I got all weepy eyed when I read this article from ABC “Bush to Be in NYC to Mark 10th Anniversary of 9/11”:

The ceremony at the World Trade Center site marking the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks will be a solemn but stately event that will include former President George W. Bush and a chance for victims’ families to view the names of loved ones etched into the memorial, Mayor Michael Bloomberg said.

President Barack Obama and Bloomberg will be joined by the leaders in charge during the 2001 attacks, including Bush, former Mayor Rudolph Giuliani and former New York Gov. George Pataki. Current New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will also be there, he said.

As the Ol’ Boys Club (OBC) gathers to remember the events of 10 years ago, obviously Government is showing their thanks in spectacular ways. We are on the verge of seeing the boomers, who have contributed FICA taxes for 40 years or more, pauperized.  Obama and the Gang of 6 (A very apt name, this is a criminal enterprise) are about to chop up SS, and medicare rather than cut costly and useless government programs or shutting down any of the unlawful federal agencies that suck the lifeblood out of the country.

________________________________________________

It is an amazing thing to me to hear those in the District of Criminals continue to spew the mantra that increasing taxes on the wealthiest will somehow cost us jobs.  Knock! Knock! Puddin’ heads!  WE got no jobs!! We have an admitted 22 million out of work. What is your excuse now?  Where are those jobs you promised if we treated the wealthy preferentially and absolved them of any meaningful responsibility to our country?

I believe the excuse for not taxing the wealthy has long since been exposed as fraud.  The wealthy do not create jobs, at least not here in the US. The wealthy do not invest in America to any great degree.  The wealthy are not willing to make any sacrifices in order to help stabilize the economy and reduce the national debt.  Why this privileged class is allowed to exempt themselves from the burden the rest of the country has to shoulder is a nagging question many of us are asking.  Maybe God could put a word of knowledge on the hearts of some of those pious Republicans who would see most of us destitute before they called on their wealthy friends or corporate donors to contribute.

Why is it you will tax small business owners and working class people into oblivion but refuse to tax pirating corporations and uber wealthy individuals and families that are plundering the economy and the country?

At what point did these hard core, bible thumping, scripture quoting right wing fanatics decide that it was morally acceptable to relieve their best wealthy friends (and themselves) along with mega corporate donors from any meaningful responsibility in sacrificing for the national debt, but it was just fine and damn dandy to go after the elderly and disabled after decades of plundering the investments in Social Security.

Obviously it is far more acceptable to put the screws to the elderly, retired or disabled rather than ask those skimming the cream off the top to contribute one damn thing to this country.

President Obama and a “Gang of Six” members of the U.S. House and Senate have placed Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid on the chopping block in secret, ongoing debt ceiling negotiations.  In these secret negotiations, far away from public enlightenment or debate, deals are being cooked-up to undermine, cut or privatize these important and highly beneficial programs.  With a vote on the impending national debt ceiling deadline these programs may be cut at any time in the next few days.

U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders stood on the floor of the U.S. Senate several times this week.  We can support his efforts to protect these vital programs by contacting our elected officials.

His Speech on Social Security and Medicare is on this link:

Take Action Today to Stop immediate cuts to these programs.  According to several members of congress the cuts to these programs will begin this year after proposed changes are made to the CPI Consumer Price Index so that no cost of living increases will be made to recipients, only cuts.

“Along with the known health hazards, the unwarranted and unlawful surveillance and inflated energy rates after installation of a SMART METER, is the threat of compromised national security.

______________________________________________

As a nationwide revolt is growing against the invasive and costly electric Smart Meters, public utilities and corporations, intent on putting the entire nation under surveillance unlawfully, not to mention creating a massive health threat, are moving quickly to install phase 2 of the SMART GRID:  Gas Smart Meters.  It won’t stop there; they are planning on rolling out SMART water meters as quickly as possible.

On March 31, 2011 in Capitola California, it was reported that PG & E spokesman Jeff Smith said a total of 17 of the wireless devices were installed on residences and businesses where existing meters had been damaged by floods. Fifteen of the meters were for gas and two were for electric.

