Government to government plan to seize control of all foods

Shortly after “Dirty Harry” Reid passed the fake food safety bill in here in the US, with his one unanimous vote, C-36 passed two weeks later in Canada.  Both bills were an outright attack on individual rights and property rights as both governments claim they now have the authority to unilaterally decide who can grow, process and sell foods and under what conditions.  And, just as here in the US, those lawmakers responsible for this attack on liberty claimed they did so because that was what the public demanded and was begging for.

Actually, in both countries just the opposite was true; the public was demanding that these bills not be passed. Dirty Harry claimed that more than 10,000 people had begged him to pass the bill while never mentioning that more than a million had objected. But in neither case was food safety and security the real intent of the legislation.  Both the US and Canada were handing agricultural production in all its forms, over to international organizations and multi-national corporations.

A sample of the unconstitutional restrictions included in bill C-36 include:

– abolishing protection from trespass, a court-ordered warrant, and the need for court-supervised search and seizure;

– on ONLY suspicion, health inspectors with the aid of police can invade any location in the country, seize and confiscate goods deemed unsafe (i.e. health supplements) and violate all constitutional rights of all parties involved

– it bypasses existing laws on privacy and confidentiality and explicitly exempts the Minister of  Health and government inspectors from any kind of third-party oversight and accountability;

**Note: In the US the Secretary of Health & Human Services and any of her delegates were given the same immunity, and US citizens were denied their right to access the courts for redress.

– the need to publish regulations governing the activities of the inspectors is abolished, too; More

New Zealand law mirrors US and Canada, fake food safety bills

It comes as no surprise that the fake food safety bill passed here in the US in what was clearly a staged event that required the complicity of the other 99 Senators who voluntarily vacated the US Senate chamber to allow  “Dirty Harry” to cast the only vote as “unanimous” is being mirrored, replicated and implemented in many other countries. Canada passed its C-36 bill shortly after “Dirty Harry” completed his task here in the US, and now it appears New Zealand food rights are on the chopping block too.

What are the chances that New Zealand Retailers Association would come up with what appears to be a line of propaganda nearly identical to the crap foisted on the American public as their rights to produce and consume foods of their choice were attacked relentlessly by Big AG and the bio-pirates along with other corporate interests who stand to profit immensely at the expense of the public? These are the same interested party’s and stakeholders who rammed C-36 through Canada’s parliament.

And here we see the same limp arguments coming out of New Zealand, promoted by yet another retailers association intent on convincing New Zealanders that their food supply and production, needs “modernization”. Modernization with regards to food can be easily defined as centralization of food production and supply to provide market monopolies to multi-national corporations.  The greatest threat to food supply chains around the world is industrialized food which provides neither safe food, nor nutritious food.   Progress on the food bill: More

OPINION

I stumbled across a footnote for the Great Atlantis Search in an old Arizona Highways article (Circa 1940s)—“Ancient Manuscripts on American Stone” by William Coxon—one afternoon while looking for something to read in a waiting room in Houston, Texas.

Coxon, a photographer and archaeologist who died in Arizona in 1963, traveled to Mexico in the late Thirties and stopped by the Mazatlan tourist information center to gather information for a presentation for the locals when he returned home. While there, he encountered Don Manuel, an archaeologist and Aztec who researched ancient history; his in particular. Finding out Coxon was from Arizona, he asked him to take some pictures of certain petroglyphs there when he got home and send them to him and, if he would come by his office the following day, they would talk about it.

Coxon wrote he wasn’t sure what petroglyphs Don Manuel was talking about, and so borrowed some information at the hotel where he was staying. The next day he met with Manuel and told him he was sure there were no petroglyphs in Arizona. It was then Manuel relayed to him his Aztec legend:

“. . . according to the legends of my ancestors, the Nahuatl tribes came to this continent from Atlantis, and crossed overland to the Valley of the Great Salt Lake. Later, they migrated from there to the Valley of the River Gila, and established their first capital. After living there several centuries, they migrated onto the Mexican Plateau. You will find their petroglyphs in Arizona.”

When Coxon returned to his hometown, he made a talk to the Rotary about his trip, spoke of his encounter with Don Manuel, and asked that if anyone had seen petroglyphs of this nature to let him know after the meeting. To his surprise, several men approached and told him where he could find them.

