“Now there are those who still insist that they are beyond the reach of the police state because they have done nothing wrong and have nothing to fear. To those sanctimonious few, secure in their delusions, let this be a warning: the danger posed by the American police state applies equally to all of us”

untitledvvvFor those of us who have managed to survive 2014 with our lives intact and our freedoms hanging by a thread, it has been a year of crackdowns, clampdowns, shutdowns, showdowns, shootdowns, standdowns, knockdowns, putdowns, breakdowns, lockdowns, takedowns, slowdowns, meltdowns, and never-ending letdowns.

We’ve been held up, stripped down, faked out, photographed, frisked, fracked, hacked, tracked, cracked, intercepted, accessed, spied on, zapped, mapped, searched, shot at, tasered, tortured, tackled, trussed up, tricked, lied to, labeled, libeled, leered at, shoved aside, saddled with debt not of our own making, sold a bill of goods about national security, tuned out by those representing us, tossed aside, and taken to the cleaners.

As I point out in my book A Government of Wolves: The Emerging American Police State, we’ve had our freedoms turned inside out, our democratic structure flipped upside down, and our house of cards left in a shambles. More

Preventive Psychiatry E-Newsletter # 446

“Today, there are many studies showing that long-term high-dosage neuroleptics can actually result in such severe structural brain changes, that these changes can include shrinkage of the parts of our brain associated with high-level cognition. “_______________________________________________

Any serious debate in 2007 ( and still being argued in 2014) about the topic of involuntary psychiatric procedures ought to include the following fact:

drugs_deesFor years, many studies have indicated that long-term high-dosage neuroleptic (also known as antipsychotic) psychiatric drugging may induce structural brain damage. This damage can include actual shrinkage of areas of the brain associated with higher-level functions, what makes us human.

In his commentary, “England’s New Mental Health Act Represents Law Catching Up with Science,” Anthony Maden demands that “ethical advocates of a change to capacity-based legislation are under an obligation to deal with the science.”

However, I note that proponents of involuntary psychiatric procedures seldom explain clearly to colleagues, the public, patients or their families, the full implications of these procedures. It is undeniable that involuntary psychiatric procedures often involve psychiatric drugging, and that neuroleptic psychiatric drugs are often used in such circumstances. More

“We have brought torture, cluster bombs, depleted uranium, innumerable acts of random murder, misery, degradation and death to the Iraqi people and call it ‘bringing freedom and democracy to the Middle East’. – Harold Pinter

10150533_736557003032115_475730777_nBritish playwright Harold Pinter won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2005. His powerful acceptance speech exposed the United States for its fascist, imperialist policies since World War II. His speech (delivered three years before he died in 2008) was an important glimpse into – and a reasonable summary of — the innumerable documentable US imperialistic crimes that have been secretly facilitated by our multinational corporations, our national security apparatus, our military leaders, our wealthy elites and the craven politicians who are beholden to those four realities that have shaped American foreign policy over the past 60 years.

True American patriots, if they really love the United States, must be honest about the dishonorable, dark side of their nation’s history, a history that the rest of the world, especially Pinter, sees so clearly. Understanding that history will clear up any mystery about why the rest of the world fears and hates us. More

The cost of a doctor visit—when paid directly—has not outpaced inflation. The cost of health insurance, however, has increased to something in the range of a mortgage payment. Americans need relief.”

censored doctCongress just passed—without even reading it—a trillion dollar spending bill. The Continuing Resolution (CR) allows the government to keep spending in the absence of a budget. The “omnibus” package—“omni” means everything in the kitchen sink—adds in 1,600 pages of pork all mixed together. No amendments, no extractions: Take it all at once or shut down the government.

Obviously, congressmen who voted for it don’t live in the real world of mortgages, food budgets, and car payments, where real Americans actually have to pay their bills. More

popuGovernments move billions of people toward preselected goals. How do they perform the task? For two millenniums earthlings have been mentally guided without much awareness of how this is performed. It is time to come out of the Mental Mush Age, and into Cognitive Conscious of the great controlling factor in our lives. It is good to use logic and to think for oneself.

This author holds degrees in sciences, as well as public education certification. Also, a short three year tenure of teaching inside the Catholic parochial school was both amazing, rewarding, and eye-opening about the huge influence that controls the minds of Americans. Combined with research into the legal history of the United States, there is a “voila” moment about how we are controlled, and it is global. More

1907_592480940779533_1288754931_nLate Friday, a federal judge dismissed a civil claim filed against George W. Bush and other high-ranking officials regarding their conduct in planning and waging the Iraq War, and immunized them from further proceedings.

“This is an early Christmas present to former Bush Administration officials from the federal court,” Inder Comar of Comar Law said. Comar brought the claim on behalf of an Iraqi refugee and single mother, Sundus Shaker Saleh. “This was a serious attempt to hold US leaders accountable under laws set down at the Nuremberg Trials in 1946. I am very disappointed at the outcome.” More

“I have the honor to inform you that the thirty-eight Indians and half-breeds ordered by you for execution were hung yesterday at Mankato at 10 a.m. Everything went off quietly and the other prisoners are well secured.” Respectfully, H. H. SIBLEY, Brigadier-General.”

______________________________________________

On the first day of Christmas, 1862, 38 Lakota warriors that had participated in the so-called “Sioux Uprising” were hanged at Mankato, Minnesota, without benefit of a jury trial. The hangings were considered to end of the brief US-Dakota War of 1862.  The mass executions had been approved long distance by President Abraham Lincoln. To his credit, Lincoln, who had very little idea of what had happened in the Minnesota territory, had commuted the death sentences of several hundred other native men who had been captured after the final battle.

The hundreds of imprisoned native survivors, along with the thousands of other tribal members who had not been hanged that day had also – unbeknownst to them at the time – been condemned to exile from their homeland, a slower kind of death, for they were denied their liberty and they were imprisoned, starved to death and ultimately banished from their ancestral home to concentration camps on desolate land that the US government had no use for. The tradition of hunting and gathering that had sustained the First Nations for thousands of years was denied them and then, to make matters even worse, the later discovery of gold on some of that reservation land would result in yet another round of treaty-breaking and ethnic cleansing.so that white European immigrants could occupy and exploit their land. Much of that exploitation was for the economic benefit of land speculators like the future Governor of Minnesota, Alexander Ramsey. More