The City Council placed a moratorium on Smart Meter installations in February, though the California Public Utilities Commission has sole authority over PG&E.” (This authority over PG&E pertains ONLY to PG&E and cannot be construed and extended to mean authority over private citizens and communitites)

The CPUC has no authority to override a city council inititiative and to move ahead with a private corporate contract between CPUC  and PG&E that the public is unaware of, has not seen and did not enter into. More

The timber rattlesnake and eastern diamondback rattlesnake both populate the geographical areas of the original thirteen colonies. Their use as a symbol of the American colonies can be traced back to the publications of Benjamin Franklin. In 1751, he made the first reference to the rattlesnake in a satirical commentary published in his Pennsylvania Gazette. It had been the policy of Britain to send convicted criminals to America, so Franklin suggested that they thank the British by sending rattlesnakes to England.[1]

Dear Mr. President,

The American people understand your frustration in dealing with the Debt Ceiling. I personally understand that it is your impression that those of us “outside” of Washington do not have the mental capacity to be aware of the conditions we now face.  Contrary to professional political individuals – you Sir are wrong.

Now, what makes today’s stalemate so dangerous is that it has been tied to something known as the debt ceiling — a term that most people outside of Washington have probably never heard of before.

Respectfully I would like to point out that we do understand. That is why last election cycle we placed (through the electoral process) over 100 new Legislators replacing those who chose to “go along” as Legislators are want to do for special interest purposes. While skewed media pointed out that “only” 32% of Tea Party Candidates won their elections, the American Public cheered because this is the beginning of the “Change” you proposed to support in the Political landscape.

Delta smelt numbers ‘improve’ as pumps kill millions of splittail

Department of Fish and Game (DFG) officials announced on July 20 that young Delta smelt abundance this year roughly doubles that of last year, but noted that this is “but a small fraction of their historical abundance.”

“The improvement is likely due in large part to higher than usual flows from the San Joaquin and Sacramento rivers this year that resulted in better habitat conditions and water quality,” according to a DFG news release.

The announcement of “improved” Delta smelt numbers was issued as one of the greatest fish kills in California history continues to take place in the state and federal Delta pumps.

A horrific total of 8,942,347 splittail, 35,435 chinook salmon, 385,392 striped bass, 49,812 largemouth bass, 67,383 bluegill, 66,403 white catfish, 20,178 channel catfish, 91,956 threadfin shad, 166,336 American shad, 1,642 steelhead and 51 Delta smelt were “salvaged” in the state and federal water export facilities from January 1 to July 21, 2011, according to DFG data. Louisiana Monks Win Casket Case

Federal Court Protects Economic Liberty by Ruling that Casket Monopoly is Unconstitutional

A federal court today ruled (read the court’s decision) that Louisiana’s government-imposed monopoly on casket sales in the state is unconstitutional, closing the lid on the economic protection scheme and resurrecting an opportunity for local monks to provide for themselves by creating and selling their handmade caskets. The monks of Saint Joseph Abbey of Saint Benedict, La., and the Institute for Justice, which represents the order in court, had filed suit to fight Louisiana’s government-imposed casket cartel.

Never Carry A Goose On The Glock Side

Lynn Swearingen (c) copyright 2010 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED

I ask readers to once again read this inane experience to get to the final allegory presented. Y’all are pretty much above the cut of blog consumers, so I’m thinking I may be in luck.

In the tradition of many rural homesteaders, I had something someone else wanted. Geese. After the preliminary examination of said fowl – and I do mean fowl – a deal was struck. Without the entire “addressing of Committees” and “passing Resolutions before the Press”, we’d managed to hammer out a deal over the pasture fence in the intense heat. I’d herded the two 20 pound Toulouse down from the upper back 40 and was preparing to load them. Leaning down I slung “Thing One” up and over to my left hip. About 2 steps into the production, I felt the warm, gooey mess that leads to the term “loosey goosey” begin to slide down the inside of my waistband. Of course the cross draw Glock 40 on my left hip was coated with the odious mess – probably the most important resource I had upon myself at the time.

After the obligatory farm humor, I progressed over to transport “Thing Two”.