Ask President Obama and the Congress why…

The first question I want to ask the president and all the members of congress is: Why did you hate the way America was?

The saying goes ‘love it or leave it’.

Why are you still living here?

Why did you tell us you wanted to serve and represent your fellow citizens, then turn your back on us and our country?  We did not plan or carry out the attacks on America on Sept. 11th 2001, but you have treated us like we did.   You’ve sent our valiant soldiers to the other side of the world to avenge 9/11 and stop another attack, but have stood silently by while there was an invasion of the U.S. at our southern border.

Why have you failed to protect us from that?

Why have you let the ‘terrorists win’ by destroying everything that was wonderful about America?  You’ve taken away our reason to fly our flag proudly and shamed our name around the world with your legalized brutality and torture.  More

The fantasy world of psychiatry and psychotropic drugs

Missing in action:  The FDA and selective targeting

As the FDA continues its targeting of supplement manufacturers, whole fresh milk producers and attempts to whip up a public frenzy over non existent threats over vitamins and nutritional supplements, the pharmaceutical manufacturers are getting away with murder and the FDA is not only aware of it, but helping to facilitate it.

Every year 700,000 adverse events are reported regarding psychotropic drugs [1] and an average of 42,000 individuals lose their lives as a result of these drugs and yet FDA has not closed one drug manufacturer or prosecuted any company for its part in the physical harm and resulting deaths that occur from taking drugs which are not safe even if strictly used as prescribed; drugs which the FDA gave its stamp of approval to. And never does the FDA launch a public panic campaign in an attempt to demonize drug makers, as they have with nutritional supplements, vitamins and herbal remedies.

Psychiatry and psychotropic drugs

Psychotropic drugs could have never become as successful and prevalent as they are without the approval and market access provided to drug makers by the FDA. Even so,  it seems the field of psychiatry has not only been a willing partner in drug dealing, but has been invaluable in creating fictionalized disorders that it seems only they can detect in most cases, even in infants.

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders – Mental Illness, Disease, Health [2] otherwise known as the DSM, is being revamped to throw a wide net even over children and infants along with virtually every sector of the population.  Describing supposed “diseases” which have no proven pathology, everyone is subject to being diagnosed with some form of mental illness and to be forced onto some kind of drug if not multiple drugs. The court jesters on the Potomac have outdone themselves.

In my 52 years as a voting progressive activist, things have never been this embarrassing in the District of Criminals.

The challenge is to convey my disgust without incurring the wrath of the F.C.C., or whatever other alphabet agency is monitoring my communications today. (They take turns.)

What the f*** is the matter with you a**ho**s!!!

In a saying that goes back to my high school days, “You people would screw up a wet dream!”

On your failure to put together a payroll tax holiday and keep some unemployment benefits flowing, I guess you think that $19.25 a week and $450 – $500 a week is not that big a deal.

The unemployment compensation, proceeds from an insurance plan funded by employer and employee alike, helps someone pay the bills until you jerks figure out how to get our country back to work.

$19.25 a week at the grocery store is the difference between hamburger and peanut butter.

I’m not sure I’d even like to meet the nine people out of a hundred that approve what you are up to. I cannot stand the thought of sharing air with that many more idiots in my life.

The militarization of local law enforcement

The militarization of our local law enforcement agencies now that Homeland Security is running the show, has many communities and individuals sounding the alarm over the escalating violence issuing from these agencies as former public servants have been transformed into public threats.  As public unrest spreads across not only the US but also the globe, the ramping up of military weapons to be used by law enforcement against their own communities, continues to become ever more lethal and is provided routinely for use on protestors and other public gatherings.

Two new weapons have recently surfaced not only here in the US but also in Britain.  The British will be testing out their brand spankin’ new  SMU 100 Laser gun.  What is that you ask?  According to the UK Telegraph:

The laser, resembling a rifle and known as an SMU 100, can dazzle and incapacitate targets up to 500m away with a wall of light up to three metres squared. It costs £25,000 and has an infrared scope to spot looters in poor visibility.

Looters?  How many looters are there running around  Britain that would warrant investing in these weapons?  Have you even heard of any instance in the last ten years where “looters” were ravaging Britain?  Twenty years? Anybody?  Gosh…..I wonder who they are going to use these laser guns on.  Hmmmmm. More

With our southern border with Mexico, now a virtual war zone and as the beheadings, murders, drug trafficking, human trafficking and overall violence escalates each day, the federal government has come up with a sure-fire plan on how to gain control of the situation.  They have moved ahead with the plans to integrate Canadian and US police to be used for border security, intelligence sharing, and of course your basic over the top government spying on absolutely everyone at, on or around the US- Canadian border.  Referred to as the expanded Homeland Security Perimeter, the North American Union is being putting in to place.

