We will be discussing the ongoing efforts by BLM to erradicate wild horse herds across the western states as the BLM passes out welfare mining and drilling leases to their cronnies.
Also at issue is the virtually unlimited cattle and sheep grazing. Water issues are also cited by BLM as critically impaired by the few horses left on the range.
Our wild horses are being managed to extinction by one of the most corrupt government agencies ever created….thats if Slaughterhouse Sue Wallis isn’t trying to make dinner out of them.
Listen in as RT updates us on all the latest news regarding the efforts to save our wild horses from the predators at the BLM and Sue Wallis’s dinner table.

WE LOVE HORSES. We recognize that our country was built upon the backs of horses and that they should be as appreciated as the eagle is as a symbol of America. While the eagle flew overhead, horses labored mightily on the land to bring people and their possessions to our vast frontiers. WE BELIEVE horses are magnificent, beautiful and innocent animals who work hard and are entitled to a retirement that provides them with proper food, shelter, space to run, vet care and love. We believe in the establishment of retirement funds for race and other working horses to ensure their future welfare. Mandating “social security” for horses could help curb the number of foals produced each year as well as help reduce the huge number who are sent to kill auctions and cruel, inhumane slaughter every year. If only a very few thoroughbreds make the racing grade each year, guess where too many of the others may be headed…FROM STABLE TO TABLE. We believe that horses who are not able to race or perform at certain levels ARE able to be retrained successfully into another career, if they are only given the chance.

California, 2005 – Death of a Mojave National Preserve Burro
By J.& K. Foster
In June of 2005, a wildfire in the Mojave National Preserve destroyed 70,000 acres and burned out several homes. The National Park Service (NPS) requested and received $84,500.00 in federal funds for burro removal from the burn area. They scheduled a roundup of all burros in the area and, over a period of about ten days in September, helicopters were used to catch 40+ burros, none of which came from the burn area.
When I got the call that they were holding burros at Kessler Springs Ranch, which had been turned into a Ranger Facility, I called BLM to see why we were not informed they would be gathering burros. It was not a BLM operation, so no one except Park Rangers and wranglers hired by NPS was over-seeing the roundup to make sure animals were safe. The burros that were captured were kept behind locked gates with big NO TRESPASSING SIGNS.
One day during the roundup, the wranglers located a beautiful large Jack (i.e. a male burro). They began chasing him until they literally ran him to collapse. One of the wranglers said, “Oh he has had a heart attack and died” so he started jumping up and down on the Jack’s abdomen. He would pick his head up by his ears and slam the head into the ground. The burro was exhausted he had no way to fight back. He was not dead when they left him. He was bleeding from the nose and the mouth. Chances are when the so-called “cowboy” jumped up and down on the Jack’s abdomen it probably crushed ribs, which punctured lungs. He may have even crushed the skull.
The wranglers asked a film crew present at the scene if they would use this film against them; the crew said they were no longer filming but cameras kept rolling. They sent me still shots of the Jack over what looks to be a 12-14 hour period. He died a terrible, slow, lonely death. They would have been more humane by shooting him to put an end to his suffering, but they did not even give him that much respect or dignity.

Here is a bit of history on America’s Wild Burros:
http://americanherds.blogspot.com/2007/12/direct-reduction.html
In 1984, the China Lake Naval Weapons Center in California began to initiate a “direct reduction program” of 5,900 wild burros in the area. In the beginning, 649 wild burros were shot on the base under this management plan until their deaths were discovered by animal welfare groups who successfully lobbied again for the humane “live removals” of 864 more.
Over the course of the next four years, an additional 4,387 wild burros were then removed by “live captures” until their numbers totaled less than 200 and now “allowed the Naval Weapons Center to reintroduce the native ungulate, the Desert Bighorn Sheep.” (1)
Since 1975, the Sierra Club has also endorses the reductions of wild burros and horses and has developed an extensive policy regarding their “management” that includes: eliminating them from all national parks and monuments, all areas protected by the Antiquities Act, all federal and state lands where rare, endangered, threatened, or endemic species of flora or fauna exist, national recreation areas as well as “eliminating them from key wildlife habitat, including desert bighorn habitat of the American Southwest, from designated natural areas” and supports the “carefully regulated numbers to minimize conflict with wildlife, livestock, and other range values.”
According to Deanne Stillman’s article, The Last Burros of the Mojave Desert, from 1987 to 1994, National Park Service shot 400 burros in Death Valley, CA with plans to accelerate these direct reductions in 1994 when a status change placed Death Valley under NPS sole jurisdiction.

Thank you for the opportunity to speak to the plight of our horses in the United States. The BLM is truly planning to kill each and every wild horse on our public lands…it is now documented.