Now here readers is where the allegory of “learning from past mistakes” comes to mind. What exactly did I do? Did I think as the current Republican Party leaders and fling that sucker up on the same hip thinking “In for a penny, in for a pound” ’cause we’ll clean up this mess (debt) later. Or could I perhaps have crossed the party lines stating “I’ll just shift the shit dumping to the other side and hope it sticks”.

I’ll tell you what I did. I placed Number Two on the ground and guided it over. Sure enough a few steps into the process she let loose with the familiar gift unique to Geese across the world – in a harmless location – without fuss.

This entire situation gave rise to an interesting thought process. If in the past 49 years the debt ceiling has been raised over 74 times (10 times since 2001), what exactly are both parties doing? In the simplest sense of the word they are continuing the great tradition of stupidity. Reaching down and hoisting ol’ reliable “goosey loosey” on their left hip, they run to the nearest printer to whip themselves up a Bill to spend the cash no matter what is cascading down the waistband of the American Taxpayer (the most important resource of The United States).

The situation is neither as dire nor as “unexpected” as .gov would have us believe. The political games could easily have been solved across Washington’s pasture fences if either side chose to. What would be missing is the Political Posturing that creates great sound bites for re-election. They surely cannot have that. Both sides of the warped Washington coin will arrive at a deal considered “great” for the Nation as a whole.

It would be easier if all considered the issues across the pasture fencing stretching across this Nation – person to person versus party to party. Instead, I suppose after reconsidering that impossibility, the only words of wisdom I can propose are “Never carry a goose on the Glock side.”

How can a mutated germ plasm be so vastly different that a patent can be obtained and, at the same time, be so substantially the same as the germ plasm it was derived from that it should be generally considered safe and unregulated?”  Someone?  Anyone?

_____________________________________________

The recent deregulation of genetically mutated bluegrass is the first domino to fall in the scheme to deregulate all gmo’s and to avoid having to label these disgusting creations so that consumers, many of whom are fully aware of the dangers of these products, can choose to avoid them.  The economic power wielded by consumers via their food dollars would quickly put an end to genetic modification, mutation and alteration. Therefore, regulation, control, liability for harm and damage along with labeling, must be avoided at all costs.

The reduction of biodiversity as a result of the infestation of transgenic plants and crops will cause the rise of monocultures where a single crop is grown in a region or, becomes the only crop that will grow wiping out any biodiversity and by necessity causing a rise in the use of pesticides and herbicides as insects and weeds alike develop a tolerance to genetically mutated seeds and chemical applications. This infestation and resulting contamination of food crops in particular, or those crops to be used for feeds and fuel should be treated for what they actually are: the equivalent of AIDS in the plant world.

Transgenic crops are protected by fraudulent patents and will eventually be used to eradicate all rights to regional germ plasms.  The GATT agreement will facilitate the loss of the right of farmers in any given region to reproduce or save seed, and will prohibit the sharing of seed; exactly what is being implemented now. Representative Ron Paul – Brave Enough For Real Change?

Lynn Swearingen (c) copyright 2010 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED

If you are brave enough to know what freedom stands for, take a look at Representative Ron Paul on PBS and complete transcript available via PBS website.

Here are a few of the quotes that struck me as quite profound:

REP. RON PAUL: Well, because I talk about a lot less regulation – I don’t like the regulatory agencies, but that doesn’t mean the free market doesn’t have regulation. The regulations in the free market are much stricter because if a company gets into trouble and goes bankrupt, the law – the economic law, which should be enforced by government, that company goes bankrupt. So instead of bailing them out, these companies should have gone bankrupt.

But you have sound money and free markets; you can’t counterfeit money, like the Federal Reserve does.

The footprint we’re leaving now – our drone missiles dropping bombs and killing innocent civilians, launched from the United States with computers. That’s not the kind of footprint I want.

*********************

JUDY WOODRUFF: Afghanistan. How quickly would you bring the troops home?

REP. RON PAUL: As quick as the ships could get there. It’s insane on what we’re doing. And I’ll tell you one thing about this business about the military: We just had a quarterly report, and they listed all the money that all the candidates got from the military. I got twice as much as all the other candidates put together on the Republican side, and even more than Obama got, which tells me that these troops want to come home as well because they know exactly what I’m talking about.