Yes, that’s right.  With our southern border exploding with violence, drug wars, illegal immigration and human trafficking, every effort is being made to secure the border with Canada. We got your troops, both Canadian and US on both sides of the border, your drones for aerial spying, your checkpoints, your RFID infrastructure, your real time physical surveillance, biometric scanners, and access to a massive data base of individuals compiled for no other reason than ……they can.

And now we can indiscriminately decide someone, anyone, everyone is a criminal, needs investigating, hunting down or is a terrorist and proceed to terrorize them, hold them indefinitely, torture them if we choose to, and generally destroy their lives because after all……it’s the only way the two governments can keep us [safe].

Has anyone asked how we are to keep ourselves safe from our own governments? More

The Agenda 21, ICLEI invasion into every aspect of our lives is happening NOW, TODAY and moving forward at every opportunity to disregard our Constitutional rights, of sovereignty, of self preservation and survival.

The following video shows how a private corporation PG&E puts profit before the well-being of the customer, American citizens who have a basic right to food, water and shelter. They are denying these people the services they are willing to pay for; the services that our government is suppose to regulate in the best interest of the “People”, the “Rate Payers”.

Please watch the following video of the Santa Cruz council meeting in California and then watch what is happening here in Michigan at the Rochester Hills council meeting as residents try to stop the invasion of Smart Meters.

What If War Was Outlawed?

Did you know that war is against the law? All should become familiar with the Kellogg-Briand Pact of 1928:

“(A) Treaty between the United States and other Powers providing for the renunciation of war as an instrument of national policy. Signed at Paris, August 27, 1928; ratification advised by the Senate, January 16, 1929; ratified by the President, January 17, 1929; instruments of ratification deposited at Washington by the United States of America, Australia, Dominion of Canada, Czechoslovkia, Germany, Great Britain, India, Irish Free State, Italy, New Zealand, and Union of South Africa, March 2, 1929: By Poland, March 26, 1929; by Belgium, March 27 1929; by France, April 22, 1929; by Japan, July 24, 1929; proclaimed, July 24, 1929.”

Following is from a story by the CBC:

“There was no “Mission Accomplished” banner. No victory parade down the center of this capital scarred and rearranged by nearly nine years of war. No crowds of cheering Iraqis grateful for liberation from Saddam Hussein.

“Instead, the U.S. military officially declared an end to its mission in Iraq on Thursday with a businesslike closing ceremony behind blast walls in a fortified compound at Baghdad airport. The flag used by U.S. forces in Iraq was lowered and boxed up in a 45-minute ceremony. No senior Iraqi political figures attended.

“With that, and brief words from top American officials who flew in under tight security still necessary because of the ongoing violence in Iraq, the U.S. drew the curtain on a war that left 4,500 Americans and more than 100,000 Iraqis dead.

“The conflict also left another 32,000 Americans and far more Iraqis wounded, drained more than $800 billion US from America’s treasury and soured a majority of Americans on a war many initially supported as a just extension of the fight against terrorism after the 9/11 attacks.”

In Less than 24 Hours Congress Could Vote to Change the Internet Forever

Tomorrow the House Judiciary Committee is going to vote on H.R.3261, the Stop Online Privacy Act, or SOPA for short. As I have previously outlined, this legislation would destroy the internet as we know it and severely impinge on free speech and the spread of information.

If this passes committee, which all indications say it likely will, it could be voted on by the whole of the House of Representatives at any time.

Individuals and corporations both large and small are stepping up to fight back against the draconian SOPA legislation and the Senate’s sister legislation, the PROTECT IP Act.

However, there is a significant lobby that is pushing back against the tide of freedom and liberty in an attempt to severely restrict the internet.

As the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) pointed out in a Congressional hearing, SOPA will restrict non-infringing online content right along with the infringing content the bill is supposedly aimed at combating.

“By contemplating an order that effectively bars others from gaining access to both infringing and non-infringing content, the proposed statute goes beyond appropriate First Amendment free speech protections,” the ACLU said.

