Well, it’s been real. 68 pounds lighter and meaner than a snake-bit dog, I’m back. I have found out who my friends are, and can count them on one hand, with fingers left over. Keep tuned for some more postings from your’s truly. Until then, I have only one thing to add:

Sorry to hear about the stress and budgetary problems. I’ve been there, myself. Good job on the elimination of processed foods, which is one of the key components of the paleolithic diet I eat, along with eliminating sugar, which is also a processed “food.” One of the best online sources of data on the paleolithic diet is http://www.paleodiet.com
You can find out all about it there. Basically, it’s a modern emulation of our stone age ancestors’ diet, sometimes referred to as the “Hunter-Gatherer Diet.”

Hi Gary,
The weight loss was due to several factors. One was the attempt at eliminating processed foods, which contain mainly GMO products, and the return to a more natural diet including organically grown produce from my own garden, and organically grown meat from my sheep, geese, and chickens. I limited drastically my intake of sugar, and make my own bread too. Another factor was stress and a limited budget. I will be posting shortly about my experiences.

Glad to see you’re okay, Barb. I hope the weight loss was intentional and due to something like the paleolithic diet (responsible for my own weight loss, last year).