As Mommy and Daddy put little Timmy on the bus to school for his first day of Pre-Kindergarden, they were very confused. Why were those strangers running their hands down Timmy’s little backside? Why did they choose to fondle his “special places”? Oh well, they shrugged as they turned to go home and prepare for work, Timmy was in “Good Hands” even if it wasn’t a famous insurance company.

A TSA representative presented an overview of the administration’s Intermodal Security and Transportation Exercise Program (I-STEP) as a vital resource to help school districts and private bus companies develop table-top training to prevent criminal and terrorist attacks on and using school buses.

If the above seems unbelievable, consider the fact that 10 years ago the American Public would never have considered Transportation Safety to include “Inter-Underpant Screening (IUS)” (TM). Even the thought of some blue gloved stranger sliding their approved finger under the wire of feminine support devices seemed ridiculous. Now this is a “standard operating procedure”. Passing Legislation Chicago Style : New “Black Hand” Emerges

Back before most of us were born a group of Thugs roamed the streets with Tommy guns and fast cars. Cruising the streets they owned,  the term “mob rule” was created. Chicago, New York, Kansas City, Detroit – these good ol’ boys ran the Nation’s crime gangs slicker than snail spit. Descended from the original Black Hand in the 1750’s, the American Mafia ruled uncontested for decades. Until of course a bigger Crime Boss came to town.

Not liking the competition for control, the Federal RICO Act effectively drove underground the Bosses and their ilk.  Nature deplores a vacuum and flowing in to control the Cities was the largest organized crime unit – The Federal Government.

After 25 years of non-commisaro activity, apparently the Gang has reformed. Only this time, they are elected not through bullets nor related by blood – they’re elected across this Nation every 2, 4 or 6 years – by the American Voters.

One only hopes this “Gang of Six” does not end up as Antonio Caponigro  who acted without “authorization”  of the Commission in 1980 took action against another member: More

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is the center of one of government’s biggest shams.

As a member of the National Invasive Species Council, the USDA has a mandate to   not authorize, fund, or carry out actions that it believes are likely to cause or promote the introduction or spread of invasive species in the United States or elsewhere.”

Your tax payer dollars are paying for the eradication of invasive species like stink bugs and salt cedar.

Meanwhile, more of your tax dollars are funding the vast promotion of the ultimate invasive species: genetically engineered plants and cloned animals.  This includes USDA’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) which was formerly CSREES, Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS), Economic Research Service (ERS), Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) and Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS).

Invasive species are any species not native to an ecosystem, and with an intentional or unintentional release, are likely to cause, or does cause, economic or environmental harm, or harm to human health.

Consider this when you see what the USDA has allowed to be field tested in the U.S.:

  • Human genes in barley, corn, tobacco, rice, and sugarcane
  • Mouse genes in corn, along with human genes
  • Simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV) and Hepatitis B genes in corn
  • Rat genes in soybeans

People have noticed the 25 government agencies on Obama’s new White House Rural Council.  And, they’re questioning what might be the need for all of them.

What people may not have noticed yet, is that the government agencies in this council are also on other councils.  These councils, as well as the individual government agencies, are implementing international laws that have taken effect through Executive Orders, Memorandums of Understanding, agreements and regulations that most Americans don’t even know about.  These have bypassed Congress.  And, it also seems they have completely bypassed the Constitution.

The devil is in the details

These agencies and councils are forming “partnerships” with members and groups other than the American people.  However, our tax dollars pay for their salaries and for the programs.

Some “partnerships” sound innocuous, but as you might guess, the devil is in the details.

