“I guess, Henry Waxman was the only person to discover this close tie between financial reform and dietary supplements.  Who would have imagined such a thing?  Guess that’s why he’s a Representative; he can divine the deep connections between corrupt financial institutions and your right to use and purchase dietary supplements to help offset the toxic effects of gmo food, chemicals, additives, pesticides and herbicides that have contaminated what was once nutritional food sources.”

Contrary to the news flying around that Codex Alimentarius with regards to vitamins and supplements is dead: it is not.  In the usual fashion of all things slimy and slippery in the District of Criminals, the bill originally promoted by Sen. John McCain (R):S.3002 The Dietary Supplement Safety Act (DSSA) of 2010 A bill, to amend the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to more effectively regulate dietary supplements that may pose safety risks unknown to consumers”, quickly became another mill stone around the Senators’ neck as the public backlash on this one was massive.

Apparently the Senator was unaware that unlike toxic pharmaceuticals routinely approved by the FDA as safe and effective (if you consider possible death, stroke, heart attack, blood clots, etc., ) as an acceptable side affect, dietary supplements and nutritional aids have no such history.   In fact, those manufacturers of nutritional supplements would not consider death as a result of the use of their products as simply “collateral damage” to be expected in pursuit of mega profits.

The Senator quickly withdrew the bill, but that wasn’t the end of it.

Off it went to the committee that is supposed to be writing or re-writing or whatever it is they do while their stakeholders (campaign donors, big corps, lobbyists) write or re-arrange the language in the bills to make sure Corporation (X) makes kabillions in profits and at the same making sure they are totally unaccountable or liable for whatever toxic poisons they dump on the American public.  That committee is the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee whose members can be viewed here on the right side of the page.

For whatever reason, it could have been the lobbyists were busy buying off other officials on a bigger deal or, the “committee” might have just decided it would be far more expedient to have Henry Waxman (D) insert the restrictive overtaking of nutritional supplements into the Restoring American Financial Stability Act. S.3217.   or what ever they are calling it now.  Whatever they end up calling it, I suppose a more appropriate title would be the “Buggering America Again Act (and for other purposes)”.

You know darn well there will be nothing in that “reform” bill that will limit, regulate, or in any way reign in or hold accountable either the banking industry, Wall Street or the horrendous Federal Reserve.  All it will do is to create ever more corporate government agencies, bureaucracies and regulations for us just like the healthcare reform did!  I cannot imagine the number of new bureaucracies and increases in Federal employees this bill will be creating.

Who knew nutritional supplements and financial reform were so intertwined?

I guess, Henry Waxman was the only person to discover this close tie between financial reform and dietary supplements.  Who would have imagined such a thing?  Guess that’s why he’s a Representative; he can divine the deep connections between corrupt financial institutions and your right to use and purchase dietary supplements to help offset the toxic effects of gmo food, chemicals, additives, pesticides and herbicides that have contaminated what was once nutritional food sources.

It would be interesting to find out who actually wrote the bill containing the Codex language.  We know it wasn’t McCain, most days he doesn’t know what planet he’s on.  We know it wasn’t the committee because they are far too busy staging phony hearings for the camera’s concerning issues they have no intention of doing anything about;  so that just leaves Henry…….and the lobbyists, corporate sponsors, special interests, United Nations Codex Committee and various other “stakeholders”.  Certainly none of us were asked to offer suggestions.

Personally, I believe the trip this dietary supplement language has made from bill, to committee to another non-related bill is a symbol of the dirty deals, back-handed corruption, malfeasance and absolute inability or willingness by any one of those royal jackass’s calling themselves senators and representatives, who suck up taxpayer money, to do anything without first considering how much damage they can cause to the public, and how much that damage will be worth to them come campaign time from the corporate donors, special and foreign interests who benefit so mightily from a congress so thoroughly “for sale”.

As for the Restoring American Financial Stability Act, this is just another blow to the American public.  Language has already been stripped out of the house bill that would have required an audit of the Federal Reserve, and the Senate hasn’t even passed their version of this bill yet.  Guess they are mired down in trying to understand the connection between those dietary supplements and the crooks, thieves, thugs and cheats who stole most of America’s wealth.  They should talk to Henry; he knows.

Wall Street will most likely hold an event similar to Mardi Gras when this piece of congressional crap passes.  Don’t get excited; you are not invited. You are just going to pay the bill.
