Neo-cons Not Aware of Any Impeachable Offenses.

Today I watched with anticipation the Judiciary Committee hearings on whether or not there was sufficient evidence, or any evidence at all, that the Bush Administration was corrupt, had abused its power and had mislead the American people regarding the war with Iraq, illegal spying and wiretapping of American citizens and if it had corrupted the Department of Justice.  Several other issues were touched upon but of course everyone was limited to five minutes to state their case which had the immediate and desired affect of limiting any attempts to actually expose the full scope of criminal activity by this corrupt and shameful administration.

Of particular interest to me were the statements by ranking committee member Rep. Lamar Smith of the 21st District of Texas.

According to Representative Smith, not only did he not believe that the Bush Administration and its cohorts in crime had committed any crimes worthy of investigation, he felt the hearings themselves were shameful and a waste of time.  Apparently Mr. Smith has either been in a coma for the last seven years, or is blissfully ignorant not only of what has transpired during this time but the affect these years have had not only on our civil liberties but also what it has cost us as a nation in blood and tears.

Mr. Smith seemed not at all impressed with the facts that more than a million Iraqi’s have been slaughtered in this war for oil and greed, along with 4,127 American military men and women and that these deaths and this carnage was brought about by the lies of the worst president and administration we have ever had to endure as a nation.  Mr. Smith indicated that the president had committed no impeachable offenses.  That this supposed representative of a Texas district could make such statements with a straight face was a shock to the senses of anyone who had paid any attention at all to the illegal activities and actions of this administration since 2001.

Two panels were seated during this inquiry, and on the second was a gentleman named Jeremy Rabkin.  Mr. Rabkin is a professor of law at George Mason University although how this man managed to obtain such employment must be a mystery.  Professor Rabkin was brought in as a witness apparently to bolster the neo-con position that it’s only a crime if a non global elitist does it.  What a pitiful example of the neo-con mindset this man is.

In what I can only describe as one of the most overly animated, gesticulating, face contorting diatribes I have ever witnessed, Professor Rabkin loudly proclaimed that the mood of the people in the room was “demented”.  (I found it to be quite passive and docile until he himself began raging.) It would seem, according to the professor, that anyone in the room or out of the room who believed that impeachable offenses had been committed were deranged.

While this neo-con buffoon did everything but physically jump on the desk and twist his body into the shape of a pretzel he presented not one shred of legal expertise to support his contention that there was no offense.  Far from coming off as a legal expert on Constitutional law, or any law at all for that matter, the professor seemed more to be auditioning for the Gong Show.  Mr. Rabkin’s appearance must have been more for distraction than for substance.  It was distracting and also quite uncomfortable to watch.

So, has the president committed any impeachable offenses?  Let me count the ways!  Illegal spying and wiretapping, data mining on US citizens,  manipulating intelligence to attack Iraq,  launching a pre-emptive war of aggression,  kidnapping and disappearing of foreign nationals,  secret prisons, torture,  signing statements directing departments and agencies not to abide by the law,  claiming powers not delegated to the  executive,  issuing executive orders contrary to constitutional law,  declaring himself above the common law,  illegal imprisonment, holding prisoners without charges, the intentional genocide of the Iraqi people for the benefit and gain of multinational oil cartels, corruption of the Department of Justice,  attempting to launch yet another war of aggression by provoking Iran,  entering into the Security & Prosperity Partnership intended to dissolve our sovereign nation,  failing to secure our southern border from illegal invasion,  and mounting an unmitigated War OF Terror against the American people.  This is the short list.

So what do you think, Mr. Smith?  Mr. Rabkin?  Can you look at this short list of offenses and still claim that nothing here is indicative of impeachable offenses?

These two gentlemen were surely not the only ones on the committee or panels who feigned indignation at the mere thought that anyone might want to hold this administration accountable, but they are the two who stood out, especially Mr. Rabkin whose head I thought was surely going to explode at one point if it didn’t break away from his body totally and spin across the room.

This may come as a shock to these gentlemen, but the American public has come to its own conclusions about this administration and its activities, and it was no thanks to either of you or people like you. It is after viewing such things as this hearing today, that I find myself wondering how Mr. Smith and Mr. Rabkin have continued to hold any position at all as both seem to be either clueless or so dedicated to the dead elephant in the room, the herd passed by them unnoticed

And the elephant is dead for all intents and purposes.  Yet, as today showed us, there are still those who believe that the neo-con tactics of distortion, manipulation, stonewalling, ranting and over-acting are still clung to by a few who refuse to admit the American people have tired of these antics, are no longer amused by them, and no longer sucked in by them.

