lagemannDr. Linda Lagemann joins us to talk about the shift from using psychotropic drugs on children, to using electroshock on them instead.

The FDA is preparing to list electroshock as “safe” to use on children, These barbaric treatments have been categorized as a high risk but apparently the publics growing awareness of the severe side effects of brain damaging psychotropic drugs, and the growing outrage over their use which in many cases is done by force,  has softened the FDA’s view on electroshock.  Drugs cause permanent damage that can be traced back to the use of these deadly drugs.  Electroshock, on the other, will have the effect of performing a lobotomy.

Dr. Lagemann is featured in the independent documentary “American Addict 2: The Big Lie”

logo CCHRBRIEF BIO: Dr. Linda Lagemann [pronounced “log uh men”] is a former licensed clinical psychologist with 23 years experience in the field. After observing that the “mental health” field had become dominated by psychiatric labels and drugs and was doing more harm than help, she closed her practice.  She now devotes herself full-time to getting laws passed to protect people’s rights and to informing people about the disability caused by psychiatric drugs and electroshock. She has a particular focus on protecting children, who have become the fastest growing market for the psychiatric industry.

Dr. Lagemann is a Commissioner for Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) (www.cchrint.org).  She is also an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) in the Department of Medicine (3-time recipient of the UCSF Annual Teaching Excellence Award).

Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) (www.cchrint.org and www.cchr.org) is the oldest and largest international mental health watchdog. It was founded in 1969 by the Church of Scientology and the late Dr. Thomas Szasz. It is a non-religious 501(c)3 that has worked with our Congress and the governments of many other countries to get passed over 150 protections for citizens. In addition to working on legislation, CCHR produces educational materials.