The wildly restrictive SOPA legislation would essentially make it impossible for some of the largest websites on the internet to operate in any way that is remotely familiar to the climate we have known.

Any social media website that allows users to freely post content could be shut down at any time if any infringing content is posted on the site.

This means that all of YouTube, all of Twitter, all of Facebook, all free blog hosts, etc. could be forced to close down if a single individual posts infringing content.

This is China-style internet censorship on steroids; it is so astoundingly oppressive that there has been a blatant disinformation war waged against those who seek to keep the internet free.

However, little bits of truth sneak out here and there, with Chris Dodd, head of the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) and former Senator, letting out a shocking admission which gives a glimpse into the minds of those who support the destruction of one of the last vestiges of true freedom in America.

“When the Chinese told Google that they had to block sites or they couldn’t do [business] in their country, they managed to figure out how to block sites,” Dodd said.

A similar sentiment was echoed by Senator Joe Lieberman last year when he was promoting his so-called “internet kill switch” legislation.

“Right now, China – the government – can disconnect parts of its internet in a case of war. We need to have that here too,” Lieberman said at the time. READ MORE

While this video is a bit hard to hear, it is excellent!  Thanks Erin and Louise.

Note the gun toting wardens at the front of the public meeting in the video–these guys are afraid of old gals and guys coming to public meetings in serene rural Redding, CA.

In the YouTube video, the balding (like me) gentleman at the right-corner of the table is Gary Cadd who was on the National Marine Fisheries Service-dominated North Pacific Fishery Management Council that meets in Alaska.  He is a goldmine of information on the corruption of bycatch of coho and Chinook salmon in the Gulf of Alaska affecting our fish populations in California and Oregon.

He spoke with many “observers” on the airplane in trips he took to Council meetings between Anchorage and Seattle, and learned first-hand that the NMFS-employed lay-public observers are kept below deck on ocean trawlers so the bycatch (coho and Chinook salmon) are pitched overboard before the observers are allowed above deck to see the fish being retrieved out of the trawl nets–the Chinook contain coded wire tags needed to document the origin of the fish (see below) and the coho have marks allowing them to be associated with their hatchery origin.

Fishing would have to stop if the excessive bycatch limits were observed on deck. The observers during debriefing, before being swept back to Seattle, are discouraged in their reporting of illegal activity of Chinook and coho salmon bycatch–I have a friend and former student who has personally experienced this corruption in debriefing by NMFS or other government agents. PG&E THREATENS TO DISCONNECT FAMILIES PROTECTING THEIR HEALTH

Hundreds of Households Having SmartMeters Removed as Health Toll Mounts

Capitola, CA- Last Wednesday, more than a dozen Santa Cruz County residents- including mothers and grandmothers- assembled outside Pacific Gas and Electric’s Capitola Payment Center with their unwanted wireless electric meters in hand, and spoke about what prompted them to defy their utility and replace the ‘smart’ meter on their homes with widely available analog meters.  After being interviewed by the media, they quietly got in line and waited for the next clerk. But before they could speak to anyone, PG&E called out half a dozen Capitola Police Officers, and kicked everyone out of the office.  The unwanted ‘Smart’ Meters were left piled up on the counter.  Late last week, PG&E sent letters threatening to disconnect power to those who returned their ‘smart’ meters on Wednesday, including a family of four with headaches and a single woman in her seventies.

With most of the Republican party appalled at the thought of Gingrich as a candidate, and now with the addition of Donald Trump as his side kick, no one can take this seriously.  I’m also thinking we could turn this into a reality show series.  Forget Jersey Shore…..we got “Newty and The Donald” buffoon show.  More

New Zealand losing its independence under Key

Another political mystery as a man who has spent little of his adult life in his supposed native country, suddenly surfaces and wins a national election.  John Key of New Zealand appears to be the counter part to Obama’s sudden appearance in the US.  I don’t believe in coincidences and the idea that yet another charismatic political figure rises up out of nowhere about the same time Obama did and suddenly is the darling of the political set in New Zealand, just as Obama was here in the US, doesn’t seem quite so coincidental to me.

This video on YouTube was released before Key won the last election. New Zealand would have done well to have paid attention to it.  What is laid out in this video is your future under Key, obviously a man well connected in places other than New Zealand.