Today also exposed one other thing; there is still a number of people willing to forfeit our country, our Constitution, our lives, rather than defend and protect the Constitution of the United States and our laws, as long as there is some benefit for them in doing so, whether hidden or overt.  For these individuals, party affiliation, political pandering and inclusion in what can only be described as an anti-American movement is far more important than preserving our nation and protecting not only our government, but its people as well, from a cabal dedicated to seeing it destroyed.

Whether congress moves to impeach this criminal administration or not, the majority of people in the United States have.  We didn’t have to call in cartoon professors, or put dummy politicians on a committee…..we figured it out for ourselves.  And, if ordinary people can look at the actions of this administration, and admit that they were duped into a war on behalf of oil cartels; if they can find evidence on their own that a massive deception and fraud was perpetrated on the American people that has cost so many lives; if they can comprehend and realize that everything we hold dear is being stripped away from us……why can’t congress?

It seems a strange thing to me that ordinary citizens are willing to speak up and speak out about the travesties of this administration, that they can see the need to bring to accountability those who have so terribly abused their offices for reasons other than the over used “national security” excuse and yet our elected representatives are either unwilling or intentionally obstructing any efforts to act in defense of our country.

The neo-con, anti-American faction of the Republican Party has yet to realize that the dead elephant in the room, is them.  The only thing missing in today’s circus sideshow put on by the neo-cons was the lack of some raging Evangelical, born-again, God is putting a word of knowledge in my heart right now, rock star preacher. This was most likely just an oversight. After all, the clowns were there.

Congressman Lamar Smith 21st District of Texas

Tell Congress to reject the Bush/Mukasey plan to subvert the Constitution.

Dear ACLU Supporter,

Here they go again. On Monday, Bush’s Attorney General, Michael Mukasey, called on Congress to take dramatic steps to subvert the Constitution.

Mukasey is demanding that Congress issue a new declaration of war that would make the entire globe — including the United States itself — a “battlefield” where the president decides who will be locked up forever.

Instead of ending the Bush system of injustice, he wants Congress to make it permanent.

Tell Congress to reject the Bush/Mukasey plan to subvert the Constitution.

Not only has Bush’s Attorney General called on Congress to issue a new declaration of war, but he is also asking Congress to:

1. Gut habeas corpus — the freedom that protects people from being thrown in prison illegally — with no help, no end in sight and no due process.

2. Cover up the Bush administration’s systemic torture and abuse of detainees. Judges would not be allowed to see evidence of torture and abuse and would instead simply have to trust that a president is holding the right people as ”enemy combatants.”

With only five weeks left in the congressional schedule and only six months left in the Bush presidency, Mukasey’s power grab should be laughed out of town. But, given this Congress’ track record, the Mukasey proposal is no laughing matter.

Tell Congress to reject the Bush/Mukasey plan to subvert the Constitution.

Too many times, we’ve seen Congress cave in to the most outrageous Bush demands for out-of-control powers: The Patriot Act. National Security Letters. The Military Commissions Act. The Protect America Act. And, most recently, the congressional sell-out on FISA.

Four times the Supreme Court has rejected the Bush administration’s efforts to design a war on terror system of injustice that defies the Constitution and mocks the rule of law. In the past, the administration has responded, not by respecting the Constitution, but by counting on Congress to legitimize its indefensible conduct.

There is no way we can let that happen this time. Even as the House Judiciary Committee investigates whether high-level Bush White House officials may have committed crimes of torture and abuse, the Bush administration has the arrogance to ask Congress to give it the power to detain people without trial and hide torture and abuse from the courts.

Tell Congress to reject the Bush/Mukasey plan to subvert the Constitution.

We can’t take for granted that Congress will reject the Bush/Mukasey plan. We have to meet this outrageous proposal with an immediate wall of protest that says to Congress: “Don’t you dare.”

I urge you to join defenders of freedom all across the country in raising your voice against Attorney General Mukasey’s dangerous proposal.

Thanks for speaking out,

Caroline Fredrickson, Director
ACLU Washington Legislative Office

Death of Free Internet is Imminent

Canada Will Become Test Case

By Kevin Parkinson

21/07/08 “Global Research” — – In the last 15 years or so, as a society we have had access to more information than ever before in modern history because of the Internet. There are approximately 1 billion Internet users in the world B and any one of these users can theoretically communicate in real time with any other on the planet. The Internet has been the greatest technological achievement of the 20th century by far, and has been recognized as such by the global community.