I’ll give you an example.  There is a BioEco Working Group ( www.bioeco.gov), which at first glance seems to be part of the Department of Interior’s U.S.Geological Survey, since it is listed as creating the website.  But the actual Charter has National Science and Technology Council in the heading.  (The National Science and Technology Council includes 20 of the same agencies that are on the new Rural Council, but with some additional agencies, including the CIA.  It also includes the Vice-President, Cabinet Secretaries, heads of Agencies and some White House officials.)  More

Doing The Global Currency Shuffle

In mainstream financial circles, the concept of a global currency is often spoken of only with an atmosphere of caution. It is approached always in hypothetical terms. It is whispered of as some far off dream; a socio-economic moon landing in the far reaches of fiscal space. Perhaps in 2015, or 2020, or maybe 2050, but certainly never just over the horizon, or right around the corner posing as an innocuous trade asset created over 40 years ago and used only on rare occasions. Unfortunately, the development of a centralized global security representing the creation of a supranational economic body is much closer than many would care to admit…

The most common argument made in the mainstream against a global currency taking shape is the argument that no other currency in the world today has the strength or widespread circulation necessary to replace the dollar as a primary reserve unit. This is true, if, you only look at separate currencies, and not the big picture. The reality is, central banks and the IMF have no intention of replacing one national currency with yet another national currency as the world reserve. What they DO intend to do, however, is replace the dollar with a basket of national currencies linked together and homogenized under a single unit. This has been openly announced by the IMF for months, and Dominique Strauss-Kahn even produced a press release explaining the plan (this was before he apparently watched ‘Maid in Manhattan’ 57 times in a row then allegedly tried to “romance” a cleaning lady, which of course landed him in court): READ MORE

BANNING SMART METERS…

This information has been gathered from around the web on SMART METERS.

SMART METER WARNING!

Ten counties in California have banned Smart Meters.

These wireless meters on every home and building will emit huge pulses of microwave radio frequency radiation as often as every few seconds throughout the day and night, seven days a week.  Our FCC exposure standards only cover short-term thermal (heating) effects; they do not cover long-term accumulative exposure, nor do they cover biological impacts.

And that’s just the indoor part. All transmitters inside your home or office will communicate with a Smart Meter attached to the outside of each building. [1] That meter, in turn, will transmit at an even higher frequency to a central hub installed in local neighborhoods. In what are called “mesh networks,” signals can also be bounced from house-meter to house-meter before reaching the final hub. So exposures will not just be from your own meter, but accumulating from possibly 100-to-500 of your neighbors’ as well.

The scientific evidence for biological impacts from microwave radiation, known for decades (remember the Moscow embassy) continues to grow with impacts such as DNA damage, increased risk of cancers and tumors, cellular stress, decreased melatonin, decreased sperm, cognitive difficulties and brain-wave alteration, heart rhythm disturbances, red blood cell clumping, and impacts on wildlife including to bees. The Strategic Advantages Of Community Building

The year was 2002, and while the majority of Americans were completely obsessed with the so called “War On Terror” and other devices of distraction, something much more real and decidedly prophetic was going on in our southern hemisphere. Argentina was in the midst of total collapse, driven by banker fraud and extreme currency devaluation in tandem with government mismanagement and corruption. First, cities exploded with rioting and violence as Argentinian police and military attempted to crush all dissent. Soon after, displaced refugees from population centers along with roving bands of thieves flooded into the countryside, wiping out isolated farms, murdering families, and hunting down any small group of survivors weaker than themselves and flush with supplies. The authorities (and I use the term loosely) were too busy trying to suppress civil protests to bother protecting those who were caught unprepared.

This behavior is part and parcel of economic destabilization, regardless of the time or place in which it occurs. Only nine years ago, a very modern and technologically savvy nation of people, nearly cannibalized itself. Those who survived and thrived did so through family aid and substantial existing wealth, or, the tactical building of communities for the purpose of mutual defense and alternative trade. Farmers armed themselves and formed regional groups along with security measures. City dwellers formed neighborhood watches and barter networks when the mainstream economy disappeared. The bottom line; lone wolves and isolated country families were nothing more than tempting targets at the onset of the breakdown in Argentina.   READ MORE

This is a long-term issue in which many Administrations bear the weight upon their shoulders of “borrowing gone out of control” in conjunction with “spending with no accountability”.

Now consider comparing the above explanation with this “reasoned” Chicago style approach:

Noting “certain food-related ailments” this committee failed to ask the most obvious and relevant question:

If these ailments are a result of the food we are eating…..what is the underlying problem with the food?  And why would finding a remedy for this increase in possibly deadly ailments include further contamination and adulteration of the food supply with nano-chips?

