I’ve referred to the “slippery slope”, “Perilous Path To Proper Patriotism” , and various cutsie terms to describe the downfall of the relationship between Americans and The United States Government.

In short – unless Americans wake up – we are screwed. Yes. This is a strong statement. Maybe even one that will get me landed on some Department of Homeland Security list (which will later be publicly retracted but never erased) always pulled out of line to get the old “blue gloved” treatment if I should ever choose to fly, ride the rails, or perhaps walk down the street with my cell phone turned off from the Big O’s announcements. After all – I’m fairly dangerous as a Veteran and thinking person.

When did I become dangerous? When did we allow our children to be trained up to accept this loss of liberty lasse faire attitude?

When I grew up the biggest concern in High School concerning the Prom was ensuring that what I wore was “close enough to cool” to keep me out of the misfit category. Now, thanks to a Federal Judge and the inability of reason to prevail, Santa Fe Prom goers have the additional pleasure of allowing Professional Gropers to ensure they are “clean before entry”. (Video Link)  Yeah – read some double entendre in that if you feel like it.

Saturday night, a certified TSA official will be at the Santa Fe High School prom to oversee student searches.

This all comes after two Capital High School students, sisters, filed a lawsuit saying they were groped by a security agent at Capital High School’s prom last month. On Friday, the court ordered Santa Fe Public Schools and the security company ASI to provide at least one TSA certified person at the Santa Fe High School prom and the Capital High School graduation.

I am not sure which is worse. The fact that Teen age “would be terrorists” went to this dance knowing that the molesting massage was coming or the knowledge that their Parents didn’t dress up in chains to protest the “bounce the boobies for bombs” action. Wonder if the Staff and Chaperones had the same treatment? Probably not.

Why should we as the American populace care about this anyway?

Let’s use Indiana as a case in point.

As far as I am concerned, any American citizen living in our wonderful state of Indiana should just don the striped prison uniform and get the illusion of personal freedom out-of-the-way. In the past two weeks the only good news to come out of this state is that Governor Daniels is not running for President. He seems to be happy micro managing in his mini-meglomaniac way the microcosm of mayhem (i.e. Indiana). Citing “family concerns”, which may or not mean that he has followed in Arnie’s footsteps with the household help, he bowed out of the race.

Why Hoosiers are being hosed so completely – I just don’t know. Last week Indiana’s Supreme Court decided that Warrants were not necessary in order to enter a home. Not only that, but that basically “resistance is futile”.

In a 3-2 decision, Justice Steven David writing for the court said if a police officer wants to enter a home for any reason or no reason at all, a homeowner cannot do anything to block the officer’s entry.

“We believe … a right to resist an unlawful police entry into a home is against public policy and is incompatible with modern Fourth Amendment jurisprudence,” David said. “We also find that allowing resistance unnecessarily escalates the level of violence and therefore the risk of injuries to all parties involved without preventing the arrest.”

David said a person arrested following an unlawful entry by police still can be released on bail and has plenty of opportunities to protest the illegal entry through the court system.

The week before the aforementioned Indiana Justice System decided:

Justices on the Indiana Supreme Court this week decided in two rulings that police no longer need to knock before entering if immediate or pressing action is required.

The rulings cut another piece out of the cloth of civil rights to which our state and national constitutions say we are all entitled.

Justices ruled 5-0 that in general, if officers serving a warrant determine a suspect may escape, evidence may be destroyed or an officer’s safety is in danger, or there are other legitimate reasons to enter, they may do so without knocking.

Other legitimate reasons? “Say. It’s Tuesday Bob and I could go for some homemade Apple Pie. Let’s just zip on over to Main Street and go door to door.” Yeah. That sounds about right.

What other way could Indiana chisel away at the Constitution? Hey – I know – why not allow some rent-a-driver to search school kids on the bus due to suspicion? After their intense training I am quite sure that drivers qualify for the job

School bus drivers could be given the power to search students and their belongings under a proposal before the Vigo County School Board.

Of course if you really want to give the kids a thrill, why not put an extra TSA Officer on every bus and make the searches mandatory? That way Officials could nab any illegal items such as American Flags, Peanuts, Sugar Containing Products, Chocolate Milk, and functioning brains.

What can we do?

Well – I propose we all dress up like black-robed Judges with blue gloves and SWAT hats while circling the local mini-mall in a big yellow school bus. That’ll show ’em!

Come on people. Stop waiting for someone to tell you what to do about these nut cases that are currently running the asylum which the United States has become. Determine one action that has caused your head to shake from side to side in disgust. Then look at the root cause of that issue and then take appropriate action.

My personal action will be taken on Memorial Day. As an Oath Keeper I plan to demonstrate against the murder of Corporal Jose Guerena in Arizona by a SWAT team which chose to utilize the “multiple bullet rule” (i.e. after 71 bullets, there is no other side of the story).

As you may know, on May 5, 2011, a young 26 year old Marine veteran who had survived two tours in Iraq, and father of two, Jose Guereña, was killed in a SWAT raid in Tucson, Arizona (see below news articles for details). At approximately 9:30 am, two hours after he hit the rack after working a twelve hour graveyard shift at an Arizona mine, his wife woke him by yelling that there were men with guns outside (she had seen a man outside the window pointing a gun at her). He told her to take their four year old son and hide in a closet, grabbed his AR-15, and stepped out into the hallway of his home just as his front door was battered in.

The deadliest weapon in the world is a Marine and his rifle.

He died with his safety on protecting his family.

What say you? Will you cower in the closet waiting for whatever comes? Will you allow your children to be strip searched in public places for their own safety? Will your door break in and the splinters of the Constitution rain upon that battered body of freedom that was formerly your proudest possession?