The free transfer of information, uncensored, unlimited and untainted, still seems to be a dream when you think about it.  Whatever field that is mentioned- education, commerce, government, news, entertainment, politics and countless other areas-  have been radically affected by the introduction of the Internet.

And mostly, it’s good news, except when poor judgements are made and people are taken advantage of. Scrutiny and oversight are needed, especially where children are involved.

However, when there are potential profits open to a corporation, the needs of society don’t count. Take the recent case in Canada with the behemoths, Telus and Rogers rolling out a charge for text messaging without any warning to the public. It was an arrogant and risky move for the telecommunications giants because it backfired. People actually used Internet technology to deliver a loud and clear message to these companies and that was to scrap the extra charge. The people used the power of the Internet against the big boys and the little guys won.

However, the issue of text messaging is just a tiny blip on the radar screens of Telus and another company, Bell Canada, the two largest Internet Service Providers (ISP’S) in Canada. Our country is being used as a test case to drastically change the delivery of Internet service forever. The change will be so radical that it has the potential to send us back to the horse and buggy days of information sharing and access.

In the upcoming weeks watch for a report in Time Magazine that will attempt to smooth over the rough edges of a diabolical plot by Bell Canada and Telus, to begin charging per site fees on most Internet sites.  The plan is to convert the Internet into a cable-like system, where customers sign up for specific web sites, and then pay to visit sites beyond a cutoff point.

From my browsing (on the currently free Internet) I have discovered that the ‘demise’ of the free Internet is slated for 2010 in Canada, and two years later around the world.  Canada is seen a good choice to implement such shameful and sinister changes, since Canadians are viewed as being laissez fair, politically uninformed and an easy target. The corporate marauders will iron out the wrinkles in Canada and then spring the new, castrated version of the Internet on the rest of the world, probably with little fanfare, except for some dire warnings about the ‘evil’ of the Internet (free) and the CEO’s spouting about ‘safety and security’. These buzzwords usually work pretty well.

What will the Internet look like in Canada in 2010? I suspect that the ISP’s will provide a “package” program as companies like Cogeco currently do.

Customers will pay for a series of websites as they do now for their television stations.  Television stations will be available on-line as part of these packages, which will make the networks happy since they have lost much of the younger market which are surfing and chatting on their computers in the evening. However, as is the case with cable television now, if you choose something that is not part of the package, you know what happens. You pay extra.

And this is where the Internet (free) as we know it will suffer almost immediate, economic strangulation. Thousands and thousands of Internet sites will not be part of the package so users will have to pay extra to visit those sites!  In just an hour or two it is possible to easily visit 20-30 sites or more while looking for information.  Just imagine how high these costs will be.

At present, the world condemns China because that country restricts certain websites. “They are undemocratic; they are removing people’s freedom; they don’t respect individual rights; they are censoring information,” are some of the comments we hear. But what Bell Canada and Telus have planned for Canadians is much worse than that.  They are planning the death of the Internet (free) as we know it, and I expect they’ll be hardly a whimper from Canadians. It’s all part of the corporate plan for a New World Order and virtually a masterstroke that will lead to the creation of billions and billions of dollars of corporate profit at the expense of the working and middle classes.

There are so many other implications as a result of these changes, far too many to elaborate on here. Be aware that we will all lose our privacy because all websites will be tracked as part of the billing procedure, and we will be literally cut off from 90% of the information that we can access today. The little guys on the Net will fall likes flies; Bloggers and small website operators will die a quick death because people will not pay to go to their sites and read their pages.

Ironically, the only medium that can save us is the one we are trying to save- the Internet (free). This article will be posted on my Blog, www.realitycheck.typepad.com and I encourage people and groups to learn more about this issue. Canadians can keep the Internet free just as they kept text messaging free.  Don’t wait for the federal politicians. They will do nothing to help us.

I would welcome a letter to the editor of the Standard Freeholder from a spokesperson from Bell Canada or Telus telling me that I am absolutely wrong in what I have written, and that no such changes to the Internet are being planned, and that access to Internet sites will remain FREE in the years to come.  In the meantime, I encourage all of you to write to the media, ask questions, phone the radio station, phone a friend, or think of something else to prevent what appears to me to be inevitable.

Maintaining Internet (free) access is the only way we have a chance at combatting the global corporate takeover, the North American Union, and a long list of other deadly deeds that the elite in society have planned for us.

Yesterday was too late in trying to protect our rights and freedoms. We must now redouble our efforts in order to give our children and grandchildren a fighting chance in the future.

Protected by the White House, the FDA and Congress: BRASSCHECK TV video

Pharmaceutical company ethics

“Consistent with regulations”

Bayer knowingly sold contaminated medicine. This is the level of protection you can inspect from the FDA, the Congress, and the White House.