I had come across an article in the Dairy Reporter last year, about the coming plans to insert nano-technology into food.  In the article from DR: Nanotechnology in food: What’s the big idea? By Caroline Scott-Thomas, 26-Jul-2010 this observation was made:

“At IFT’s nanoscience conference last week, major industry players discussed how to avoid a rerun of the GMO debacle with consumers – with some saying that one solution could be to say nothing about introducing nanotechnology in foods and to do it anyway.”

We all have enough experience with today’s bio-pirates who are openly colluding with the USDA, FDA and anyone else in government, like “Dirty Harry” Reid NV (D), who single-handedly and unanimously cast the one vote needed to pass the fake food safety bill, to know that food safety and longer shelf life is most likely not what this technology is actually intended to do.  As it is, most products on the shelves of stores now are so chemically laden and contain so much gmo that I doubt spoilage is an option. After all….can chemicals, pesticides and herbicides actually rot?    More

Interesting news.

The Rutherford Institute site explains exactly why the American People cannot question these searches:

A federal court has dismissed a Fourth Amendment lawsuit filed by The Rutherford Institute challenging the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) airport security screening policy of requiring air passengers to either submit to virtual strip searches involving advanced imaging technology (AIT), which exposes intimate details of a person’s body to government agents, or submit to highly invasive pat down searches during which TSA agents may go so far as to reach inside a traveler’s pants. U.S. District Court Judge Henry H. Kennedy, Jr., justified his dismissal by declaring that the court has no jurisdiction over the case, citing a secret order issued by the TSA which requires that the D.C. Court of Appeals hear any reviews of TSA orders. Insisting that it contains “sensitive security information,” the government has yet to make public the order embodying the TSA enhanced screening procedures.

I’m sure glad I’m not an Attorney working for this Administration. True they are kept busy attempting to dig up validation for circumventing The Constitution, but oh my – they sure should have tried a different one for raising the Debt Limit.

Obscure clause may help US avert default

Some legal experts believe he could, citing the 14th Amendment to the Constitution, adopted in 1868.

With the country still wrestling with post-war divisions, section four of the amendment was written after politicians from the defeated south sought to block the north’s commitment to repay large debts arising from its victorious campaign.

“The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law … shall not be questioned,” it reads.

I’m always curious what those funny little “…”s stand for, so I led myself down the path of actually reviewing what Section Four of the 14th Amendment actually says. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that of the 84 words contained, the Administration chose only 17 words to support their “obscure clause claim”. What could those other 67 words pertain to? More

Every one needs to check your electric meter, especially if it has been changed recently.  If an FCC number appears on the face, you are under surveillance.  The smart meter transmits a constant stream of information to the power provider.  This information includes when you are awake, when you sleep and everything you do in between.  It informs the provider constantly about all activity in your house.   More

“By restricting access to grazing land, for example, land and related feed resources become relatively scarce, so technical change will move towards making more efficient use of these resources…The same applies to all other natural resources that feed into the livestock production process, such as water or nutrients.

In 2006, the United Nation’s Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and Livestock Environment and Development (LEAD), supported by US AID and the World Bank, put out a 416 page report titled “Livestock’s Long Shadow.”  Statements made in this document should make American ranchers and farmers look for the United Nation’s long shadow over their land and water.

We’ll start off with some points the FAO made in the report, then some of their solutions (which, by the way, seem a lot like communism).  Then I’ll tell you why I think this report is, pardon the pun, bullshit.

The Delta Mendota Canal, shown here, and the California Aqueduct deliver water to corporate agribusiness in the San Joaquin Valley and southern California. Water exporters are pushing for the construction of a peripheral canal to facilitate the export of Delta water to drainage-impaired land on the west side of the San Joaquin Valley and Southern California water agencies. On July 5, Restore the Delta and sixteen other Delta community and political leaders sent a letter to Congressman Tom McClintock, Chair of the House Sub Committee on Water and Power, to express widespread and growing opposition to HR 1837, sponsored by Representative Devin Nunes (D-CA).
