Several individuals have “questioned” if my former blog was actually “real” in which I stated that other states were requiring a Gold Star and encouraged individuals to research their state Drivers License laws. Someone actually had the audacity to send the information that Indiana already had this so I should “…just be quiet and understand that when you renew you will have to participate.”
Just lay back and take it huh?
Wondering who is behind this program? Some little “concerned group” – nope:
CSDL
President
Coalition for a Secure Driver’s License
Nonprofit Organization Management industry
2007 – Present (4 years)
Senior Investigator
U.S. House of Representatives Judiciary Committee

For a better background on this and the “Interpol” connection, try this blog from 2010.
On Facial-Recognition Tech in 30 States, CSDL and INTERPOL
Pay attention: always perk your ears when you hear about a “non-profit” working to promote a government agency.
Non-profits are like lobbyists. Only, they usually specialize in lobbying the public to accept whatever (usually progressive) policy is being implemented by the state.
They’re on the state’s payroll. The government dime. The taxpayer’s dole. That should tell you who they “work for.”
So .. when anyone tells you the bureaucracy of the state is growing larger and larger, think about including non-profits. They compete for government funds, so of course they’ll mold themselves to pushing, advocating, cultivating and activating the state message.
Now, getting back to Zimmer.
Zimmer’s organization, the Coalition for a Secure Driver’s License, basically sets about promoting the implementation, compliance and enforcement of the Real ID Act, which sets minimum standards for state-issued driver’s licenses and ID cards. The law is based off of the 9/11 Commission report and, of course, there are privacy concerns. At one point, Napolitano wanted to have it repealed.
A quick google shows that back in 2007, Zimmer was a lead lobbyist for Kelly, Anderson and Associates. He testified in front of the Subcommittee on Terrorism, Technology and Homeland Security in May, 2007 as part of the “Interrupting Terrorist Travel: Strengthening the Security of International Travel Documents” testimony.
Ronald K. Nobel, the then-and-now Secretary-General of INTERPOL was on the same panel with him.
Yes – the “Gold Star” program is designed to lead to Real ID. While I invite conversation, please be aware that as a truth seeker I always ensure I document the information presented in my Satirical pieces. It may seem as if one needs a tinfoil hat to read these, that’s the point of the blog category “Satire”. With 18 States and counting, divergence from “lay back and take it” may advance to “lean forward and fake it” for some. Not I.

That’s great, they allow illegal Mexicans to run the highways without insurance and sometimes without a drivers license and they hoist this crap on us. The department of nonjustice is going right along with it.

Dear Chuck,
If I had a nickel for every time I read or heard patriot mythology I’d be a rich man.
Much of the information flying around the patriot community is false, baseless or worse. Often it is planted by a government agent provocateur. Then good intentioned patriots repeat it and spread it wide and far, with no proof and no evidence whatsoever! The results are disastrous. Many good folks are mislead and find themselves in jail. Don’t believe anybody, just because they sound good.
You need proof, and evidence of the kind that will stand up in court. I never see any proof with the comments in news articles. You also need training on how to handle yourself in court.
I wish it were so simple that you just say “I opt out”, or you could “just say no”, but it isn’t that simple.

@CHUCK
Nice to hear that we can opt out….and legally too. But you don’t explain exactly how to do that.
So how exactly would we do that? I read a lot of this on the web about how you can travel without a license, just walk past TSA at the airport, skip paying income tax and just say no to property tax. I have yet to see it actually work.
There is a big difference between ideas of how things should be and how they really are.

This is all fear mongering. You can opt out – legally. The Soviet Union of America private own crook government has everyone in a tizzy. Don’t cooperate. I have been driving without a drivers license ever since this crap started some time in late 2001. I refused to renew my passport and have even flown planes, and crossed the US border twice, all without a passport. I refuse to cooperate with any of it. This whole things will lead to Real ID and to chipping everyone. All of you will be hooked to a debit chip. Slaves on a leash. And the chip will eventually contain cyanide so they can terminate you for any infractions. But all of this only can happen only with your consent or silent assent. Simply refuse – respectfully. You are not cattle. You are human and you have a choice. Opt out. If everyone did this, they could not pull this totalitarian BS.

Just to be precise, I had to show a passport or birth certificate to RENEW my driver’s license, they one they’ve had to track my record with since 1981.

Oh, so TSA did scan my driver’s license, which I did have to show my passport for, yet they still couldn’t approve of my boarding a flight without an x-ray. A gold star isn’t going to cut it either, not when your political beliefs aren’t kosher.

We moved to florida, A little over a year ago, worst mistake of my life. I still have my old La. drivers lic, as I ran across yet another problem since I was adopted, they spelled one letter of my first name improperly.
I have to pay a lawyer 1100.00 to get that changed so that I can have a FL drl lic. in my true name. I am 65 and have never run across this problem untill now.
Allstate ins. demands that I reside in Fl. , hence I have to have a Fl. lic.
I HATE ‘homeland security’ and said ‘patriot act’…it is simply Big Brother tactics to me disguised under a wonderful fearmongering word “Terrorism” .
After reading this, I don’t know what to do.. I do not want ‘chips’ or anything for the gov to ‘know where I am all the time’.. I’m not a criminal or a ‘terrorist’.
I do not know what to do.. I want to leave the ‘new improved’ USA, but we put alot of cash down on this house, and the market for homes is shot.
I feel hemmed in by a system that no longer respects my given rights and I’m Mad As Hell and Not Gonna Take It Anymore!! but, I can’t fight them all.
I am sick at heart of what ‘they’ are doing to America, a country I love with all my heart. I have joined the OccupyWallstreet Movement. Not being able to physically help, I donate, spread the word, and read , read , read.
I hope we are seeing a new ‘Democratic” America that we once had untill about 30 years or so again.
It sux being old and afraid of your own Government. 😦

That can require it all they want. I utterly refuse to acquire on of these “Real ID’s”. Should it become the only option when getting a new drivers license, I’ll promptly destroy any RFID devices imbedded in it. I’ll provide false information above and beyond the normal information on a driver’s license. And if their Big Brother embedded device can’t be destroyed, I’ll simply drive unlicensed. This BS is going to stop.

Gold Star states? So they did with REAL ID what they did with CAp & Trade, the Water Theft Act, and several other non passable pieces of police state legislation? Just passed it over to another federal corporation to implement by rule? Where are our governors? Where are our state legislatures?
I figure since our in state politicos are selling us out as fast as they can…..we might as well dismantle them and stop paying for this.

Super S grocery a division of Lowes Inc. is now requiring a drivers license to purchase bullets, beer or tobacco. The card is swiped and the info goes to the WWW. I called the corporate office. It turns out the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission “recommended” the practice so Lowes bent over backwards to comply. ” You dont have to buy from us” the lady said. Dont worry I wont.
