a solid foundation or a political philosophy such as progressivism?

There is nothing progressive about the moral decline which has now engulfed America, yet this is currently the product of the political aspirations of a minority elite who has chosen to reject rational and traditional norms of a nation that was founded upon a rock and one nation under God. While a good many people in America have unknowingly strayed away from this which is the truth and God’s will for their lives, they sadly are unaware of the eminent danger which accompanies their own flawed decisions by following other secular voices which encourages immorality to the 10th degree.

It is not only extremely contrary to God’s Word but those decisions will invariably affect one’s ability to think clearly and effectively so that they are unable to navigate through life and a world that is falling apart, and this is consequently do to the lack of that moral compass which is fully based upon God’s Word and his foundation which is found in the Holy Bible.  His Word is clear with regard to the way all people should act and live, but this truly cannot be accomplished without fully surrendering and trusting in God who will then steer the shipand renew a right spirit within.  Consequently, when we fervently seek him, God will gracefully bestow upon us those many blessings that come from above.

Apart from an election that is looked to as a nation’s saving grace, there is still only one way that a country may still end up being secure and that happens to be when that people of that country, truly place their hope in God.

Finally, here is part of the prepared text that President John F. Kennedy would have delivered as a speech in Dallas, Texas, if he had not been shot on that fateful day.

We in this country, in this generation are by destiny rather than choice the watchmen on the walls of world freedom. We ask, therefore, that we may be worthy of our power and responsibility, that we may exercise our strength with wisdom and restraint, and that we may achieve in our time and for all time the ancient vision of peace on earth, goodwill toward men. That must always be our goal, and the righteousness of our cause must always underlie our strength.”

For as was written long ago, “Except the Lord keep the city, the watchmen waketh but in vain.”