Another story that came and went and never stuck.

How many people assume that the drugs prescribed to them by their doctor are safe.

They don’t realize that for the vast majority of doctors, they only know what their pharmaceutical reps told them last week.

And the pharmaceutical companies?

They only know what will make them money.

Congress, the White House and the FDA are in on the game.

It’s time we all woke up to how bad it is.

Consider this short video our wake up call:

Mercury in vaccines causes autism BRASSCHECK TV/video

The White House won’t protect them, the Congress won’t protect them, your doctor won’t protect them.

If you have small children in your life, you must protect them.

Start with this video:

– Brasscheck

P.S. One of the most important videos we’ve posted in a long time.

The interview is nine months old, but few saw it and then the issue “disappeared.”

If you don’t tell you friends and colleagues, no one else is likely to do it.

This is one tragedy you can stop.

 Mercury in vaccines causes autism

Children of the current generation receive 24 mandatory vaccinations. A generation ago, only 10 were required.

Through vaccinations, children receive 400x the amount of mercury deemed safe by the FDA.

The Hep B routinely given to newborns contains so much mercury preservative that it would normally only be considered safe under standard medical guidelines to give to a 275 pound adult.

Why is this going on?

Politics and corruption.

In the White House, in Congress, in the FDA, in the medical establishment, and in the pharmaceutical industry.

Simple guidelines:

1. Never bring your child to be immunized if he or she is already ill

2. Do not allow the doctor to load your child up on multiple immunizations on a single visit just because it is more convenient for him, the doctor.

3. Avoid all unnecessary vaccinations. Make the doctor explain to you in detail the justification for every single one she recommends. They research it before you go ahead.

4. If you feel you must comply, delay them as long as possible to give your child time to grow.

The US Is On The Verge Of Utter Financial Collapse And Martial Law

William Cormier has written another of his articles meant to wake us up from our slumber.  Middle class America is being systematically killed off with corporate greed, corrupt politicians and parasites of all kinds.

US Is On The Verge Of Utter Financial Collapse And Martial Law

by William Cormier                                http://www.opednews.com

Excerpted from the article:
“Lobbyists are nothing more than legally sanctioned con artists and a system where bribing America’s Congress has become legal and against the interests of the general public; to bring accountability back to government and stop the bribing of our Congress, we need sweeping legislation that will stop this form of bribery – but don’t expect it soon, as Congress will be extremely reluctant to kill the goose that is laying golden eggs into the campaign coffers and hidden bank accounts of those who vote for money rather than patriotism. If there were any justice left in our nation, there’s little doubt that a huge segment of our Congress could be indicted for bribery and actions that I believe amount to treason. Yes, the wording of this particular Op-Ed is harsh, but with Bush essentially “green lighting” an attack on Iran by Israel, it’s vital that the public take action and impeach Bush and Cheney before they are allowed to finish-off their destruction of America!”

A secret meeting of Congress discusses immanent martial law.

Included in the article is this reference on the recent closed door session of congress:…………………………….

B.A. Brooks
The United American Freedom Foundation
March 13, 2008

On March 13th 2008 there was a secret closed door meeting of The United States House Of Representatives in Washington. In the history of The United States this is only the fourth time a secret meeting was held by the house. Even though Representatives are sworn to secrecy by House Rules XVII, some of the members were so shocked, horrified, furious, and concerned about the future of America by what was revealed to them inside the secret meeting, that they have started to leak this secret information to independent news agencies around the world. The mass media said almost nothing about the secret meeting of the House, mentioning only one of the items being discussed. (The new surveillance techniques that are going to be used by the U.S. Government to watch all American citizens). The story was first released in a newspaper out of Brisbane, Australia revealing the contents of the secret U.S. Government meeting and plans for America including all of it’s citizens. Shortly there after, David J. Meyer from Last Trumpet Ministries found it and made it more available for the world to see.

Here is what was revealed:

* The imminent collapse of the U.S. Economy to occur sometime in late 2008

* The imminent collapse of the U.S. Government finances sometime in mid 2009

* The possibility of Civil War inside the United States as a result of the collapse

* The advance round-ups of “insurgent U.S. Citizens” likely to move against the government

* The detention of those rounded up at The REX 84 Camps constructed throughout the United States

* The possibility of public retaliation against members of Congress for the collapses

* The location of safe facilities for members of Congress and their families to reside during massive civil unrest
* The necessary and unavoidable merger of The U.S. with Canada and Mexico establishing The North American Union
* The issuance of a new currency called the AMERO for all three nations as an economic solution.