Key won a second term as New Zealand Prime minister, which does not bode well for New Zealanders.  Key, well known for his willingness to imitate oppressive laws and regulations rolled out in the United States, especially those that target the abundant independent agricultural sector in New Zealand, has made clear that he will work with the  US to finalize a corporate government-to-government free trade agreement that will include nine Pacific countries.

This agreement should further destabilize all the national economies involved opening the door for complete corporate takeover of all businesses, trade and finances and most especially ending domestic agricultural production in favor of centralized big Ag corporate monopolies. More

Tobacco Smokes the World

Source: http://frugaldad.com

Besides being unhealthy, cigarettes can cost a pack-a-day smoker over $2500 a year, and we could all use that money to pay down debt, take a vacation, or just have some insurance money left in the bank.

It’s also shocking to realize that Big Tobacco – the same industry we thought we got rid of years ago – is quietly raking in some serious profits. A lot of these profits are coming from overseas markets, but Big Tobacco is still advertising here at home. After 40 years of decline, the smoking rate in the US has flat-lined for the last five years.

I’ve heard plenty of feedback this week on my recent spate of infographics, so take what you will from this one. I personally am floored by the lot of the statistics and I think that, like the other infographics I’ve posted, this one should help expose just how large the Tobacco industry is and how much it affects you and your family.

Maybe we expect too much. Maybe we actually believe that our military and law enforcement agencies are comprised of  honorable individuals whom we can respect and admire.  That may have been true at some point in time, and it may be a truth to some extent now, but look at what is happening to us at the hands of these very same people, today.  The only people showing up at events, rally’s, protests or other public venues, prepared to instigate and commit acts of violence are….the military and local law enforcement.

God save the oil cartel subsidies and to hell with the poor!

While the Republicans disparage any thoughts of asking the upper 3% and corporations to pay their fair and equalized share of taxes, they also fight like banshees to prevent the repeal of the 36 billion in tax credits and subsidies to the oil cartels which continue to produce billions and billions and billions and more billions, in net profits.

God forbid we should even bring up capping the prices the cartels can charge the public for their products.

With both party’s having done their fair share of damage to the economy, jobs and the standard of living for most of America, neither party is too keen on rolling back the unearned and unnecessary financial privileges extended to high dollar corporate campaign donors especially when these funds from the oil conglomerates are so lucrative.

With the battle still raging in the District of Criminals regarding how to cut spending it is apparent that no one considered the idea that possibly cutting those massive subsidies to oil companies might just lessen the load a bit.  Instead, knowing that oil prices had risen an average of 40% above last year (no reason for this other than they could raise them) our collection of jackasses in the District decided the best way to save money would be to cut fuel assistance to low-income families; that was far more acceptable than exercising any sort of control over oil cartels.

Besides, poor people aren’t likely to take you to expensive restaurants or to fly you around on one of their corporate jets to some vacation get away disguised as a government business trip and they don’t have the money to finance your political career…..so screw them. More

An exigent judiciary: Nothing supreme about Indiana’s Black Robed Mafia

________________________________________

Most of us have concluded that our judicial system is a farce with the entire country choking on the corruption of the judiciary on all levels.  We have become far too tolerant of judicial misconduct and the intentional refusal to adhere to the law and constitutional rights by what has become known as the Black Robed Mafia. Never are the citizens of any state in greater danger than when they are forced to step into any court room in this country.

On too many occasions judges openly declare that the law is “what I say it is”, then proceed to violate rights, refuse to allow evidence that would counter the oppositions arguments, threaten plaintiff’s and/or defendants with jail for demanding their rights, or, if all else fails, refuse to allow them to speak in their own defense.  We even have instances of judges threatening the victims in their courtrooms with jail for mentioning the Constitution.

The Supreme Court of the United States has become an unnecessary burden on the country, rendering obviously unconstitutional opinions and rulings bearing little resemblance to the rule of law and the constitution.  The state courts are following suit and rendering a few zingers of their own which should have each of them disbanded until a suitable reconstruction effort can be achieved.  More

The Social Security Scam – Why all taxpayers must file income tax returns

Source: Llstuler’s Blog

You have been told that Social Security is an insurance program run by the federal government.  You were led to believe that your income would be taxed at a certain rate for the cost of the program.  Then in times of medical emergency or upon retirement you would be eligible for Social Security benefits.  On the surface, this would seem to be an equitable arrangement.

