Anyone who still has any doubts about Barrack Obama’s intentions to take our guns away should read this article. Obama’s choice for Attorney General, Eric Holder, could have the power to ban – at his discretion – all semi-automatic rifles and shotguns that are “designed for military or law enforcement use,” provided HR 1022 (now in House Subcommitte on Crime, Terrorism and Homeland Security) becomes law.
This would effectively disarm the people of the United States to such a degree they would be helpless in the event they had to defend themselves against a high-tech tryannical regime’s declaration of martial law and warfare on the American people. This would confine citizens to the use of crude, outdated bolt-action rifles and hunting shotguns – weapons that are not designed for self-defense as much as they are for hunting.
If HR 1022 becomes law, how much longer will it be before all guns are banned completely? Anyone who thinks it can’t happen here need only look at the UK, where it’s already happened, decades ago.
When guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns – and the outlaws who are running our government obviously have a vested interest in seeing to it that this is exactly what will happen.

Oops, I meant it’s NOT just because of Obama.

Even so, Marti, there has been a run on both guns and ammo since November’s elections. It’s been all over the mainstream and the alternative news. But, again, the point is that it’s JUST because of Obama’s election. This has been going on for over a year, now.

Geez Dilli…….Everything under the sun has gone up. Food prices are up 60% from last year. Clothing is off the charts. Insurance rates have reached all time highs, medical bills are obscene.
What went down? Housing……after being falsley inflated for five years…crashed.
Oil: After 30 billion in profits in one year for the domestic oil cartels……fianlly came down when the demand dropped 15% in two months. Thats huge.
Everything being sold at retail is rising. EVERYTHING. you can’t single out guns and ammo and say because of OBAMA these things are going up. The man isn’t even in office yet. SALES have increased of guns and ammo. But ammo has been intentionally under produced. This of course makes supply less than demand…..and retailers take advantage of that and increase the price. And also, the government wants the price increased to help limit sales. And that isn;t the Obama government which doesn’t exist yet……thats the chickenhawks currently running everything.

No. What I said was that ammo prices were already rising, in response to ammo being bought up by minions of the globalists, and that the election of Obama has added to the rise in ammo prices. As for the price of guns, I haven’t analyzed this, personally, so I can’t say anything about that. The main thing, though, is the price of ammunition. As has been said here, without ammo a gun of any type is useless, so those in control of its availability can effectively control the extent to which we’re able to arm and defend ourselves.

So ammo prices went up regardless of Obama and gun prices are the same?

Yes, and, conversely, the more threatened we are by our own government, the more people will seek means of protecting themselves. Meanwhile, divorcing yourself from their system to the greatest degree possible will make it harder for them to control us, especially if enough of us do it at the same time. Don’t comply with any new laws or regulations that compel you pay a carbon tax, register livestock, or allow inspectors or police into your home to look for things without a warrant. Insist upon your constitutionally guaranteed rights at all times and don’t back down. When we submit out of fear, we will be playing right into their hands. It’s time to be grown-ups, folks.

We haven’t noticed any real increase in price of guns. My partner just bought another, and after much shoppng to get what he wanted, got his for a really good price overall. Because of th efear that Obama will ban guns, sales have shot up and retailers have increased their prices, not out of neccesity but rather from opportunity. Ammo on th eother hand has risen as the noose tightens on legal gun owners. For years now those who purchase ammo have had to sign for it. In 2006 they began limiting the amount you could buy. This will only get worse as things worsen for all of us. The more threatened the government feels by its onw population, the more effort will be exerted to limit our ability to fight back.

You missed the period in early 2008, before Obama was clearly a candidate. It was at that time the globalists (or their agents) began buying up ammo supplies, particularly in 7.62mm, which is required for assault rifles. The price of ammo was already rising because the market was being cornered by those who have an agenda to disarm us. The price only rose more as it became clear Obama was the front runner, that’s all.

That’s weird because I didn’t really notice that much of a change in ammo prices during the 8 years Bush was in office. Well let me change that…. it went up with clinton and the brady bill… then when Bush came in it stayed the same and when the brady bill died prices came down (on guns) a bit… then when Obama and McCain were running and Obama became the clear winner gun/ ammo prices spiked not to mention supply decreasing.

Marti is correct. I had heard of ammunition shortages as early as last winter, myself, when I was contemplating buying my first gun. I noticed, also, that while the price of shotgun ammo, in general, has risen, it has especially risen in double-ought buckshot, which is defensive ammunition. Bird shot, which is made for hunters and is less effective against an attacker is still relatively plentiful and costs much less. I have heard that it is particularly supplies of military grade ammo, especially 7.62mm that is most affected. This is the ammunition needed for so-called “assault” rifles, which the globalists have been trying to ban the sale of for years. Obama’s election has only added to what has already been happening for some time now.

Actually not. For the last year the federal government has been hindering the production of ammo. CNN reported early last year that ammo supplies were in danger of being in shortage. Lou Dobbs said that regardless of the attempt to make it appear that it was military ammo that was in short supply, it was in fact domestic ammo that was and that was the first step in rendering guns as useless here at home. As he said, why worry about taking away guns when limiting or outlawing ammo would be far more effective in rendering the population unable to defend itself.

What aggravates me about this is that not only do we know Obama is anti-gun but inadvertantly he’s THE reason why gun/ ammo prices have jumped off the roof. Double edged sword.

This isn’t about “left and right,” “Republicans vs. Democrats,” my friend. It’s about we, as American citizens, protecting the few rights we still have left – while we still can.
Obama is a puppet – just like McCain would be if he were the one installed as President – and he serves a master other than the American people: i.e., the Council on Foreign Relations and the Trilateral Commission. In other words, he serves the globalist agenda of erecting a world police state that benefits only the corporate money masters at the top of the pyramid. Further, Obama has a long record of being the worse enemy of the people’s right to keep and bear arms – a right that protects us all against the rise of a despotic regime – and a right that the Constitution acknowledges as a pre-existing condition of human existence: the right to defend one’s own life.
If you don’t understand this and wake up to the truth of what is going on in our very midst, sir, then you are a fool.

First…….I happen to be a registered Democrat….lifelong.
This is not about who is appointed but rather their willingness to support unconstitutional laws or directives banning the use or ownership of guns. This is your 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms that is at stake. We have lost so much of our rights under the Bush policies…….I won’t give up another and don’t even own a gun.

Hmmm. So we’ve got a problem because the officials we elected might pass a law that the AG might then enforce? I thought that’s how it worked here. Funny how the conservatives only like democracy when they’re running it. Vote more of your people in next time.

True, and they’ve already begun buying up ammunition, months ago, to take it off the market. Of course, if you try to find out anything about this now, all you’ll find are articles talking about how ammo is currently being bought up in response to Obama’s election. How conveniently this obscures what was already being done.

This is something we all need to watch closely. The next step will be to saturate the media with reports of all the crimes they can gather up and then point at guns…..rather than people….as the problem. guns won’t be banned…….they will simply make ammunition unavaliable making them useless.
We are so close to totally forfeiting our country to globalists who value neither our country or us.