“Except for a few hundred thousand U.S. Patriots, most Americans have no clue what has really been going on within The United States over the past 100 years, and the sad thing is that most do not want to know the truth. The further you look into the rabbit hole, the deeper it gets. Go to any currency conversion site and convert U.S. dollars to Euros so you can see for yourself the massive decline of the dollar. Look at how much money is and has been spent on the Iraq War to date, ($12 billion per month). Look at our currency and when it stopped being backed by gold. MUCH MORE

We Are Stealing Iraqi Oil and Calling It Democracy.

Oil production sharing agreements should be more aptly called “How we stole the Iraqi’s oil and used our military to do it”.  The push to pass production sharing agreements through the Iraqi parliament has hit numerous bumps in the road.  The Iraqi parliament, which is nothing more than part of the puppet government set up by Bush and other global elitists, refused to pass the new oil laws necessary to allow up to 60% of Iraqi oil production to be owned by non-Iraqi entities.  That would be Exxon/Mobil, BP and Dutch Shell to you and me.

If you think or believe that the current oil prices have anything to do with whether or not we are sinking wells in the Gulf of Mexico, in ANWAR, or anywhere else on or around this continent, you probably shouldn’t be reading this article.  The current oil prices are directly tied to your willingness to continue to slaughter the people of a country whose economy is based on oil and which nationalizes its production rather than allowing a few greedy globalist elites to rape and plunder this national asset.  The higher they crank up the price per gallon, the more willing we are to kill people “over there” rather than control corporations “over here”.

When the Iraqi parliament refused in 2007 to pass new laws to benefit the above mentioned global parasites, the Bush regime went into high gear propaganda mode.  Supposedly, attacks by insurgents were way up and now we had to increase troop levels to protect our soldiers (and for other purposes).  Seems to me, if troop safety was ever a concern, they wouldn’t have been half way around the world fighting a pre-emptive war against a non-threatening country to gain access to their oil.

I don’t believe in coincidences and I don’t believe it’s coincidental that the failure to pass the long coveted agreements coincided with the troop surge which precipitated even more death and destruction in Iraq.  Neither do I believe that insurgent attacks were any more prevalent than at any other time.  The troop surge was nothing less than a signal to the puppet Iraqi government that there was nothing we would not do, no weapon we wouldn’t use, no bomb we wouldn’t drop, and no one we wouldn’t torture into submission to get those agreements passed.  And now that the agreements look like they will become a reality?  Why!  The insurgent attacks have dropped so much that it looks like some of our troops can begin coming home.  Go figure.

This is where I say “I told you so!”  Two years ago I wrote about this very issue and stated that until these agreements were passed to benefit the oil cartels, there would be no withdrawal, no end to the occupation and no end in sight to this war.  What is a nation like ours, whose economy is 45% dependent upon the war industry to do?

It seems that one of our diplomats reported to British newspapers that Israel has been put on “amber alert”, standby, with instructions to ready itself to attack Iran.  See, we aren’t going to attack them……Israel is; Israel that has been armed with more than 200 nuclear warheads in violation of the non-proliferation treaty.  Armed with weapons we have supplied them, manufactured and developed by our arms industry.  Israel that has been performing training exercises over Iran regularly for at least two years in an attempt to provoke them into war.  Supposedly we aren’t going to send any of our military to assist them.  Just more weapons and be there as a back up.

In my opinion, the Israeli people suffer from the same corruption of government as we do.  The Israeli government and those behind the scenes in Israel, who pull the strings, no more represent the Israeli people than Bush and Cheney represent America.  Neither government views its people as anything more than fodder for the cannons.  And neither government represents anyone other than a collection of obscenely wealthy multinationals who believe that we are all dispensable as long as they get what they desire.  And this international cabal of evil is now set to raze yet another mid-eastern country with the sole intent of seizing its assets and controlling the world’s oil supply.  So what if a few million Iranians die?

This does seem to be a matter of “when they do it, we call it terrorism, when we do it we call justified”.  America has lost any semblance of being a just or civil society.  We have been exposed to the world as corrupt, greedy, inhumane, unjust and murderous.  Rather than being an example to the world of what is right, of how good things can be when a democracy thrives, we have become the standard bearer for corruption and aggression.  It’s no wonder the rest of the world now views us as the biggest threat to peace.

More than this, we have been exposed as a country so dumbed down, so paralyzed with stupidity, we willingly tolerate a government that is actively working to take away our own democracy, our own freedoms while we sit idly by in our stupor.

This, as the Bush administration fabricates another phony threat with yet another country in another war for oil.