But the federal government failed to fully inform you as to all of the other ramifications of applying for a Social Security number.  For instance, did you know that you became a federal employee?  Well, you did – specifically you became a member of the Merchant Marine.  You also became an employee of a corporation that is involved with importing to and from the U.S. possessions.  Another consideration is that if FICA is based upon a percentage of your earnings, then the government has somehow been granted the right to know the amount of your income and the sources of your income – this is not a hallmark of freedom.  These statements and more will be evidenced by the actual federal statutes and regulations further on this page.

Like all great magicians, the federal government has you looking at the obvious while hiding the basis of the trick that the magician is performing right in front of your eyes.

Lots of Americans have questioned the legitimacy of the personal income tax, but it seems that everyone just loves the Social Security program.  Social Security is the sacred cow that no one is ever supposed to criticize.  Oh, sure, some claimants of Social Security find fault with what claims are denied or only partially funded.  And lots of people are now pointing out that Social Security is not going to be solvent in the near future.  But up till now no one has questioned the legitimacy of the Social Security program.  Well, that time has come. World War 3: A Natural Resource War

Politicians in America, talk a good game, of course. I mean let’s face it, if they hope to be any good at what they do, then every word out their mouths in a public setting, at least, had better be carefully calculated ahead of time for maximum political effect and the avoidance of any undesirable repercussions.

Therefore, as a result of the frightful and fateful day of September 11th 2001, all of us living in the U.S. have naturally been exposed to a variety of not so straight shooting; often times, ridiculously patronizing ‘political’ talk, via our federally elected representatives.

Personally, I recall chuckling initially over how the ‘war on terror’ propaganda machine was kicked off, upon hearing, George W. Bush, declare that terrorists hate our freedom in the United States. My reaction was due at the time (being still an equally irrelevant misnomer to me today, should I imagine a human being hating the idea of freedom) to my brain, simply refusing to wrap itself around such a shallow assertion. Even the worse dictators known to man, one could reasonably imagine, have always liked the idea of their own personal liberties or self-determination.

Terrorist plotters in the Middle East, particularly, may not care much for Spiderman or Batman films; Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants – or Lady Gaga, etc, presumably invading their respective cultures, but the thought of our ‘freedoms’ in America, has obviously little to no effect on someone residing thousands of miles away from us.

Look at this way, how often does a U.S. terrorist strike out at communist China or North Korea, because of hatred for their social structure or lack of freedom?

Even from the moment of the collapse of the twin towers in New York City, the United States has hardly been in some war on terror in distant nations to protect the citizens of the American homeland. And if you care to insist it otherwise to me, then I will only suggest to you that what we have been doing militarily overseas since 9/11, is merely a prelude to our ultimate objective. This is gist of my argument herein, of course, and the sooner this realization is established in the minds of Americans in general, then the better off we’ll all be. The so-called war on terror is not a war at all; it’s more alike to the pre-emptive ramblings of a fascist dictatorship.

Nowadays, when I weigh the thought of a rogue theocracy armed with nuclear weapon potential – in the form of Iran – unleashing hell on Earth, although the scenario troubles me somewhat, I nonetheless find the situation the epitome of self-motivating reasons for America to once again act militarily in order to secure the most important thing conceivable to any world superpower . . .

Yes indeed, you guessed it, oil. Read More

All nations are being squeezed by the WTO to ID all food animals. As this tax on farmers is being enforced it starts out as a simple economical process, all for the good of the farmer, either for disease tracing or export competition against other countries. This article shows how a greedy government will not stop choking their citizens. How would it feel to pay $43.63 per lamb in ID tag fees with ruthless corrupt government enforcements? Crazy you say — hello! Not just crazy, it is stealing all the profit farmers in New Zealand make, but the government feels no pain. Notice the last part — the government tells farmers “competing producers overseas already provide.” Not true. Not true at all! But each government is telling farmers that others are ahead so “pay-up now.”

This article is an example how government never stops inventing new fees. It will happen with ADT — if allowed.

Currently the USA is telling farmers Animal Disease Traceability (ADT) is imperative to compete in US beef exports, but facts are, the US beef producers has not fed the nation in 21 years and had to import 16% of the beef consumed last year. Why worry about exports? Is someone in government making some export/import bucks?

A NEW levy to fund the National Animal Identification and Tracing (NAIT) scheme is unnecessary and yet another cost farmers have to bear, says Gisborne Wairoa Federated Farmers president Hamish Cave.

“It is just all too easy to keep asking farmers to pay,” he said.

Farmers are already paying a substantial amount on every cattle beast they send to the works.

“There is $11.40 to the Animal Health Board, $4.20 to Beef and Lamb and $20.70 for the Ministry of Agriculture inspection — That is $36.30 and then another $2.50 to NAIT as well as $4.83 for the new electronic tags is $43.63 — in my opinion that is far too much money to pay before we even get paid for the animal.”

The NAIT scheme is set to start on July 1 next year. More

Farm Wars

I recently found out something shocking. This revelation happened as I was meandering through the Organic Seed Growers and Trade Association (OSGATA) website and ran across the “about” page. It just so happens that Joel Reiten is one of the Board of Directors – “Currently seed production manager for Seeds of Change, a division of Mars, one of the world’s largest producers and marketers of 100% organic seed.”  More

The Weight of Walmart

Another infographic from the FRUGALDAD site.  We all know Walmart is less than reputable, and many people like myself, refuse to spend a dime there.  96% of the population lives within 20 miles of a Walmart……meaning they live within 20 miles of a major Chinese outlet.  And who is benefiting most from this?  It ain’t you babe………. The only thing Republicans and Democrats can agree on! Lets eat the horses!

Horse slaughter plants are legal again in the United States. Restrictions on horse meat processing for human consumption have been lifted.  courtesy of Google Images

In a bipartisan effort, the House of Representatives and the United States Senate approved the Conference Committee report on spending bill H2112, which among other things, funds the United States Department of Agriculture.  On November 18th, as the country was celebrating Thanksgiving, President Obama signed a law, allowing Americans to kill and eat horses. Essentially, one turkey was pardoned in the presence of worldwide media while in the shadows, buried under pages of fiscal regulation, millions of horses were sentenced to death.

Horse slaughter has been prohibited in the United States as funding for inspections of horses in transit and at slaughter houses was non-existent. This worked because the horse meat cannot be sold for human consumption without such inspections. The House version of the bill retained the de-funding language and the Senate version did not. The conference committee charged with reconciling the two opted to not include it. The result is that it is now legal to slaughter horses for humans to eat.

Notwithstanding that 70% of Americans oppose horse slaughter, that President Obama made a campaign promise to permanently ban horse slaughter and exports of horses for human consumption (horses can be sent to Mexico and Canada), that documentation of animal cruelty, slaughterhouse stench, fluid runoff and negative community impact exists, it is taxpayers that will bear the costs!

Wyoming state representative Sue Wallis and her pro-slaughter group estimate that between 120,000 and 200,000 horses will be killed for human consumption per year and that Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Georgia and Missouri, are considering opening slaughter plants.

During these trying times, is the only thing that Democrats and Republicans can agree on is that Americans need to eat horses?

MAJOR JACKASS ALERT!

The Senate voted to pass the anti-American Defense Authorization Act of 2011, S.1867.   The vote was 61-37; 61 Senators who swore to defend and uphold the Constitution just flipped the bird at the entire country.

44 Republican Senators voted to keep the detainee provisions in the bill….these are those same Republicans who are going to save the country from Obama and the Democrats.

17 Democrats voted to keep the same provisions….These are the same Democrats who are going to save country from the Republicans and the neo-cons.

I can’t speak for anyone else other than myself here but, I am so sick of this traitorous bunch of political whores and jackasses, I can barely stand it.  I cannot think of one rational, plausible reason as to why this bill included the so-called “right” to arbitrarily and summarily determine any one, anywhere in the world to be a threat/criminal, and to detain them indefintiely without any bona fide reason and based on nothing more than what  might amount to a “belief”  and to hold them indefinitely without charging them with any crime or producing any evidence that one had been committed and to do this to anyone the government decides to, even US citizens.  Who are the real terrorists here?  And why would codifying this into some horrendous law, make it any less repugnant or any more justifiable?

Its bad enough that we are unable to trust anything this bunch does, much less even one word of anything they say, but the fact is THEY know that WE know they are lying and betraying us at every opportunity, yet they continue to do so while simultaneously trying to convince us that one party or the other is the only party that will save us from fascism/socialism/communism…..whatever “ism” suits their current needs.  The fact is, we need to save our selves from our own government.   More
